It made me a little sad but kind of happy at the same time.
Although they were miserable, they were optimistic, you know? They still had hope. The ending surprised me. Haha. I mean, I knew he went to America, because of the movie, but I didn't know that lady would jump him. xD

What ticked me off was the dad's drinking problem. He didn't have enough willpower to stop "drinking their money." Why couldn't he be like Mikey's dad and quit the drink? If he [Mikey's dad] did it, so could Malachy. :/
And it's not like he didn't love them, because he did. He just didn't have enough willpower, and it blows. emo
You know, if he had quit drinking or at least bring the money to Angela first, her family would've approved of him. 3nodding
