heh, I'm short and my bassoon is like, 2 inches from being just as tall as me. D: I always unintentionally bonk myself on my head when I start to space out...

I just went through my first year playing French horn (might I say I'm pretty good at it.. lol.) About the third day of playing it, I grabbed my French horn and it pinched my finger so much that blood was pouring down my finger. Unfortunately, it was my left index finger so I couldn't play for a few days. Then, about a week and a half later, I accidentally busted my lip with the mouthpiece. About 4 months later, someone stepped my left foot so hard that I accidentally dropped it and the whole thing fell on my right foot, so both of my feet were hurting the rest of the day.
To this day, I think my French horn hates me.

@sonic really? that sucks.
we keep our flute cases under our chairs, and we always have to bend to get our cases during cleanup. my friend had her flute sticking out and i bent down to get my case and she slammed her flute into my head. i had a huge bump on my head...

Whew, do I have alot to tell.... Well in the past year, my friend had accidentally smacked the bell of his tuba onto my head becuse he was goofing off. During a double reed workshop, my lips had practicaly ripped open from braces from playing oboe so much. Also, before a performance for some little 5th graders (we had to play for them to get them join band xD) a friend and I had to move the piano across campus, and Iwas pulling, so we had trouble pushing it through a door, and my friend had pushed really hard, and it ended up hitting me in the face, and I had a bruise for quite a while....

jahooliah Ughhhhh... When I first switched from flute to bassoon, I had to get used to having that double reed thing stick out all the time. Everytime I spaced out, I scratched my face, bruised my mouth, and broke my reed countless times. I went through 5 reeds in a period of 2 weeks. xd Now I got used to it(finally)... omg i switched from flute to bassoon too!!

Haha that exact same thing has happened to me like a million times.... :^; I hate it when my reed breaks because it usually breaks in my mouth and then I always raise my hand and am like "Yea...my mouth is bleeding so I have to leave now...."
Bassoons are probably the most dangerous instrument.
Oh! I've always gotten my hair caught in it while putting it together...
yay! Bassoons are dangerous! we on da edge!
