Yeow Kid you have some serious skill. I'm curious to know on your pencil sketches do you just work down with eraser when cleaning or do you work upward with sheet paper to add and clean till you hit bristol on a light table. Some are obvious pencil so it's cool to see the clean product later in your pages. Nice job I hope to see more from you.
actually, unless i outright position something wrong(the arm with the hat was erased like twenty times xD) i rarely erase in this style. I sketch flowingly, with 3d structure in mind and where the sketch lines intersect i find the line i want and define it. in this picture i drew the body (naked first for position) as best i could, cleaned it with the levels tool in photoshop/gimp (best tool in existence i swear), then printed it so that it was extremely light, almost invisible. then i drew the clothing and skin with cleaner lines over the transparent body.
the levels tool is a beast, you can adjust the light side of it to completely eliminate the smudges and light marks, while adjusting the dark side makes the darks more defined, making it look like ink. this drawing was done with a basic mechanical pencil and then the levels tool twice, basically.
@Je suis a toi: nah dont do that, you can make it happen.
@Cory: Me Mofo. Can't beat the beast~
