Arik Diedrich ”The Tyrant”
Action?

The walk out to the Icharus was a pleasant one for Arik, he almost skipped out to the dock to meet Exa standing outside the lifts.
"Well hello there sweetie pie~. Have I got some excellent news for you, come up to my office, its rather spiffing by the way!" He said as the lift went up into the the Icharus. the corridors were well lit and over all pretty clean other than the odd valve or intercom hanging from the ceiling. Turning another corner was the bridge and a room off to the back was the captains private office/quarters. Arik swanned in and lay down on the floor with a pillow he pulled from the bed.
"I got some news of a Rebel base operating outside of a little village on the east coast. Aaaand, I'm gonna go blow seven shades of s**t out of them personally, you feel like participating?" He sang out from the ground.

Exa Winds ~ Did he just say fun?

Arik was happy and in a skipping mood. That would normally be not befitting for a tyrant, except this was Arik. Exa, however, was not in that sort of mood. If anyone else called her "sweetie pie" or "darling," she would have beaten them up without hesitation. That mood brightened when Arik mentioned violence.

Exa followed Arik into his office and waited by the door, watching Arik lay on the floor. For a moment, she hesitated in responding. Then, she grinned. "Sure. Would you like some tea with that?" The pause was because Arik had said the four lettered "s" word. Seven shades of poop sounded disgusting. Exa didn't mind blood and gore, but feces was a different matter.

((I don't use curse words in my posts. sweatdrop ))

Any offers?

Finally coming to a halt some ways into the gorge, Alexia let go of his arm enough to let him stop sliding on the gravel bed that used to be a stream. There was still a small run-off that led down to the depths of the gorge, but it was enough if needed. With a series of clinks, Fi set down a large bag of glass bottles for the group to presumable take shots at. "I'll take first shot if someone lends me a gun. It's not exactly something that I would need to carry." Moving ovr to where Fi had dropped the bag of bottles, Ian pulled a few out and placed them along the small outcrop in a row.

((Blegh. stare Running low on imagination right now. This'll have to do for now though.))

Alexia ShadowWolf

Alex heard Ian ask for a gun and she took out her two berettas. She then tossed Ian one of her guns.
"Don't shoot your eye out." Alex chuckled, dropping the facade, since it was really no longer needed and it didn't help that she still had that weird feeling in her gut. It was making her rather nervous and if it was just her and Kyne, she definately would go get her blades.

Shots would echo nicely in the canyon, even though they weren't completely in. If, somehow, the rebels hadn't noticed that they were in canyon already through the sensors and security, they would now by noise.

Kyne smirked at Fiona's comment about free lance work before getting dragged off into the canyon. He could work with that. Dr. Miller, he had an idea, but he needed more thinking time on it.

The resistance leader noticed Alex drop the act and made no comment. He was keeping his ears peeled and eyes alert. "So, the good old doctor goes first, eh?" Kyne chuckled. "Are we betting on anything?"

Lets raise the stakes.

Catching the gun uncomfortably, Ian hesitated before pointing the barrel roughly in the direction of the bottles. Catching on to the fact that Alexia had been putting up the drunken facade, Ian wondered what kind of people that he had met, and where the chance meeting was going. At the mention of a bet, Ian's eyes lit up. "A bet? I'm just hoping that I hit the damn things. But if we're putting something on the line, it makes things much more interesting. Fifty credits that I can hit at least two of them in five shots. With the bet in place, Ian pulled the gun up into a crude firing position that would make army generals weep, aimed at the bottles and squeezed the trigger. Only for nothing to happen. No gunshot, noise or smashed bottles. Turning on to its side, it wasn obvious what was wrong. The saftey was still on, but it wasn't obvious how to turn it off. "Uh, little help with this.

Alexia ShadowWolf
Seriously?

Alexia chuckled softly as Ian pulled the trigger and the beretta didn't go off. She walked over to where Ian was standing and flipped off the safety with hardly any effort.
"There ya go." She said as she smiled brightly before going back over to Kyne.
"Something doesn't feel right..." She said quietly enough that Fi and Ian wouldn't be able to hear.

((How much is 50 credits?

And I'm making up a base number here.))

"Why not?" The rebel leader grinned as he watched the doctor. It did indeed look as if the doctor had no experience with guns...

When Alexia returned, Kyne nodded as he started to send a message to the base beyond the canyon. He agreed with her, but he couldn't quite place what it was. Was it the doctor and Fiona or was it something else entirely? He had the feeling that it was the latter. He made eye contact with Alexa, directing his eyes over to the entrance of the canyon, hinting that perhaps a quick look might resolve the uncertainty.

~Kyne to Base 32. Report on any suspicious activity in the area. We're getting some strange vibes at the entrance of the canyon.~

((Sorry. I just took an exam, and... it wasn't pretty. Alas, anyone jump in and be the base response.

Edit: And I'm assuming the Articx "texting" communication system, which Kyne won't use if it's really an emergency since talking is faster.))

Alexia ShadowWolf
Time for a "restroom" break...

Alexia nodded, getting the hint.
"I'll be right back. Gotta take a restroom beak." She said, loud enough for everyone to hear, before heading off to the base entrance. As soon as she was out of sight, Alex did a quick check around the base, seeing nothing out of place. she then went inside and grabbed her swords and some other guns and ammo, just in case they should need them. Alex came back out and placed the weapons in an accessible, yet concealed, spot. She then walked back to the others. Alex looked Kyne in the eye, hinting that it was all clear.

Rebel NPC - Lex Moore
Rebel NPC - The Guard Dog

"Aye, sir. We'll keep an eyeout" Lex replied before spotting a blip on the screen, he switched to the camera to find that it was Alexia.
"Must be getting some supplies." He thought. "She looks like she's in a hurry, I won't bug her."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 06, 2010 7:23 pm

From Lex's reply, the rebel commander garnered that nothing unusual had been detected yet. Kyne nodded when Alex returned. She hadn't seen anything either. Yet similar to Alex, Kyne couldn't shake the feeling. He eyed the doctor and looked briefly at Fiona to see how her reaction was.

Damn. Something is wrong. Is there something coming that we can't detect yet? Kyne thought as he observed the canyon and crossed his arms, waiting for the doctor to shoot.

It was no question that he and Alex would both be on the alert.

Fiona Lineweaver ”FI”

Watching the doctor try to shoot was a little too much for her, his stance was wrong, his aim was all over the place and he still had the safety on.
"Oh man, your first time with a gun I take it? Don't worry, it takes practice." She said to Ian trying not to laugh. When she seen that Kyne and Alex were acting jumpy. Was something up? She couldn't really tell.
"Hey, you two ok? You seem a little jumpy... Missing the drinks that much? HAHA!" FI was alot more relaxed than the the others considering she wasn't always on the lookout for W.K.
"I'll take your bet Doc' 50 creds is reasonable. "

((I think 50 creds would be around 50 dollars? or something, it makes it easy lol))

Markus ”Generic grunt #1”
"Roger that Commander." He said and hung up the phone. "A suspicious APC has been spotted in Namvin heading towards the edge of town, It is our mission to investigate and take out any threats, we'll be traveling light apart from Dave. Right lets move out boys" Markus said to the rest of the squad. It was a squad of 5 regulars and 1 heavy backup, also known as Dave.

Dave ”Heavy grunt”
Dave nodded in agreement with the mission and donned his combat suit, unlike the rest who were wearing standard military armour (bullet proof vests and helmets and the likes). Usually all the members of the group wore one, but this was an investigation mission so combat was not expected.
"Hey, I've heard that there's a rebel outpost in Namvin. What if it's not a rumor?"

Grant ”Generic grunt #2”
"HAHA! Don't be stupid, why would we even have to worry abbout that unorganised rabbel." He said confidently and loaded his assault rifle.

The other 3 Regulars gathered their rifles and helmets and loaded themselves into the APC and waited for the others.
"Right you lot! Lets ger a move on!" Ordered Markus, once everyone was seated the APC blitzed out of the base and made for the town of Namvin...

Arik Diedrich ”The Tyrant”
Spiffing, we are almost there.

"Hmm... Yes I feel tea would be appropriate in this situation, you know the drill. No milk, no sugar~." Arik said as he got up from the ground. The Icharus was well on its way to their destination so the tea would probably be untouched by the time they get there, but it was nice anyway.
"Captain, we will be approaching our destination in 5 minutes. As of now we shall be passing over Namvin where the investigation into an unrecognised APC is taking place, we are assuming it is connected to the outpost we are tracing in the next town up." Said one of the crew over the intercoms.
"Thank you private." Ariks' mood had shifted, gone was the cheerful demeanor from before, he looked alot more serious, focused and ready for his battle with the rebels, no... His annihilation of the rebels

Fiona's comment coincided with the appearrance of a large shadow that loomed over the canyon as the Icharus flew by. Kyne knew what the ship was, and its appearance could not be good news. The rebel base in the canyon would no doubt also notice the ship.

"Huh. What is a beast like that doing around here?" Kyne raised an eyebrow. He looked at Alex and then Fiona. "I don't know about you, Fi, but something must be brewing around the area that we don't know about."

~What direction is that ship headed, Lex?~ the rebel leader asked the base watch. ~Have the base lie low. We must not attract the attention of that ship.~

Arik, you b*****d. What are you up to? Kyne thought as he followed the sight of the ship.

~Kyne to all bases in the Namvin proximity. Lie low. I repeat. Lie low and be ready. The enemy is on the prowl.~

((Edited.))

Alexia ShadowWolf
Crap.

"I remember that ship well..." Alex said as she started to tense up, her arms were crossed and her hands gripping her arms tightly, her nails digging in. She had it in for Arik and she planned to rip him to pieces.
"Don't pull that trigger... We don't need them to come and investigate..." She said, looking at Ian. She then looked over at Kyne.
"What do we do if they land?" Alex asked. "It won't be good if I'm recognized..."

Rebel NPC Lex Moore - The Guard Dog
Oooooh s**t...

"Shiiiiiit... Is that the Icharus? It looks like it's heading this direction sir. Aye, no one will be going in or out..." Lex replied as he kept one of the base's cameras focused on the air ship.

Exa Winds ~ Tea, nice and bitter sweet! ... I need to whack someone soon.

"As you wish, master," Exa bowed and excused herself to make the tea. For some weird reason, she really wanted to smack something... again. So, what ended up happening was that Exa didn't whack anyone and furiously stirred the hot tea, making it ready in thirty seconds, and briskly walked back to Arik's office. Arik didn't want anything in it anyway.

"Tea," Exa announced as she entered the room and held it out on a tray.
