Yeah, that's pretty much just you westerners. A lot of that is bovious, but most of that is Seattle/Tacoma culture. sweatdrop

What?? Tacoma has culture?! Since when??

Seattle/Tacoma is also known as SeaTac... And it's true, SeaTac does have a culture. (:

2.Eating seafood isn't anything special.

7.You wouldn't dream of putting an air conditioner in your house.

11.You take a heavy coat and a hat with you for a day at the beach.
I have to disagree with numbers 2, 7 and 11. We have the worst heat in summer. And eating seafood is pretty spectacular, especially with how expensive just buying it is.

And in response to an earlier post, I'd say
" You know you're a Seattlite when you don't wait for the walk sign to turn and step out on the yellow.

I disagree with your disagreement... Seafood is not very spectacular to eat, because the access to seafood is so easy. Think about it, there is seafood in all the stores here, we have lots of seafood places, be it sit down or fast food... Seafood is not amazing at all to a person from the Seattle area, or Western Washington in general. Plus seafood isn't much more expensive than meat like beef. Again especially not in this area.

I do disagree with seven to a degree though... only because air conditioners are so expensive to install and we will use them for what, a week of the summer? (:

But the beach one is true, I always have to bring a coat with me to the beach cause its not warm enough for long enough.

You know more than 10 ways to order coffee.

Oh yeah, That one is totally true... I actually go between like ten different drinks, depending on what coffee stand it is and how I'm feeling that day.

Quote:

You feel overdressed wearing a suit to a nice restaurant.

Haha I don't think I've dressed up since I was like five or six, and that was for a funeral. Dressing up is wearing your best jeans and a t-shirt with no stains right?! (:

Quote:
You can taste the difference between Starbuck's, Seattle's Best, and Tully's.

It's totally true, they all taste different. I guess that's an art? I love all three of those though, for different reasons.

Quote:

In winter, you go to work in the dark and come home in the dark -- while only working eight-hour days.

Dude, same thing for school... You go to school in the dark, and by the time you're almost home, it's getting dark again. But it really is true, it's only light out for what, six hours in the winter? It's lame.

Quote:

You think people who use umbrellas are either wimps or tourists.

It's so true... Whenever I'm with people and we see someone with an umbrella we make bets on if they are tourists or wimps, then go ask. I always bet tourist. (:

Quote:

You know the exact location of fifteen drive-thru espresso stands in your neighborhood.

Eh, I know all the ones in my old hometown (Snohomish), and i'm learning all the ones in the area around my house. (: So far I know about fifteen... haha.
Quote:

You understand what people mean when they say 'pop'.

Hahaha I cannot stand when people call it soda. It's pop.

Quote:
You know how to pronounce: Sequim, Puyallup, Rainier, Enumclaw, and Issaquah.

It's true, I love listening to people from out of the area try to say those ones. My favorite is when MACHIAS is in the news for any reason. Really, I grew up in the community of Machias, and it's easy to say... But the news casters butcher it every time, it's insane.

Quote:

You have roots in Oregon, Idaho or Montana, but wanted a high paying job.

Yep, my mom's side of the family is from Idaho and Montana, and Dad's side is from Arkansas and the Netherlands.. All came to Washington cause the economy was growing here. Look at it now though, not so awesome huh?.
Quote:

You use more than 5 words to order a cup of coffee. "I want to order an unleaded, double, short, skinny, wet cappuccino with a shot of Amaretto please."

Uhmm... Yeah, I guess that's true. My favorite ones are "twenty ounce double shot vanilla latte with two sweeteners", "venti chai tea latte", "grande chai tea frapachino" and "vente vanilla bean frappachino" (: Those are my four favs, there's always random ones i get cravings for though.

I've always wanted someone to orgasm loudly right as I'm about to order a cup of coffee, then just say "I'll have what she's having."

I say she because guys just kinda squirm when they orgasm, women can really go all out.

I sent slug eggs to my nephews in Wyoming as a joke. They took them to school and they became the class pets. They had never seen slugs. rofl rofl

@ Poison_Hawk and LempickaLolita

The mildew thing was a joke. you know, cause it's so wet around here.

Personally, I beleive the state flower is the Traffic cone. Way too much road construction around here.
