Kye was in the water, floating on his back watching the night sky. It was peaceful here, and the stars twinkled at him as if they knew something he didn't.

It took her nearly a half hour before she sat up with another yawn and finally looked clear eyed. "I slept outside?" she murmured. As these were the first coherent words she had said at all...
