Hisaki shrugged, "No skin off my bones. I'm out of here Satoru-sensei." Hisaki walked through the door, and began down the hallway when he heard his name called from behind. Hisaki swung around, looking past his teammate at another chuunin waving to him. The chuunin looked like he was out of breath, and when he approached them, he doubled over, holding his top half up by resting on his knees.

"I finally caught up to you two!" He said, his voice unsteady from day-long movement, "I've been hunting you guys down all day! We... We found you a third partner for your squad! Now that we've got you, we can call her here to meet you two. Oh... and we have a mission for you three as well. If..." He stopped midsentence to wheeze and breathe, then continued, "you will be so kind to go up to office three-twelve. Right down the hall there... You can wait for your client and third team member there."

Hisaki waited until the chuunin finished before saying, "Don't you think it's getting late for a mission? It's almost past sundown, sir."

The chuunin stood up and replied, "Work never ends, kiddo. If we need you to do a mission, you do the mission. Got it? Now get over to the room, alright? Your team mate will be there soon."

Hisaki nodded, and saluted goofily as the chuunin walked off. Hisaki looked over his shoulder to Yuki, and, as soon as the chuunin was out of earshot, half-whispered, "He seriously needs more endurance training, huh?"

Yuki followed his partner down the hall, until their departure was interrupted by the sound of their names being called. The Yamanaka had a sour look on his face, it had been a long day, and he would love to be curling up to a nice book right now before passing out.

"Hunting for us all day? I'm sorry, we were trying to keep the streets safe from the local thugs. My sincerest apologies for anyone who was trying to summon us." Yuki drawled on in his native language of sarcasm. He was about to add a small quip about how, as far as rules and regulations go, they shouldn't even be accepting another mission this late, however, that would mean they just finished their first mission illegally, since they were not a full team. Yuki left that argument ferment in his own mind, until Hisaki expressed his concerns with a rather generic reply from the Chuunin.

"Endurance training is the least of his worries. C'mon, let's finish this one before I pass out into a comatose via exhaustion." He said to his fellow teammate before turning around and heading for office three hundred and twelve.

Aya had spent the past few days resting at home, after the big mission that was meant to be a recon mission, turned into her fight some strange cult and the giant worm that had made, from the dead bodies of a near-by village. When she return with Phaeton and submitted the report, she was order to take a few days off before coming back in to meet her new teammates, Aya was walking to the mission office, she was still a bit sleepy after just waking up.

Aya made her way into the office, the hood of her jacket was up covering her face, the fur lined rim and animal ear like flaps on the hood, draw some attention but not too much, once she got into the office she was informed that the team she was assigned too had just been given a new mission, and was waiting in room 312, she headed off to the room.

Once Aya got to the she entered it and waited, still in the middle of waking up slowly, as she waited for her new teammates, she pulled her hood back and then draw her long black hair out of her jacket, only to hear door open an see two boys there, she smiled to them as turned and then waved to them. "Hi there, I'm Aya Hyuuga".

Hisaki's chuckled, "Dude, you're a bigger slack-off than me sometimes, you know that?" He paused, stopping in the hallway for a moment, and said, "'Cept that you say it all fancy. Comatose from exhaustion? I'd just say that I'm ready to fall asleep or something... Well..." Hisaki paused again as we caught up to Yuki up the hall, "Anyways, I wonder who this teammate is gonna be... He did say it was a 'her'. So it's a kunoichi. Maybe it'll be a really hot chick!" Hisaki said with a laugh.

Hisaki approached room three hundred and twelve. As he double checked the numbers, he said, "Well, here we are. Lets see who we're picking up." Hisaki grabbed the doorknob and pushed the door inwards. From across the room, he saw a girl with long black hair, a fur lined coat, and White eyes just like his own. She sat in a chair across the room, and she introduced herself with a smile, "Hi there, I'm Aya Hyuuga".

Hisaki's face brightened up, "Hey Cousin Aya!" Hisaki noticed that she seemed just a bit out of it, so he added, "I'm Hisaki Hyuuga, remember? We met a family thing once."

(Quick background info: Hisaki doesn't live at the Hyuuga Estate with the rest of the family. His father, in his many quests, learned to remove his Side Branch curse seal, and was excommunicated from the family. Hisaki still gains some of the benefits of the Main House (seeing as he didn't do anything against the family), but isn't really classified as part of either house. On top of that, he isn't allowed to live on the Hyuuga Clan Grounds.)

Yuki gave Hisaki a quick glare after he talked about the Kunoichi being attractive. "I swear, if you let your emotions get in the way of any of our missions, I will personally end your life. Silly teenage romance must stay out of our Shinobi life." He grunted, obviously sour about the whole situation.

The Yamanaka noticed the long black hair and the white eyes and his sour face now turned into a snarl, he had kept quiet until Hisaki burst out with "Hey Cousin Aya!" Yuki turned towards Hisaki with blind rage and shouted, "Another Hyuuga?! Why must I be cursed with your kind everywhere we go?! I mean, isn't one Hisaki enough?" He stopped shouting and began to sulk at the doorway. I really shouldn't judge her. After all, you can't be blamed for your own family, you're stuck with them....

The Bishop stood tall and put on a grin, he had to let things go if they were to work together, "I apologize profusely for the display of my irritable behavior. My name is Yuki, of the Yamanaka Clan, and I hope that as an official team that we will be able to solve any differences between the three of us and work with the most efficient teamwork possible." He bowed slightly. "And again, I apologize for that unprovoked outburst."

Suddenly there was a loud pounding at the door. Hisaki looked over at the open threshold and saw the goofy Chuunin hanging around at the door with an older man. The chuunin was the one who knocked, it was obvious by his position, and the older man had a box in his arms. The chuunin entered the room, beckoning the man in, and said, "Ok, now that you've done whatever you needed to do, I'm assigning you to the mission. This is a D-Rank, in case you were wondering. And..." He said, pulling a scroll from his vest, "is the paperwork. Drop it off with Satoru after completion, got it?" The chuunin turned around and exited the room. The door slammed on his way out, isolating the older man with the three genin.

The room was dead silent until the man cleared his throat. He approached a nearby desk and put the box on top of it. He opened the box and withdrew a small cube. The small dusty box had pictorial carvings of different Kanji upon each side, one named for each element of Chakra. The sixth side was empty, devoid of any markings what so ever.

The man began to explain, "Hello, my name is Kagetsu Gokaroh, Family-name first. I'm a collector of rare artifacts, and I run an archeological firm here in Fire Country. Well, on a dig about a half a year ago, we found this. It's a puzzle box of some sort, that much I know. Now look, it has kanji on it, one for fire, one for water, one for lightning, one for earth, and one for air. Then there's a blank side. Now, here's the puzzling part: Theres no hinges, and it seems like it should move. Pieces of it wiggle and shift slightly just by touching them. I've been messing with that damned contraption, but I'm dumbfounded. I just can't figure it out for the life of me how to open it! So, now I've caved in. I need help solving this thing, bad."

"Here's a deal. I'll give you each a nice big reward if you can open it. It might take a while, I've worked on it for days at a time, and got nowhere. It's getting late though, If you don't solve it soon, we'll just call it a day, and I'll hire another team to do it?" He placed the box on the table, "Any movement you can get out of this thing would be much appreciated. I'll be back in a little while. If it changes a whole lot by then, expect a nice paycheck." The man then left the room. Now the challenge began!

Hisaki stepped up to the table, and picked up the small trinket Hisaki pressed down on some of the pads, but nothing immediately happened except for a small wiggle from the tiles. Hisaki rolled the cube around in his hands a little, looking at each side. The old man was right, this box definitely can move... Somehow. Hisaki looked at his two teammates. I don't really know how intelligent Aya is. I'd assume she's smart, but for the timeframe, I'll pass it off to Yuki. I know he's smart. From experience and stuff. Hisaki looked over at Yuki, and said, "So, Yuki. You're a smarty, right? You take a look at this thing." Hisaki smoothly tossed the puzzlebox over to the blonde genin, "Use that Yamanaka intellect and show us what's up."

Yuki's anger subsided as the chuunin and older male entered the room. No one had said anything for a while, much to his surprise, he figured Hisaki would have another uncontrollable outburst about something that would make Yuki's temper roar awake again. However, the older man spoke first and introduced himself and their next assignment, the box.

Yuki's eyes widened as he noticed the Kanji of each element of chakra on five of its sides, and the sixth was completely blank. The explanation of the artifact didn't help the Yamanaka any more than just staring at it and with the new provocation of a reward further sparked Yuki's curiosity. Hisaki had waltzed up to the table and examined the cube before Yuki even thought of how to start at it.

He sighed and made a handseal, Mind Release! Now that he had the proper amount of chakra, he could spend a little bit for a small while as they each pondered the meaning of the box.

Yuki caught the puzzling artifact and turned it over and over again. "Well, each Kanji on the box represents an element. To be honest, my first instinct was to somehow make the Kanji be on opposite sides of the box as their weakness...somehow. Obviously we cannot just move the sides of the cube around, as they only jiggle here and there." He paused as he scanned the cube some more, until he raised an eyebrow, "Hisaki, Aya, do you remember back in the academy when they taught us about elemental chakra? How each shinobi has a natural affinity with one type, and the more powerful a ninja is, the more they control? What if we sent a small bit of chakra to the Kanji with our natural element? It's just a hypothesis I have formed, but it might work."

He now looked towards Aya and handed her the cube, "Here, you can give it a try, unless you have a better idea." Yuki didn't want to sound like a complete and utter d**k, but he wanted to test her capabilities also. If she were to try and test his theory, Yuki would see what her natural element is, if not, she'll think of something new that'll trump his idea. He doubt she would be dumb as a rock, the chuunin knew how smart Yuki was, and how his anger would be the end of him if he had someone too whimsical and simple to follow his lead.

"Hello Hisaki, yeah i remember you, we got told to go play with the other kids, that was years ago, i remember it because it was the first family gathering i went to". Aya added to what Hisaki had said, she didn't really talk much back then ether, she was then caught off guard as the other person with Hisaki got angry for some reason, before introducing himself. "Oh the last Yamanaka I worked with was really good, Phaeton was his name, and OK I'll forgive you". Aya had looked a little scared by the outburst and still looked a little unsettled now, she was also now fully away.

Aya just stood there as loud knocking come into the room, follow by one Chunin and a old man entered the room, after standing there for a little bit as the Chunin told them a little on the mission, there was a strange silent as the genin looked at the older gentleman that they were working for this time, he soon spoke up, informing them his name was Gokaroh Kagetsu, and that they were meant to open some type of puzzle box he was having trouble with.

Aya listened to her teammate as they talked on how to open the box, when Hisaki handed the box over to Yuki, Aya got the feeling that it seemed that Yuki was better suited to puzzle then Hisaki. The helped Aya understand how the two of them acted as a group, these two have been a team for a while, and Aya was joining they team as an outside. She listened to what Yuki was saying about how he would solve it, before handing it to her, to try and solve. "Ok then, I'll try and open it". Aya looked at it, before turning on her Byakugan, she played around with the bit the seemed to be able to move, and then signed a little, she then held her index and middle finger out, in same manner in which someone would pinpoint strike using 'Gentle Fist', She then struck the blank side of the cube, sending a small amount of chakra into the side.

Once it was hit with her strike, the side she had struck glowed a little and then opened a little so that it would be opened normally, at which point Aya placed it back on the desk. "I think it can be opened now, after looking at it, it seemed like a really well made box and really strong, I think those bit that do move weren't made to, but more to confuse you while trying to open it, and it had all the element types aside from neutral chakra, so striking it with neutral seemed like a good idea". She said poking the box a little with her finger, making the blank side open a little more, which seemed to the the top now. "I think each side can be opened but you need to hit it with chakra of the same nature as the side, and the blank side mean no element".

Hisaki's jaw dropped, She got it... First try... Yuki didn't even get it right away, and he's the smartest genin I've met. Hisaki hid his surprise again and put a goofy grin on. He crossed his arms behind his head and looked at Yuki as he spoke, "Heheh, looks like you've got competition in the brain games now, huh? She figured out the puzzle in... what... a minute or something?"

Hisaki expected an emminent explosion from Yuki, so he tried to change the subject, "Well, while you guys chat about your smart-guy stuff, I'll just prepare the forms, alright?" Hisaki walked away and picked up the Mission Scroll from the table. Now getting a better look at the thing, he saw that it was fairly thin as far as mission scrolls go (considering it was a straightforward mission) and the sides were covered with D's (for D-Rank). He pulled open the seal on it and unraveled the scroll.

On the top was the mission description, and on the bottom was a place were the ninja who did the mission would be listed, as well as an area for the date and outcome of the mission. Hisaki pulled a pen from his pocket. The moment the pen touched paper, he completely zoned out from anything the other two were saying. Full concentration went into writing the names of the three ninja. After that, he quickly scrawled the date and outcome, Aya Hyuuga opened the aforementioned box. Mission Complete. He rolled up the form, and resealed the scroll, "One Mission down. A zillion more to go."

Yuki sighed a little when Aya mentioned working with another Yamanaka, his studies usually left him alone in his room, away from most of his family. Even Yuki's dad protested going to family gatherings, he wasn't even sure if people even knew he existed. If his irritability had calmed down, it was no flaring up again.

He handed the box and watched as she twist and turned it, examining it like Yuki and Hisaki, until she had struck the blank side with her finger. It jiggled here and there until there was a small 'click'. It unhinged itself while she placed it back on the desk. She began her explanation of how the little bits weren't meant to move and were used as a distraction, and how using neutral chakra on the blank side would, of course, open it.

Yuki nodded, agreeing about how that was a logical explanation. He was a little ruffled about being outdone by a stranger, but it only stung a little. What really packed the punch was Hisaki's little taunt that really upset the blond. Along with the fact that he knew very little about the Kunoichi besides the fact that she was a Hyuuga and can use the Byakugan. Now the only way he could observer her talents was by conversation, and socializing wasn't Yuki's strong point.

"So Aya, You're a Hyuuga? Are you in the main or branch family?" He asked in a nonchalant fashion, hoping to at least indulge in a little bit of small talk before judging her because of her surname.

Aya looked to Yuki as he spoke to her again, he seemed to be trying to know her, Hisaki had taken it on himself to do the paper work, which Aya was happy about, she did really like doing paper work, it always seems to drag on forever. Aya was listening to Yuki and looked to him as he spoke, she thought on his question for a bit before answering, it was rather hard now that she was thinking about it. "Well it's nether really, but I live in the main branch, I don't know my parents, so they don't know if I am from the Main house or a Branch".

Hisaki stared down at the scroll as the two began to talk, Big change from that hothead's attempt at a first impression. I think I'll give them a chance to meet each other. Or at the very least, he could repair that outburst he did. I can remember it well: We entered the room, right after talking about how he was looking for romance or something. I had told him that if his feelings come before any mission, I'd personally kill him for it. So then we opened the door, and there was Aya, my cousin and new team member. Then BAM, Yuki exploded. He was all like, 'HYUUGA EVERYWHERE! I CAN'T STAND BEING AROUND SO MUCH AWESOME!' Totally uncool. I felt like such a dork having to apologize for his outburst. That memory... is one I'm going to hold on to for a long, long time. After his immensely distorted flashback, Hisaki turned to the chatting genin, "Hey guys, I'm gonna go deliver this message, alright? I'll be back in a little bit." Hisaki grabbed the scroll gave them both a wink. He walked to the door, and began to walk down the hallway towards Satoru-Sensei's office.

As he wandered down the hallway, Gokaroh appeared at a staircase nearby. Hisaki stopped and said, "Mr. Kagetsu! Hey!" The man suddenly appeared startled, as if he hadn't expected anyone to talk to him, and replied with a wave, "Hello there. Did you ninja figure out my puzzle box?"

Hisaki nodded, "Yeah, remember the girl? Aya? She got it in a minute or so. I was just leaving the room to deliver this scroll. They need it for one reason or another over in the mission offices." The man nodded, "Good, good. I'll make sure to leave you your cut from the mission if you don't return before I leave." The man then continued to walk down the hallway towards the room Three Hundred and Twelve.

Hisaki did a spin, then continued on his way. Satoru's office wasn't far, and when he reached it, he gave a light knock. A voice came from inside, "Come in." Hisaki followed the orders and entered the open mission office. Hisaki saw that Satoru was busy with paperwork, so he said, "Hey, I have the Mission Scroll for the Kagetsu Gokaroh Mission. It's all filled out, so... I'll just leave it in one of these piles. You'd probably want it in the D-Rank Completed (For Review) bin, right?" An uninterested 'mhm' confirmed it, so Hisaki dropped the scroll on top, then went on his way.

After leaving the office, Hisaki let out a sigh of relief, "Awesome, not a single insult or injury from Satoru. Today must be my lucky day!" Hisaki looked left, then right down the hallway, then began to follow his path back to room Three-Twelve.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 17, 2010 10:58 am

Yuki barely registered what Hisaki said, he was exhausted both mentally and physically from today. He had hoped that Hisaki made it a quick trip, but knowing the goofy genin, he'd take as much time as possible.

The Yamanaka began tapping his foot anxiously, "In the future, what kind of ninja do you wish to be?" He asked. Yuki knows its a bit unorthodox to ask something like that, but he was truly curious, and even more curious on how powerful she was. An idea had just hit him, they could spar! All three of them, either a three-way fight or a two versus one if she was too powerful for her two genin comrades. A simple grin revealed itself on Yuki's face, for he knew she would be much more trouble than Team Kaju could ever hope to be.

Aya looked at Hisaki as he left and was a little nervous being left alone in a room alone with Yuki, this was mainly because she didn't really know much about him, she looked at him waiting for him to reply, once he didn't say anything and just moved on she felt a little better. "Well I haven't really thought about it, I did do what most Hyuuga clan members do and did tracking training, so I guess I'll become a tracking-nin in the future, what do you want to be in the future?". Aya noted that Yuki seemed to be a bit upset at the moment, she made this judgment by the fact he was tapping his foot a little tense in his over all body language, and the stage look he got while she was giving her reply.
