Adrian almost smiled at his mistress' words. For the cousin of the queen of Angels, she was quite homely in her tendencies. A stone-faced general of the Demons? Eating cookies with the flowery Duchess of the Angels? he thought. The idea was almost comical. "As you wish, mistress." he said, his face suddenly clouded over with another emotion that anyone other than himself wouldn't be able to place. It held affection, longing, and the greatest pain known to the heart... but no one else could understand why.

Ruby growled at his comment. She stayed in his gardens tho. She closed her eyes as she walked down the path. She took slow deep breathes, taking in the beautiful scent. She jumped up into a tree, and sat down on the branch. She began to sing her special song, all the plants slowly began to sway side to side as if there was a gentle breeze blowing. Everything just seemed to be blooming as she sand her song, her tail flicking side to side in tempo to her special song.

Raven turned to the newcomer. Great. Another stray, he thought. He walked to the redheaded guy and took an obvious sniff. Then, he wrinkled his nose in disdain, muttering, "Shape-shifter." He had received bad treatment from many shape-shifters because of their abilities and his lack-there-of. Now that infuriating woman expected him to room with one? Perfect. Instead of following his initial instinct to start yelling at the newbie, he just turned away and said, "Come on." He lead the shape-shifter to his beloved home and pointed to one side and said, "That's my side," and then gestured to the other, "And that's yours. It was originally a duplex, so you don't have to worry about interacting with me."

The oven timer went off and Elphida's face lit up. The cookies are done!! She placed the cookies in a basket and asked Adrian to carry over the milk. The warm sun out side Elphida's mansion was warm and inviting, she streched out her golden-tipped wings to warm in the rays. Cutting through the barriers of the neighbor's estates Elphida and Adrian walked in to Sera's beautiful gardens she walked past a beautiful oak tree, were sat what appeared to be a young fox, swaying gently with a pleased expression. "How lovely!" Elphida exclaimed quietly so as to not wake the seemingly sleeping fox.

Forest glanced to his side of the house, it was lovely, cast in beautiful sunlight, and encased with abandoned vines and flowers. With a breath of fresh air, he left Raven in peace, and went to check out his new home. The interior was as beautiful as the exterior, cozy and peaceful. He found a shelf of books and quickly rejoiced in the satisfaction of having something to read. Thinking of going back to talk with Raven, he decided to sit down and read, naturally picking up the first one he saw on animals. It was a while until Forest put down the book, anything on animals or different species was fascinating to him. He felt his stomache growl, asking for food. He wasn't sure when dinner would be served, but he hoped it was soon. Forest glanced back down to his book, flipping to a chapter about Pan's native species, quickly being pulled back into the book.

Ruby basically ignored everything around her. But not completly. She had her eyes now closed as she sang her song, the plants moving to and fro with it as they bloomed. She was happy in nature, and no snotty boy could scare her from a beautiful place. To think such a beautiful place was created by a retarded fool who didn't know when to keep his mouth shut or when to open it really. She pushed her thoughts away, this was almost like her way of meditating, that also help all plants around her just bloom beautifully and to a much fuller extent then possible naturally.

Raven felt a wave of growth rippling through his gardens. His head whipped around to spot that werecat chick singing his beloved flowers into a stupor. His eyes widened in alarm. "Stop! Stop! Stop! Don't force them that way! If you do that, their lives will be shorter! NO!! Stop!" he shouted, forgetting his cool demeanor. These flowers and this garden was his world. If she affected it with her magic, it wouldn't be the same. The blooms wouldn't be fond reminders of his hard work in growing them. They would just be another magic thing in this stupid planet. He splashed water over the flowers, coating them in it. They instantly returned to their previous, adolescent forms. He sighed with relief. Then, he turned and glared at the werecat. He leaped and turned into a gorgeous raven, a little larger than a mortal one, but still with black wings that glistened blue in the light. He flapped his wings in her face and retreated back down tot he ground. His condition couldn't allow him to last in that form for long. He was panting by the time he got down, but he didn't let his fatigue show. "There now. Stay. Out. Of. My. Gardens." he hissed.

Ruby's eyes opened wide when she was yelled at. She hissed as she was suddenly bumbarded with wings and fell backwards out of the tre, landing with a large thud in a bush. She stood up and glared at him, her pupils turning to slits. "For one. I know what I'm doing it won't injure them in any way possible. Number two just because it may be you're garden I live here to and doesn't give you right to push me out of a damned tree!" She yelled not noticing how her left arm was cut from the back of her shoulder to her elbow. She stepped out of the bush then looked down at it her ears flattened. "Now look what you made me do. You made me hurt the poor thing." She said. She sat on her knees beside it. She strangly reached into the ground in the shadows and pulled out a large canteen. She opened it up, wit ha flick of her wrist a ball of water, or so appeared, floated out. She put the canteen down as the waterbal floated. She clapped her hands together then suddenly separated them. The waterball spread out into little droplets. She put her hands on the ground and the water fell onto the bush, emediatly soaking into its roots and leaves. It slowly regrew back to normal. Ruby stood up, grabbed her canteen. Not even here she can get a little piece and quiet, even another were-animal has to put her life through hell. She looked over her shoulder at him, her face plank with all emotion. "Now if you don't mind. You're smell of hidiousy is repulse and I'd rather not eat my lunch for a second time." She said and walked off. She moved her arm so she could see the cut, it wasn't deep but it was bleeding her strange black purplish blood. She sighed. Her eyes now showing sorrow. She walked until she found a nice hiding place and crawled into the little space, pulling her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around her knees even tho it hurt her left arm. She layed her head on her knees, and her ears laid flat in a saddened way, her tail curling around her.

For maybe the first time in his life, Raven felt bad and victorious at the same time. He felt bad about the cut and the sadness that pretty much seeped from her eyes, but he felt victorious about getting her away from his flowers. It was true that perhaps her methods weren't necessarily negative, but he just had an overprotective feeling about his flowers. He liked working hard to cultivate and growing. He liked knowing when these flowers would bloom and sitting in the middle of them as they did. He ran his fingers through his hair and followed the girl, muttering a quick curse as he did. He found her nurturing her wound under a tree. Without any thought previous to it, he walked over and dumped a load of bandages on her lap. Then, he said, "There. It would be troublesome if your wound got infected, so here." Then, looking away with embarrassment, he quickly walked away. But, before disappearing, he shouted behind him, "And stay out of my gardens!" But this time, his words didn't seem so harsh.

Ruby jumped up when bandages and other things landedin her lap. Her orange eyes quickly looked up at him. Again she was getting help, but that's why she was going to work for Sera so it wasn't really help but just a different way of payment. Oh how Ruby dreaded needing or getting help. She rolled her eyes when he walked off. "Belive me. I don't want to anymore while you're there anyways." She said. This was supposed to be a good place for her, but nope this was almost worst then living and working how she did before. She looked at the bandages and pushed them off her and put them into a neat rows. Her OCD kicking in for a moment before she started fixing herself up. Once done she really didn't know what to do with what was left over. She stacked them into her arms then jumped into a tree and silently jumped tree to tree in a blur. She found herself over a shed. Her orange eyes looked around then shrugged. She jumped down from the tree and walked in. And began neatly putting the things away. She bit her tongue lightly as she has to put them in aplaphbetical order then by size. Then made sure all were straight before she would leave.

Elphida and Adrian had reached Sera's mansion, oblivious to the quarrel occurring back in the gardens. With a gentle knock Adrian and Elphida waited to be received by Sera.

Seraphe walked out onto her lawn. There was a sense of tension in the air, and she hoped Raven hadn't been causing any trouble. She called out into the night, knowing everyone would hear her, "Come in and eat, everyone! Dinner is on the table." Then, she turned to see her dear friends Elphida and Adrian. Her face broke into an enormous smile as she said, "What a surprise! You both are just in time. I hope you wouldn't mind joining us for dinner." She looked at her dear friend. Elphida had been her neighbor for centuries. And, despite the fact that she was a Demon and Elphida was an Angel, they got along well. She retreated into her home and traveled through the kitchen and into her dining room. It was fashioned after a classic, almost Medieval room. The walls were literally aged, and the table was an actual antique, and so were the mahogany chairs. On the table was an elaborate setting of a purely Italian meal, pasta with shrimp and basil. The smell almost made her mouth water.

Adrian followed his mistress closely. The only times when he was alert at all times was when she was outside of her estate--since the estate was guarded--but here, in an equally guarded land that was the home of a trusted friend, his barriers went down a bit. That was only until he smelled new acquaintances on the wind. A shape-shifter and a hybrid? Strange company that Seraphe was keeping nowadays. He followed his mistress as Seraphe welcomed them warmly.
