 Dead eyes scanned across the open yard before falling on the sight of a petite girl with sunshine hair. They brightened with false life as the boy smiled politely. He was currently sitting on the low stone gate anchor that was at the entrance, like a living gargoyle. "Well no, actually. I know, you'd think it would be. What with the cemetery and the bell and all," he answered lightly. He scratched his head and laughed a little after he dropped from his gate perch. Grabbing his shovel, which had been propped against the sign not two feet away, he turned to look at the girl again. "The church is actually up the road a ways," he said pointing to his right. "I'm heading that way myself. Would you like me to show you where it is?" he asked.

 ❁Skye Arabelle Rhoswen❁ "O-okay, if it's not too much trouble for you." Skye replied politely, smiling to try and hide her rising discomfort. It didn't work, as she shivered at the eeriness of his stance as it reminded her of a living statue. She also couldn't help but wonder what the shovel he carried was for, so she decided to speak her mind again to ease the silence between them. "What's the shovel for?" she inquired, her childlike curiosity peaking then. He doesn't seem like a bad person…she thought to herself, trying to calm her nerves. She couldn't have been more wrong in her life.

"Yea, no problem. I've got another job to finish up that way anyway," he replied with a smile. He let the perverse satisfaction of seeing her shift in discomfort blend into the smile. It made it look more sincere, at least to anyone who cared to look. Beckoning her to walk with him, the boy began the inclined trek. Swinging the shovel around so that it rested on his shoulder, he pointed with his thumb back at the cemetery. "What kind of grave digger would I be if I didn't have a shovel?" he asked with a teasing grin.

❁Skye Arabelle Rhoswen❁ Okay… maybe going with him was a mistake; he gave her more creeps than the cemetery did. Either way, she was stuck with him for now, so she followed the eerie boy. "You're a… grave digger?" she asked him, giving him a nervous smile. Scratch what she thought about him a minute ago; He was WAY creepy. She shivered again, swallowing past the lump that had grown in her throat. "So… why a grave digger? And do you know why the people in this town are so… quiet?" Hopefully, she could at least get some helpful information for her mission out of this. Otherwise she was going to kick herself for this later.

Hey since you two are doin things with your characters can I meet lust or gluttany or someone?...I'M BORED DAMMIT!!!))  Ace had bought some items in the market when Skye had left and went to find some place to sleep for the group before realizing he had to check something out in the cemetary. Ace had walked to the cemetary looking at a newly filled in grave and starts to examine it "...I wonder if this was a person of interest. Whatever. Now where is that girls grave?" Ace asks walking around looking for a certain grave

(sorry Ace, if I were in charge, I'd totally getcha somethin, but as is. I'm the only central baddy, which is weird cause that was kinda spur of the moment. lol) "Well, why not a grave digger?" he asked logically, that playful grin still lighting his otherwise neutral expression. "I mean, it makes decent money and it's not as if the market will every dry up." His wry humor dried in his throat when the girl mentioned the quietness of the town. Taking a silent moment to appear thoughtful, he looked at the road ahead of them. "Course I know," he sighed, eyes lowering in feint nervousness. "Everyone is afraid that the killer will strike again. That he'll continue to take our daughters and sisters from us." Making sure to keep his eyes completely averted and slightly obscured by his hair, he lowered his voice barely more than a whisper. "Whispers of late say that maybe there's a connection, besides the victims being girls."

Ace not finding the grave he was looking for returns to town and finds the inn walking into it "Hello sir was there a new girl that has happened to buy a room here? I am a friend of hers." Ace says with a smile and a tip of his military hat

❁Skye Arabelle Rhoswen❁ Skye was usually good at reading a person's emotions, but this kid was throwing her off majorly. She couldn't tell if that smile of his was genuine, or if he was just messing with her. This was put even more to the test when he went on to answer her other question. Skye finally decided that this boy wasn't feigning innocence at her last subject. How could he? He couldn't possibly be this killer that he and the report spoke of… she thought. Though his voice had gone low, she still caught the last bit of information he had uttered. "A connection?" she asked him, her genuine curiosity surfacing. It seemed like trying to find the church wasn't an entire waste of time. Whether or not she'd be kicking her own a** later, however, depended on his response.

'Bingo,' he thought in triumph as he walked. It had taken him a while, but he managed to pin her for military. He had to admit, she was better than the last one. All innocent and childish, he had mistook her for real. But the constant questions, so straight forward. It was like she was taking the obvious route, to see if it threw him off. Ask the right questions and your enemy will be so flustered that they'll tell the truth. But he was the master of deception. "You know, a common denominator, a link. Something they all shared that made them stand out in the killers eye," he said in that fake laid back voice. His smile returned like he was pleased she was interested in what gossip he had to share. What he really was pleased about was farther than pleasant.

 "I'm right here Ace," Ren muttered as she sat on the couch in the lobby. She was staring at the ground her mind still trying to understand everything that had happened. "I have a huge update on a certain subject." She said this lowly so only they could hear it over the mourners coming, and going. She wanted to go over the information with Ace before getting the town in an up whirl or something. If she said I know who the killer is, then the town would come up in a furry going after revenge for their loved ones.
'We can't have that not now. My plan is so close, yet so far I messed up, but I can fix this.' Ren thought with a sigh. This were under control like they should be.

❁Skye Arabelle Rhoswen❁ Wonder what that could've been. Skye thought to herself, feeling a little more comfortable since his smile seemed to be more relaxed. The eeriness she had felt from the boy was almost all gone, but she was finding it very difficult to read his emotions. He was the most complicated person she knew of yet (aside from Ren), but it's not like she was really interested in trying to get to know him. She was only trying to find out what she needed for her mission. "By the way… how much further is the church? Hills were never my thing…" Skye asked, trying to not let her comment sound like a whine.

Eyes reflecting the yellow hues around them, he looked at the girl. It was almost as if he had to think of how to respond before actually doing it. But after that slight falter, his eyes brightened and he laughed a light cheery note. "I knew it. you're from the city aren't you?" he asked as his laughter faded. "That totally sounds like something a city dweller would say." With a sympathetic nod, he lifted his hand ahead of them in a waving gesture. "Just around that bend is a fork in the road. The one that levels off to the left is the road to the church. It's not uphill or anything so you should be able to handle it."

Ren rolls her eyes, and stands up/ She then tosses to sets of keys at him. "Here are yours and that girl's set of keys to your rooms." She muttered leading the way to her room. She unlocked the door and went inside.
Plopping on her bed as didn't bother to sit up. "Okay well first of all he's not human, second he knows my face, third he himself has no reason to kill the girls I think. Though it might not just be people in this town they are killing. It maybe a larger scale operation or something."
Ren then looked around, "Wait what happened to whats-her-face that was with you." She raised an eyebrow, was she running a stupid task for Ace. If so she'd scold him for wasting time.

Ace starts to think for a minute then clasps his hands together "Thats right she went to the cemetary just a bit before me I believe. Anyways who is not human and what are you talking about?" Ace asks as he starts to play with a battery in his hand.
