Snapping her head up once Jerome seemed to be choking, she grabbed his paw in hers as he finally settled down enough to breathe properly. Already her mind was racing, the suddenly reality that she had even less time than she assumed was harrowing and if she could of she felt as if she could run and do it all now.
"....we just started and it seems we're already running out of time..." Koyuki breathed to calm her nerves, paw still entwined with his. How soon would the kits get here? When would she need to be on bed rest again? What did they all need for kits? All these questions were quickly becoming major issues, and she ran her free paw through her messy hair much like Jerome did.
"Just......wow." Gazing down to her abdomen in a bit of awe, it was strange to think how one thing could just turn one's world upside down.

The Spartan pondered as he knew well that She was thinking the same stuff he was. Although it wasn't unlike him to not have answers, for once he had none at all. Being new to this world was difficult, but now raising 2 children? It was almost out of the question as he had no idea as to even how to raise children at all.
"Well....I could..ask. I know there are a few foxes in my house that have had children." he muttered out loud. He wasn't really aware of anything right now. Especially the screaming Elysia who had been trying to get their attention for quite some time

"It never hurts...." Koyuki felt a bit discouraged in a way, despite what her mother had to go through with her prior kits, Koyuki was the only one she'd raised. While Kirara had been so helpful, the vixen realized she didn't know anyone with children of their own. Surely it would be a great idea of Jerome could find out some things.
Pondering in her thoughts a moment, her ears twitched as she could hear Elysia through her daze, turning to look as the disguarded helmet. Biting her lip gently she motioned for Jerome to look at his helmet. "I...think she's trying to get your attention...."

Jerome waved a paw at his helmet. "Bah...she's just lonely." he said as he looked out a window, trying to imagine the events to come
----------------------------------------- Time skip
It had been a hectic 2 weeks. Jerome had practically moved in to Koyuki's room just to tend to her every questionable need. He didn't enjoy living inside of the house, and he desperately craved the bitter silence of his own pod, but he felt it was his duty to care for his mate...especially seeing as it was his fault.
On this particular morn, Jerome had shirked his armor and wished desperately for something different while he ran to the shop to but...watermelon. Of all things. But it's what Koyuki wanted, so he felt obligated to get it. He just hoped she still wanted it when he got back.

Sleep. It was a thing of the past.
The break of dawn warranted watermelon. Lots of watermellon. When had she ever been this thirsty, Koyuki never knew but just something about that large melon that her body wanted NOW. She watched through the window as Jerome headed diligently out to fetch it for her, and like he, she hoped she still wanted it when he returned. Hormones had become notorious for making her change her mind, being sick of it one minute and just needing it the next.
Needless to say her bedrest had paid off, as a pair of healthy kits grew in her swelling abdomen, moreso a lump of someone who was half way through when she was maybe passing her first trimester. They were big, and she was in the worst uncomfortable pain in her lifetime. Looking around the room that now housed them both since he was sweet enough to move in to make sure she was alright...but it was a mess.
How the heck would two infants fit in here as well!!? Immediately the urge to clean became strong, and heaving her tiny (despite bulging) frame out of the bed she began to pick up the various pieces of her Kimono and facecloths used for her hot flashes. "Why is this so messy!?" Koyuki didn't remember having all this stuff before, but now it was like some kind of bomb had gone off!

It didn't take long for Jerome to get the Watermelon, and then quickly return, only to find his dearly beloved to be out of bed and picking clothes up. "Uh..honey" he said waiting for the hormonal roar to stab at him. He had fought brutes, elites, and ever things that were several times his size. But nothing was more scary than a pregnant woman.
He was tempted to just set the watermelon on the bed and run for dear life, but he knew that would land him a beating faster than he could say sorry. So he forced himself to walk into the room and place the watermelon on the bed, then trying to coax Koyuki back to resting

Koyuki hadn't even noticed he'd returned as she placed the dirty clothes in the basket, before seizing come clean ones to fold....but she just wasn't pleased with how she was folding the fresh cloths. How did other's make them so pretty!? Wasn't mothers supposed to know how to fold, and keep things tidy, and be....perfect!? When was she supposed to learn these things during bedrest....where was her teacher!?
Jumping slightly as he finally spoke up, she whirled around as he placed the mellon on he bed, feeling the helplessness of her situation begin to overwhelm her. Three weeks of bedrest was a disaster for her emotions, and it showed as she looked to him with teary eyes. "J.....Jer......" She held up the cloth pathetically as she gave a little sniffle, before the floodworks opened and she cried into the cloth.
"I....I c-c-cant f-fold it n-nice!"

Jerome tried everything in his power to refrain from rolling his emerald eyes. He gently took the peice of clothing and folded it for her in the very best way he could. He was sure it didn't meet her standards though
"See? It's not that bad" as he walked over to a duffel bag on his side of the room and opened it, revealing several boxes of tissues. He picked one up and handed it to her. "Just don't worry about it too much and get back to bed. Don't want those kids to pop out before their ready" he chuckled knowing he probably just signed his death warrant

Folding her ears back along her skull since she no longer had any desire to fix her hair properly; her hair was usually let down or in a simple bun like it was now. Of course the folding was not how she wanted it, but she hadn't the heart to tell him otherwise as he pulled out a box of tissues amidst her crying. Always prepared....
"Thank you..." Koyuki breathed, trying to calm herself as she wiped her eyes. However, as she shook her head, it was apparent she wasn't too upset. "I can't, Jerome. That bed is going to drive me crazy before the kids even arrive...I don't want to lay back down.....please?" Her eyes wandered back to the watermellon on the bed, debating tossing it at his head if he said no...but figured he would catch it anyways.
"How about we go enjoy the watermellon somewhere outside? Spring is here and its beautiful out...."

He sighed as he listened to her words. He himself wanted to cry as he knew far to well what would happen if he said no. "I'm sorry baby. Doctor said you have to stay inside and in that bed. The best I can do for you, is opening your window" he said with a sad smile
He prepared himself for a watermelon fight

....Open the window? Open the WINDOW!?
"I WON'T!" The little vixen snapped in a voice with such a loud velocity it seemed it would belong to someone three times her size. "I'm done with bed rest, I'm fine! I want to go outside!" And oh boy, outside she was going to go. Stomping over and snatching the watermelon from the bed, she gave him a look as if she would throw it...but decided she still wanted to juicy fruit.
"The doctor can go shove it!" She hissed, whirling around and near waddling as fast as she could out of the bedroom and down the hall.

Jerome's sad smile slowly turned to a grimace. He didn't want to have to get rough with his mate, but he figured at this point he had no choice. His ears flattened as he jumped through the door and sprinted in front of her, preparing to stop her cold. "I said your not going outside. I'm just following orders" he said sternly with a concerned glare staring her down.
He was surprised she could walk much less make him tremble a bit in nervousness.

Perking her ears as she heard and felt the heavy footsteps on the ground she paused for a moment as her mate moved infront of her, a bad place to be in the space between her a the freedom of outdoors. Without even thinking a growl actually rose in her throat as normally docile, warm chocolate orbs turned cold and narrowed.
"Either things are going to get ugly really fast, or you escort me outside so I can lay out there in the sun. I'm not going back to bed till later." Koyuki made a mental note to hurt the doctor next time he came around for making such a stupid rule for her to follow. She knew Jerome meant the best, but right now everything in her body screamed to feel the sun on her fur and the wind across her face....the grass under her paws....oh how nice...
"Now help me, Jerome....or get. out. of. my. way."

Jerome gives a long hard glare to his mate. All the while he's ponder which would if what she wanted was really all that bad. He glanced over his shoulder. It was a calm sunny day and warm to boot. If all she wanted to do was sit on the porch, he really couldn't fight that.
He sighed, and dropped his gaze to the ground before straightening up and moving aside, waiting for the hurricane to pass him by
