[Lusterkit asked curiously, before sniffing the air hard again.]
"I don't smell anything apart from something like crowfood..."

[Skyepaw thought hardly,] "When we hunt a mouse, we should be down wind from it and stay light on our paws." [Skyepaw looked at Foxfire to see if he would nod or not. I wonder whats happening back at camp. Thought Skyepaw.]

______________________________ "Evil is often much closer...than one would expect." "Very good, downwind and make sure the mouse doesn't feel you. Try it on a mouse, then we'll return to camp."
[Foxfire meowed as he sniffed the air, scenting out a couple of mice. Skyepaw would probably struggle to catch one, singe they were not used to hunting forest prey. After a while, he could hear the sounds of pawsteps scuttling through the forest, away from them. The mice probably scented their approach, and ran away, and there was nothing they could do.]
"You know what, let's head back to camp now, it's getting dark and the mice have run away already."
[Foxfire meowed after a moment's pause, before turning around to head back to Seaclan camp.]

"Seaclan cats swim in salt? They must be pretty weird then."
[Lusterkit meowed confidently, nodding to himself as he was convinced of his "Seaclan cats are weird" theory. He was caught completely off guard when Softpaw asked him who he wanted his mentor to be. Coming to think of it, he never really thought of this...well, having Silverstar as a mentor would be awesome, but of course a leader won't mentor any normal kit. On the other hand, Thornfang looked like he was a pretty able warrior too.]
"I dunno, never really thought of it. Would you like to be my mentor?"
[He asked Softpaw hopefully, thinking that she would make a pretty nice mentor. After all, wasn't she mentoring him now? She seemed quite nice, and capable.] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

[She smiled. The thought of mentoring Lusterkit was exciting! She knew she would be an amazing mentor. Fun, nice, and so many other things.]
If only Sliverstar would make me a warrior..________________

[Skyepaw pounced on the mouse before Foxfire said to go back to camp.] "Aw, but we just started, and I bet there is some more pretty mice like this one, but ok." [Skyepaw sullenly walked back to camp with Foxfire,] "Can we go hunting again tomorrow?" [Skyepaw asked hopefully wishing that Foxfire had some spare time to train her. Please dont let him be as negligent as Mosstar! She prayed to Starclan.]

L U S T E R K I T- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [Lusterkit's eyes widened like dishes when Softpaw came back with a mouse and a vole dangling from her jaws. It was her first time of seeing real hunting, and he was quite amazed at the gracefulness and the smoothness of Softpaw's actions.]
"Whoa! That was really cool, how do you do that?"
[Lusterkit mewed in awe as he watched Softpaw dump the mouse and vole onto the ground as though nothing had happened. If it really was that easy, then he would give it a try! He dropped into his hunting crouch - if it could be called a hunting crouch, that is. His bottom was still too high, and his nose too low. Nevertheless, it was a good attempt for a kit. He sniffed the air hard, scrunching up his nose as he did.]
"I smell a mouse!"
[He meowed excitedly as he started stalking, not aware that him meowing would have scared off the mouse. The mouse took off in fright just as Lusterkit took one step, making him start in surprise.]
"Hey - wait up!"
[He said in surprise as he started to give chase, his kit fur fluffed out in determination and as an adrenaline rush took hold. His small paws pounded through the forest floor as he took off after the mouse, his tail streaming out behind him. Finally, he pounced, catching the mouse by the tip of its tail. The mouse squealed and tried to run off, but Lusterkit scrambled madly to try and pin it down. After a fierce battle that lasted a few seconds, Lusterkit finally pinned down the mouse and delivered a quick bite to the back of its neck.]
"Shofaw, I god id!" (Softpaw, I caught it!)
[He meowed with his teeth in the mouse's neck, puffing out his chest as excitement radiated off his pelt.]
"I god un! I weely god a ouse!" (I caught it! I really caught a mouse!)
[He bounced around Softpaw in pure happiness as he dragged his mouse around, extremely proud of himself for having caught his first prey. The mouse was at least half of his size, and it was quite tiring for him to drag it around.] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

''Well done! Well done Lusterkit! But, you shouldn't of said anything, when you smelled the mouse. I'll tell Sliverstar, lets go back to camp.'' She meowed.
