Matthias once again took cover behind his breifcase as the conflicting temperutures reacted explosively. The robot was destroyed, finally. However, it seemed as though things were far from over. Their quarry had escaped, and a large metallic object had just grabbed the collar of his suit and uncerimoniously yanked him out of the building. "OI!"

"Yeah... same here," said Rage, taking a look around and trying to figure out which direction was which. "Funny how that happens... we all got here fine but now we don't know how to get out." An idea popped into his head, but he figured they'd need to get outside first. "You ever taken a ride on a dragon before? I'm thinking we could snag a ride back to a hospital or temple or something."
He sounded kinda vauge. But that may have been due to the fact that he was pretty sure he had just suffered some sort of concussion.

James responded.
"Yes, I have."
He didn't have the heart to tell him that James had been riding on Rage's dragon... it looked like those heavy blows to the head were crossing a few wires.

He had listened to them as they talked but he put them from mind now. He was on his own it seemed. Placing his sword back in its sheath he brought the flamer around and primed it. The promethium tank beneath it still held half a tank. Going towards the opening he stepped through.

Deep down within the depths of Rage's mind, two inteligent thoughts were having a lengthy conversation about how the world could be made a better place if Rage would simply apply himself to making it such. The delicate balance of good and evil, teaching his potential offspring the ways of swordplay that could protect others, and finding world peace through nonviolent means.
These were immediately run over by two other thoughts. One driving drunk, and another sticking it's a** out the window. These two were the ones that made it to the forefront of Rage's mind. The first was "Call Ryu." The second was "Go to the nearest place of healing." Neither of these actually applied to them getting out of the building, but apparently Rage didn't care as he let out a long, five-note whistle that reverberated through the air.

James, having seen enough of Rage to understand what was potentially about to happen... pulled the neck of his coat up over his head and started hobbling towards the southeast door.
Rage had a tendancy to fall through ceilings. He expected no less of Rage's companions...

After a few moments, flames shot in through the hole in the wall, metal melting and allowing a large enough hole for a one-story-tall dragon to drop in. He settled next to Rage after a few moments as Rage called to James, "hey, where you goin'? Don't you need a ride 'er somethin'?"
Ryuji shrugged as best a dragon could. "I think I scared him off..." he muttered in Drakonic.

James readjusted his coat back to his shoulders as the last of the dust and debris from the shaking roof settled.
"It'd be great to not have to drive... but I'd catch hell for losing my ride without at least having the excuse of 'sorry, it blew up'..."
He waved back to Rage as he continued to hobble, nearly at the door now... he'd stopped the bike pretty close outside. At least within 20 feet so that he could see the door from where he had stopped while he was under the curse. Even if there was danger outside, he should be fine with a quick getaway.
James reached into his pocket to grab the bike key, but found, in addition, the gold coin that Matthias had thrown.
"Eh..." he said, admiring the piece in the light before stuffing it back away and making a note of it. He'd need to find out that guy's name...

Seeming to speak clearly for the first time since the robot's destruction, Rage hopped up on Ryu's back with some effort. He waved with his good hand to James. "Stop by the Firebrand sometime. I'll buy you a beer. Hell, I'll buy you a whole damn keg. Take care, man."
He then gave Ryuji a giant hug, forgetting that one of his arms was in complete disuse. "WAFFLES!" he yelled, grinning like an idiot. Ryu bowed his head to James before taking off into the sky.

"Pancakes!" James shouted in responce...
Hearing gunfire, he chose to wait just inside of the doorway until it ceased... then peeked out through one of the broken parts of the wall at what was outside.
