Yesterday, Lenore came by. I pinned her down, and she gave me the history of her father. And, told me a little about the woman I was named after.

I must admit that these are two people that I simply would love to meet. I am hoping that Voldemort grows to be every bit as wonderful as his name-sake. Well, except for the fact that Bellartix is HIS lieutenant. Baby Voldemort will be MY lieutenant. . . .

Anyway, Lenore came by today, as well. She brought me more things for Voldemort and earrings for me. At first she thought I would only want one piercing. I asked her to bring me more, just so I could get them all at once.

I love being pierced. . . .

I have become quite the domestic.

Do you know how much that SUCKS?!

I come home from meeting more of my family, with Voldemort strapped on my back, and feed him, make sure he is bathed, and in bed. Then, I cook dinner! I COOK! I don't even eat the crap I cook.

Yes, this thoroughly sucks

I find myself wondering if I should just run away? You know, go down to Emerald Haven, and then just run away to live on Gaia or something. Then, I could be my own woman, again, and not a domestic drone.

But, I won't. I am no coward, and I like my cave too damn much.

I think what brings this on is the fact that I am taking care of Voldemort. I don't want kids, and here I am, caring for one. I can't just leave him at home and go off and have alone time in the forest, like I can with Signis. I have to take him everywhere with me.

Maybe I can find someone to babysit him every once in a while?

Lenore came by again, however, and I told her she had to take care of him. I needed to train, and I needed to go and help Casala with her temple, and her own lessons. I made promises, and I feel the need to keep them.

Which is another thing that sucks.

I had better go. Voldemort is staring at me with his 'I am hungry' glare.

Tartara
Raken gently held the infinite child in his arms as he walked down the halls, wondering how he had been stuck with little Dameon. Tartara was just gone when he woke up along with Tristen and Amara. He sighed "It seems it's just going to be me and you."

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix sighs as she walks into the HQ. She hates this place. She just knows there will be too many people in here, and they will want to laugh, and have fun, and glomp her.

At least, that is what she is thinking.

But, she needed to get away from Voldemort. He kept staring at her, and it seems as though he can see right into her mind. Very unnerving. So, she slipped out when Lenore came to visit again, leaving her with Voldemort.

Bellatrix looks around, wondering if anyone is in here. If not, she is going to lie down and catch a quick nap. . . .

She then sees a flash of blue, black, and silver. Quirking a brow, she watches the other Pae walk around with the baby in his arms.

Tartara
Raken's cool dark blue eyes raised and locked onto the teen. For a moment his gaze remained locked on the green Pae as he continued walking, wondering if she would be like the other two females he had met and hug him. But then he turned into the kitchen, the eye contact momentarily broken.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix shrugs. Well, if that guy doesn't want to talk, that is fine with her. She just needed to get away for a while.

So, she goes and finds a place to sit. Sinking into one of the chairs, she leans back against it, sighing in an almost content manner. Maybe the trip here won't be so bad after all? It doens't look like there are too many Pae coming in tonight. . . .

Torvil Rakamash
Signis slid into the HQ and looked about with a frown, the reason he was here was simple, he was going to try and sneak a few books out of the library here, that was all he needed, it was nothing he'd wanted Bellatrix to know... Not at all...

He of course saw her, and held his breath.

Don't turn around... Don't turn around...

Tartara
He took the bottle of milk off of the stove and tested it on his wrist. Raken had read about how to care for a baby in some book. He liked to read books, especially in his room. Deciding that the temperature was just right, he put the milk into a bottle and put it to the little guys lips and let him begin to suckle on it. "Ma-ma." gonk How have I become the mother figure here?! "Look Dameon, I am not your mother. Tartara is. Tar-tara. Got it?" The baby just squirmed for more milk. Sighing, he walked out. Maybe he could relax for a bit somewhere... Raken sat down in a chair, nodding to the green Pae'il before closing his eyes

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix stretches her legs out, and notices the familiar colors of a certain someone. But, she does not show that she has seen him. If he wanted to talk with her, he would get his cloudy butt over here. . . .

Instead, she nods to the other one, and snickers a little. She had heard the baby's word from the kitchen, and she can't help but be highly amused. "What's next?" she asks. "Pigtails and a dress? Maybe some lipstick and mascara?"

Torvil Rakamash
Signis decided he wasn't going to take the risk, she was currently in a converstation... But the books he wanted would probably raise HUGE red flags for her, so he slowly backed out and headed out the door, he'd come back another day...

Tartara
His eyes opened slightly into slits from under silver bangs. "I doubt that there is any color lipstick that would go with my complextion." He responded dryly if softly as the back of his mind registered the leaving Pae

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix raises her eyebrow, and watches as Signis leaves. Shrugging, and not caring what she could have done to piss him off so much that he wouldn't even stay to chat, she turns her attention back to the Pae in front of her.

"Oh? I think black would. . . ." she says, with a hissing laugh. "Maybe a sparkling silver?"

Tartara
"Ah yes, sparkling silver. Then maybe we can fit you in a frilly pink tutu?" In a rare moment, he allowed a smile onto his face.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix snorts. "As long as there are sparklies, and you are wearing it, be my guest. Add a little frilly apron to it, as well. So, you can look the part of a domestic. . . ."

Chuckling, she leans back in her chair again. "I'm Bellatrix, by the way."

Tartara
"I'll put mothers and ballerina's to shame." He pulled the bottle from the baby for a moment so it could take a breath before letting it go back to his meal. His eyes flickered up to Bellatrix as she told him her name. "I'm Raken, the yellow thing is Dameon."

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"Nice to meet you, Mummy Raken," she says, in a teasing voice. "If you ever decide to become that stunning fashion plate, do let me know. I would so enjoy seeing it."

Bellatrix takes a moment to adjust the skirt of her dress, and tilts her head to the side. "How did you get stuck with the little one today?"

Tartara
"Don't worry, I wont. My caretaker left me with him." Distantly Raken questioned as to why he was being so talkative, normally he was quiet. Not to be confuesed with shy just...quiet. But it was only a distant thought, there one moment, gone the next.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"Well, that's too bad," Bellatrix says, winking at Raken.

"Ah. . . . Your caretaker sounds like Lenore. She'smy caretaker," she explains. "She is scared of the new baby Pae'il that she found, and left him to live in my cave with me," she shrugs. "Is Dameon really that bad?" she asks.

Tartara
"Not really, he is actually a lot better then Amara was. She has barbed wire all around her. Painfull to hold. Just it's her Pae, she should take care of it." He glanced down and blinked. Dameon had fallen asleep. sweatdrop Why me?

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"If you set him on the couch, he will be fine," Bellatrix says, nodding as though she knows what she is talking about.

"I agree with you whole-heartedly, though. That's why I left Voldemort with Lenore when she came by today. He is not my responsibility. If I wanted children, I would have had them by now," she says, waving that off.

She quirks an eyebrow, though, at the mention of this barbed wire Pae. Hmmmm . . . she could be useful. Bellatrix wonders what her power might be. She makes a note to meet this Amara, and figure out how to use whatever power she has to her advantage. "Barbed wire, huh? That does sound painful," she says. Although, it is a lie. Bellatrix would probably love the sensation. . . . "Do you have to babysit her often?" she asks in a politely interested tone.

After all, maybe Raken knows of this Amara's powers. . . .

Tartara
He nodded and stood, placing the babe on the couch before returning to his seat. "Sort of. Her twin brother follows me and where he goes...she goes." Raken shifted a hand through his hair before looking questionably at her. She looked like a teen still, to young to have children. "Does that mean that you are in love?" The demonic Pae recalled that one male that was there breifly. He seemed sort of nervous there, maybe relationship troubles?

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"Interesting. . . . Is her twin brother anything like her?" Bellatrix asks.

Then, she quirks a brow. She doesn't like the love subject, runs from it every chance she gets. So, she turns it into a joke, because she is not going to look like some coward in front of this new person.

"Nope. But, you know, silver and blue does it for me," she says, with a wink and a chuckle.

Tartara
"Not really, he's completely the opposite." He smiled again. Twice in one day. A new record. "And emerald would blend perfectly with me if not the pink tutu." Raken joked back. He himself wasn't into love. The demonic pae'il tended to think more with his head then his heart, with logic instead of emotion. What was logical about love? "Hehe! Raken funny!" eek "Don't tell me..." Raken turned. Sure enough, Tristen and Amara were standing there, looking at him with big golden eyes. Giggles. "Mommy took us for a walk! We come back now though, and she wants to sleep. So we hafta stay wiff you!" Amara crossed her arms before walking to the couch to sit on the opposite cushion of Dameon. Of course not leaving enough room for Tristen, content on watching her brother sit on the floor. Her eyes locked on the female. "Who are you?"

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix winks again. "Ah, the pink tutu. I think we could make it work," she says, chuckling.

She then watches as the new arrivals come in. The girl with the barbed wire catches her attention first. She is a pretty one. . . .

"I think the question is, who are you?" Bellatrix asks, not really liking what she sees as the slightly demanding tone in Amara's voice.

She glances down at who could only be Amara's twin. Kiss marks, and pink skin? She hopes his ability will be better than the kissy theme on his skin. . . .

Tartara
He sighed, looking at Amara. He hoped that she didn't start an argument. Amara opened her mouth, fully intending to spout out some smart alleic remartk- "Amara! She's my sis. I'm Tristen!" sweatdrop Saved by a child. A thoughtful expression crossed his face and he smiled, tapping into his power a bit as the little fae sat onto Bellatrix's lap. "I no see you here before." Amara rolled her eyes, being able to feel the subtle shift in the air from her brother. He was actually going to try and charm a girl now.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix blinks when she suddenly has a kid in her lap. She is fully intending on shoving him off of her, but suddenly, she feels a little . . . warmth.

Where the hell did that come from?! "Uhm, it is nice to meet you, Tristen. . . . And Amara," she glances over at Raken, quirking an eyebrow. "I'm Bellatrix."

Pausing a moment, still feeling the slight warmth in her, she shakes her head. "I don't come around here. I don't like people."

Tartara
He shrugged at her look. "Told you he was her opposite." Delighted that it had worked- so far he had only tried it on animals- Tristen tried tapping into it a bit more, wondering how much he could do. "But you never know who ya'll meet." Amara shook her head at the slight increase of power. Foolishness. But maybe...she could have some fun with this. The Fae tapped into her own powers. sweatdrop She could make people feel...grumpy. Grumpy. But maybe if put to a high enough degree it could make them angry, and anger tended to blurr rational thought...

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix blinks, taking the fog in her brain and drop-kicking it out. "Tell me about it," she mumbles to Raken before returning her gaze to Tristan again.

"Generally, when I meet someone, I dislike them," she tells the young boy. "Why, do you actually like meeting people?"

Narrowing her eyes at the stuff in the air, she looks over at Amara again. Alright, this is getting ridiculous, and in a few minutes, she might just jump out of her chair and leave. She doesn't like having her emotions tampered with. . . . And, since it only started happening after the twins came in, she logically assumes it is them.

Tartara
"Because they're so inter-in-ter-es-interesting! Like Raken and Amara! They are alike in sum ways." nods Noticing her look she jumped, quickly pulling out of her power. Amara didn't know how Bellatrix knew (she could only tell Tristin was using magic because they were twins and she wasn't quite intelligent enough to know that she would guess her emotions started acting weird) but she didn't want to get in trouble because of it. Tartara wouldn't give her anymore apples.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix, finding that she has recieved an agreeable response from her look at Amara, turns to look at Tristen again. "I don't know about that. I have only met annoying faerie girls who are cowards," she says, referring to Anila and Morena. "I have met few that interest me besides my family. . . ."

She glances over at Raken. "Though, Mummy Raken," she says, smiling in a teasing manner again. "I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter?"

Tartara
Amara glared, thinking Bellatrix was talking about her for pulling back. It was all she could do to not go unleash her full power at the Pae. Raken shook his head, not smiling though his eyes shown with mirth. "My thoughts on the matter is that a certain toddler needs a bed and two certain children need to go to bed." "AWWWW!" He pouted but slid off of Bellatrix, walking to Raken. "No fair." Amara wordlessly got down from the couch, moving slightly when the older Pae stood and picked up Dameon. "Goodnight Bellatrix." He nodded farewell before walking away. "Bye bye~!" Tristen blew a kiss at the female before galloping after Raken, giggling. "Children" She muttered, following at her own pace.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix watches them leave before she stands and follows them.

Babysitting?!

Lenore eyes Voldemort, whom is currently in her lap. Every time she comes here to check on Bellatrix, she gets stuck with this . . . thing. She should have killed him the moment she saw him.

Catching herself, she shakes her head. What an aweful thing to think of a child! Forget the fact that she knows this is no ordinary child, she can tell by the look in his scarlet eyes. He is still a child!

She continues to stare down at him, refusing to tear her eyes away from the hateful, scarlet ones. Even if they make a chill go down her spine.

Voldemort sucks on his pacifier, remaining eerily quiet. Every once in a while, he moves his tail, or a fisted hand, but other than that, he remains deathly still.

Lenore shakes her head, finally looking away. She put up blocks in her mind, a force of habit, especially since she has been around her father more lately. But, she gets the feeling that he might be able to see right through her.

Voldemort lets the pacifier fall out of his mouth, and hisses up at Lenore. He's not saying anything, not really. But, she finds herself blinking when she realizes that he might be trying to.

Testing him, Lenore hisses, "Quit staring at me."

Voldemort blinks, once, and narrows his eyes at Lenore. He starts to hiss some more, but, again, no words are formed.

Lenore looks down at him, smugly. "Oh, is wittle baby Voldy offended? I am sorry, my lord. I would be quaking, but you are too damn weak." She know she shouldn't say that. Her experience with any child that is not human, or not born in the other realm she grew up in, is that they remember things that happened when they were babies.

Sure enough, Voldemort narrows his eyes further, his unintelligble hissing growing into spitting angry ones, his little limbs thrashing about. Lenore holds him out in front of her, and can't help but laugh. "Looks like ickle Voldy needs a nap," she hisses. She stands, still holding the thrashing Voldemort out in front of her, and heads toward the spiral staircase.

Voldemort glares at Lenore. She fancies she can see a threat in his eyes, but pushes that out. If she is lucky, he won't remember any of this. . . .

~*~*~***~*~*~

Bellatrix walks deeper into Dragnid forest, Snakey wrapped around her waist, Nyoko draped over her shoulders and around her right arm, and Casey slithering in the air beside her. "I think we are getting closer to some more of them," Bellatrix hisses, excitedly.

"Yoooooooou'vvve foooooooooouuuuuuund aaaaaaa ggreeeeeeeeeeaaaaatt nuuuuuuuuuummbeeeeeer oooooooooooof theeeeeeeeeeeeeemm iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnn heeeeeeeeeerre," Snakey says, moving his head up Bellatrix's stomach, and making her laugh a little at the tickling sensation.

"Yes, I should have come further in ages ago, don't you think?" Bellatrix chuckles. She isn't too worried about the creatures in the forest. She has her sword sheathed in her belt, and the sheathes holding her elbow blades tied to the silver button on either side of her skirt. She also has a quiver of arrows on her back, and her bow in her hand.

Nyoka has been training Bellatrix in the art of the bow for weeks, now. Nyoka said that she is a good student, and now, Bellatrix rarely misses her mark.

"Be careful of the other animals," Nyoko hisses, looking around from where his head rests on Bellatrix's wrist. "I have been in here, it is not a happy place at times."

"So I have been told, Nyoko. Thank you for the warning, though," Bellatrix says. She then freezes, and brings her free hand to her head.

Juuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssssssst aaaaaaaaahheeeeeeeeeeeeaad. Ssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeveeeeeeeeeraaaaaaaaaaaal oooooooof theeeeeeeeeeemm, Casey informs her.

Bellatrix nods, having felt the sudden slam of their emotions, and their conversations. It was so sudden, it made her dizzy. And, there are so many, it is overwhelming to her.

"Friendly?" she asks.

Casey is silent a moment, slithering forward. He slithers higher, into the cover of the branches, and looks through the leaves down at the spot where Bellarix knows the snakes are.

Uuuuuuuunliiiiiiiiiiiikeely, ssssssssssssssssssiissssssssssssssssttter, Casey replies.

"I am up for the challenge. . . ." Bellatrix says, and takes a tentative step closer. . . .

Babysitting?! Cont.

Lenore sits, reading a book, in Voldemort's room. After about a half an hour after she stuck him in the crib, he finally stopped his hissing and fell asleep.

Sighing, she ses the book in her lap, and stretches her back. She frowns, wondering when Bellatrix plans on coming back. She can feel that it is getting dark.

Of course, Bellatrix has often displayed that she does not want Lenore's assistance in many a things, including watching over her while she is out looking for her family.

She closes the book, and stands. She checks on Voldemort, before deciding she is going to tidy up the sitting room. She heads down the spiral staircase and heads toward the sitting room, starting first by straightening the pictures of her and Eirnae, and Damien and Nyoka and all the rest of the family.

~*~*~***~*~*~

Bellatrix stops as she is surrounded by the snakes she was seeking. All of them are hissing in a threatening way, and slithering around her in a quick pace, lunging out threateningly every once in a while.

She winces when both Snakey and Nyoko start to constrict a little around her, and hiss back in equally threatening manners.

Yoooooooooou ttwwwoooooooooooo aaaaaaaaaaarreeee nnnooooooooot heeeeeeeeeeelppinnnnnnnng, Casey points out as he slithers around Bellatrix.

At the hissing coming from Casey, the other snakes start to slow their pace, and look at each other in a confused manner.

"Keep hissing, Casey," Bellatrix hisses.

When she hisses, the snakes stop moving around her completely, and slither a little away from her, turning to look back at her with wary interest.

Iiiii beeeeeeeeeeeelieeeeeeeeevve iiiiiiiiiiitt iiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssss beeeeesssssssssssssst iiiiiiiiiiiff yoooooooooooouu keeeeeeeeeeeeeeep hiiiiiissssssssssssssssssssssssssssing, Beeeeeeellatriiiiiiiixxxxxxxxxxxx, Casey replies.

Taking a deep breath, which is hard with Snakey still constricting a little around her torso, now, instead of her waist, she starts, "Brothers and sisters, I am not here to harm you. I only wish to talk. . . ."

"Theeeeeeeeeeeeen, sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssspeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaak," An older, female, ovbiously venomous snake snake says.

Bellatrix nods, inclining her head rspectfully to the snake. "I am Bellatrix," she starts.

It is then that Casey slithers forward, toward the snake that spoke. Sssssssssssssssssssssshheeeeeeeeeeeee isssssssssssssssssss yooooooooooooooooour sssssssssssssssssiiiissssssssssssssssssssteeeer, he tells her.

The snakes start to hiss amongst themselves, sniffing at the air around Bellatrix.

"Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeggiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii," the older female says, circling around Bellatrix again.

"Negi?" Bellatrix asks, softly. She pauses a moment, staring at the snake circling her. Her eyes glass over a moment, and she says, "Aaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssspiiiisssssssssssssssss."

"Iiiiiiit iiiiiiiiissssssssssssssssssss yooooooooooooooooooooooooou," Aspis hisses, and she turns to regard the other snakes. She hisses to them to come forward and show their respect. . . . .

~*~*~***~*~*~

Bellatrix walks home, now closer to her goal than ever before. She feels Nyoko's tail wrap around her neck, the tip tapping against her collarbone lazily.

Yooooooooouuu diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, sssssssssssssssssiiissssssssssssssssssssssstteeeeeeeeeeeer, the Yaaraer says.

Bellatrix looks over at Casey, and smiles every so slightly. "You think so?" she hisses. Her smile widens a little when Casey nods his head. "Aspis will further my cause. Her and the rest of my family will soon have the word spread all over the island. Every snake here will know my name. . . ."

Of course, now she is not sure whether she will be called Bellatrix, or Negi, by her family.

It isn't long before she is pushing open the stone door of her cave. "I'm back," she says.

Lenore peeks out from the kitchen. "It took you long enough," she says, frowning.

"Yeah, well," Bellatrix shrugs. "I am going to go take a bath, and then I am going to bed. Is Voldemort asleep?" she asks.

"Yes, he is down for the night," Lenore replies.

Bellatrix gently unwraps Nyoko from around her neck and arm and sets him on the ground, and does the same with Snakey. "Thanks for staying," she says, before hurrying up the stairs.

Lenore shrugs, and then disappears with a pop.

WTF?

Bellatrix glances over at Voldemort. He is lying on his back, chewing on one of his teething rings. He has been a little fussy, in the form of irritated nonsensical hisses, and Lenore suggested that he might be teething.

Well, the ring seems to be working, but Bellatrix finds herself wondering whether or not it will stand up to all of he gnawing that Voldemort has been doing.

Shrugging, she returns to her book, reaching out to pet Snakey.

"Thiiiiiiiiiiissssssssssssssssssss piiiiiiiiiiiillooooooooooooooow ssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeemssssssssssssss haaaaaaaaaaaarrdddeeeeeeeeeeer thaaaaaaaaaaaaann beeeeeeeeeeeeefoooooooooooooore," Snakey comments, finally slithering off of it, and under the table. He coils over something rectangular, and sort of thick.

Bellatrix sighs, and closes her books. "Guardians, dammit, Signis. Learn to put your books away. Budge off, Snakey. I am going to put the books away."

When Snakey slithers off, she picks up the book. She stands, and is about to put it on the shelf when she notices the title.

"How Do You Know You Are Ready to Have a Baby? What the hell is this?!" she tosses the book onto the table, and strides over to the pillow that Snakey had abandoned. She kicks the pillow aside, and frowns. She picks up this book, as well, and reads, Five Easy Rules for Raising a Baby.

"Snakey, you and Nyoko wait by the inside of the door. I am going to go and get some of the more agressive members of our family to protect the outside. Signis is not to come in. . . ." With that, Bellatrix hurries out of the study, and calls out to Casey, "I will be back soon! Watch Voldemort, Casey!"

She then leaves the cave.

Uh Huh. . . .

So, I talked to Signis about those suspicious books. He claims that they are for helping with Voldemort. I don't know whether to believe him or not, because one of the books was about how you can tell whether you or not you are ready to have a baby.

I let it go. He knows my position on that subject, and I am not going to keep beating it into him. He either accepts it, or he gets out of my life.

Anyway, I had an interesting evening the other day. I speak more of it when I have more to report.

Yeah, this is a short entry, but I am tired, and all I want to do is curl up on my pillows and sleep. I have to be up early to take care of Voldemort.

He's Mobile, Now. . . .

Lenore actually peeks into the cave, as though to make sure Bellatrix is nowhere to be seen. For, where there is Bellatrix, there is most likely Voldemort.

And, she is in no mood to see him. With the wedding plans, she has been busy. She decided that she needed to make an appearance, fill the fridge again, and then leave. Fulfill her promise to Bellatrix of still providing for Voldemort.

Bellatrix is in the sitting room, as it turns out, when she hears the handle turn. It can only be one person, as Signis never comes home this early, and, grinning in a wicked manner to Voldemort, she hisses something, really just thinking aloud. She has recently taught Voldemort how to crawl, and he has become quite good at it.

Voldemort looks up at Bellatrix with the red eyes that, Bellatrix hopes, other people will find utterly creepy. His grin mirrors Bellatrix's, which makes her think that he can understand her.

So, she asks him, and when he nods, her grin widens. She hurries, silently, on her bare feet to hide against the wall right next to the entry way, while Voldemort crawls quickly toward the entryway.

Peeking out of the entry way, he sees that Lenore has her back turned and is closing and locking the door. He starts to quietly, and slowly, crawl toward her. He stops a couple of feet behind her and waits for her to put her wand in one of the many belts around her hips and waist.

When Lenore turns, she doesn't look down immediately. So lost in thoughts about her upcoming wedding is she that her keen ears didn't pick up on the hissing of Bellatrix, and the crawling of Voldemort earlier.

Bellatrix moves slightly, so that she can have a clear look at what is about to happpen.

Sure enough, there is a shriek, and the sound of someone falling, and the sounds of a few other things falling onto the cave's stone floor. Bellatrix holds in her cackling, and steps out of the study.

Voldemort, however, has proceeded to crawl toward Lenore, whom is scrambling back by bending her knees and pushing herself back.

Now, some would wonder: Why would a grown woman be so scared of a toddler?

Lenore has seen the look that is on Voldemort's face right now, many of times, mirrored on her father's face. And, she knows something bad is about to happen.

Bellatrix strides forward, and saves Lenore. She bends down and picks up Voldemort. He begins hissing things to Bellatrix, while Lenore's heavy-lidded eyes widen to the size of tea-saucers.

Bellatrix is not quite as shocked to see that he knows enough of the snake language to say a sentence or two, or to at least convey what he is thinking.

"Now, now, Voldemort," Bellatrix says. "She takes care of you, let's play nice."

"Get him out of here," Lenore says, trying her best to regain her composure. "Bellatrix, GET HIM OUT OF HERE."

"Fine, but this is his home, as well, Lenore," Bellatrix says, turning to walk back into the study.

"Yeah, well, remember who made it!" Lenore calls after her, angry at herself for being so frightened, and that a damn toddler has the same effect on her as the grown wizard that he looks like does.

"Are you threatening me?" Bellatrix says, presenting her profile to Lenore as she turns her head to look at her.

Lenore shakes her head, and stalks past Voldemort and Bellatrix. "I hope he tears up everything he can. And, believe me, if he does, I am not going to fix it," she says, slamming the bags on the counter. "You can take care of these." With that, she disappears with a pop.

Bellatrix narrows her eyes at the spot where Lenore was standing only a second ago. "Next time, I will let you have some more fun, Voldemort."

Voldemort looks pleased at this, and kicks his feet, signalling for Bellatrix to set him down. When she does, he crawls after her into the kitchen, and watches her put the food away.

A Day in the Life of. . . .

Voldemort sits in his room, staring up at the shelf. Up there is his coveted sword. Obviously, he can't get to it, which burns him.

He flaps his little wings, scowling. What is the good of having wings when you can't use them?

Snorting, Voldemort starts crawling toward the shelf. Well, if he can't get to his sword, he is going to have to try and get it to come to him!

When he reaches the shelf, he pulls the books out of the bottom shelf, and throws them as far as he can, trying to make as much noise as possible.

He will not cry to get Bella to come up here!

Sure enough, it doesn't take long for the green Pae'il to peek into the room. She dodges one of the thrown books, and scoops up Voldemort, who hisses angrily.

He scowls at Bellatrix, and actually tries to hit her face.

Bellatrix, knowing the warning signs, grabs his hand. "Stop it!" she hisses just as angrily at him.

Voldemort narrows his red eyes at Bellatrix. He then points up at the sword, and gives her a look that clearly says he wants her to get it down, and yesterday.

Bellatrix shakes her head. "You know what, Voldemort? I don't take orders from you. If you are going to act like a stupid, spoiled child, I will put you in your crib, and keep you in there. Just like a stupid, spoiled child."

Voldemort hisses at her, his tail whipping against her hip.

"Oh, did you not like that? Tough. You aren't getting that sword right now. You will either learn how to deal with it, or you will be stuck in your crib," and with that, she sets Voldemort back onto the floor, and leaves the room.

Voldemort watches her leave, steaming. She doesn't know her place. Although she will be a powerful ally somewhere down the road, even at this age he can see this, he still needs to teach her just who is in charge here.

Voldemort picks up the care bear that has his coloring, and stares at the little black eyes. All he wants to do right now is rip the thing apart. . . . But, what good would it do? And, could he even do that at the stage that he is in now?

Frustrated, he throws the bear away from him, and starts to crawl out of the room. When he is more mobile, and when he can speak better, he will start to have more fun. He just knows it. And, he will be able to start and show Bella just where her place is.

Patience. He has a great deal of this. And, while he waits, he will just try and think of the best ways to go about his plans. . . . Oh, yes. There will be more fun to be had. . . .

Explinations?

(( I want to take this moment to clarify something. Eirnae had an idea about Bellatrix, and it explained perfectly just WHY she felt such a deep kinship with her fellow serpents, and why she could speak to them, and feel them around her, and, indeed, manipulate them to do whatever she needed them to do, and reach out to them to call them to her should she need them. I liked the idea, and I took it to Dia. She has approved what you are now reading. I do not want anyone thinking that I am just going off on my own and doing my own thing. I have, though, added some new things to it, as my creativity got the better of me. That is all. ))

Bellatrix sighs as she hitches up the back sling that is carrying Voldemort. She has things that she needs to do! Between her ceaseless training with her bow with Nyoka, and her elbow blades with both Signis and Iphigenia, and dealing with Voldemort, she has not had time to do any more exploring.

And, Lenore, unfortunately, did not come by today.

"Voldemort, you are too heavy," she grouses. She gets a laugh from Voldemort over her discomfort, and it only makes her scowl deepen. "I'm glad you are having fun," she says, hitting him lightly with her tail.

When they finally reach Dragnid, Bellatrix pauses outside of it. She puts her hands over the hilts of her elbow blades and takes a deep breath.

Closing her eyes, she listens closely to all of the hissing going on in her subconscious. At times, she hates that she can hear and feel all of the snakes around her, but mostly she has gotten used to the many voices. "Casey," she hisses.

The spirit slithers toward Bellatrix, and coils around her body. She shivers, but doesn't say anything, even as Voldemort squirms on her back.

"Do you feel Aspis?" she asks Casey.

"Yeeeeessssssssssssssssssss," Casey replies.

"So do I. . . . Let's go. Nyoko, Snakey, you two wait for us here," Bellatrix says. Snakey doesn't like it, but he agrees, while Nyoko doesn't give her much of an argument.

Unconcerned about what else might be lurking in the woods, Bellatrix walks toward the spot she feels Aspis is in. It takes them a while to get there, and she hears many a growl as she makes her way deeper and deeper into the forest. She is sure that, had it not been for the spooky feeling that some beings get when there is a spirit in the vacinity, she might have been attacked several times. She might not have even lived.

She reaches the grouping of large snakes, and pauses. She inclines her head, and hisses her questions.

A few moments later, Aspis slithers forward. She coils around Bellatrix's bare feet, hissing her greetings. "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat brriiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnngssssssssssssssss yoooooooooooooooooou heeeeeeeeeeeerrree, sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssiiisssssssssssssssssssssssster?" she asks.

"I was hoping you might talk to me a bit," Bellatrix says, gently stepping out of the circle that her sister has made around her feet so that she can sit beside her. "I am confused, and I think that you might be the only one that has the answers."

"I oooooooooooooooooooonlyyy knnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooww aaa liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttlle, Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeegggi," Aspis replies. "Caaaaaaaaaaaaaassseeeeeeeeeeeeeyy wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllll haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavvvvvve toooooooooooooooooo heeeeeeeeeeeeeeellp wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitth theeeeeeeeeeeeeee reeeeeessssssssssssssssstt."

Casey unwinds himself from around Bellatrix, and slithers to hover in the air above Aspis.

"I wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllll sssssssssssssssssssssssssstaaaarrrrt frrrrrroooooooooooooooooooooooomm theeeeeeeeeeee beeeeeeeeeeeegginnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnng," Aspis says. . . .

~*~*~***~*~*~

Bellatrix sat there, the whole time listening to the story of Negi. Negi died a few years ago, and all of the snakes around Bellatrix now were present as her spirit was released from her body. Though, something odd had happened. She joined her brothers and sisters, but only for a moment. No one knew what happened to her, they just remember that there was much confusion. And, no one knew where she had went.

Casey then took up the story, as when his spirit was leaving his body, he learned much about, and from, his brothers and sisters. When Bellatrix turned up at his ritual, Negi's spirit was immediately recognized. He is unsure if she had reached out at that time to give the story to the other Yaaraea, or if it had been gathered by the Yaaraea over the years, but the story is now known to them, and Casey feels that Bellatrix and Aspis, in the least, should know.

The Guardians plucked Negi away from the Yaaraea, because they had different plans for her. Negi was to bond with a pae'il of her chosing. As time seemed to be running out, because the pae'il were evolving and the new evolution would prove that the merging would be much more complicated, the guardians advised Negi that she would need to chose someone, and soon.

Negi had finally found a pae that would be suitable for her needs. While Bellatrix was in her egg, Negi looked into her developing brain, and liked what she saw. She informed the Guardians, and they gave her the instructions on merging with Bellatrix.. Negi went through the ritual, and successfully merged her spirit with Bellatrix's.

When Casey falls silent, Bellatrix is left just staring at him, blinking only once. She doesn't know how she likes the information that she has been given. Right now, however, she is just trying to digest it.

She supposes that she should have suspected that something like this had happened to her. She is a bit different from the other pae'il. Her diet, for one, and some physical attributes: them being her forked tongue, snake fangs, and the ability to unhinge her jaw.

"Thank you, Aspis," Bellatrix hisses, slowly. "I am afraid that I must go. . . . You have given me much to think about. . . ."

Aspis slithers closer to Bellatrix. "Ooooooooooooooof coooooooouuurrrrsssssssssssssssssssssssee, Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeggiii," she hisses.

Bellatrix stands, with some difficulty because of Voldemort's weight on her back, and because she had been sitting there for longer than she thought. She then turns, and starts heading back out of the forest, Casey coiled around her again.

Chewing on her lip, Bellatrix thinks about everything she has just heard. She'll need to talk to someone about it, but, she is not sure who. She might sound crazy. . . .

A Pleasant Interruption.

Bellatrix is loungin on all of the pillows in the sitting room. She didn't want to walk upstairs just now, so she took them all and piled them up so she had something similar to her bed.

She asked Snakey and Nyoko to escort Voldemort upstairs, so that she may have some alone time.

She lies there, staring at the statue that Casala so graciously gifted her, her head tilted to the side as she chews on her tongue thoughtfully.

The events from earlier have given her a lot of things to think about. Has she gone a step further to understanding just why she has this need to find all of the snakes on the isle? Or, does this revelation have nothing to do with that particular quest?

And, just what was so special about Negi that caused the Guardians to hand-pick her for the merging? And, indeed, what made her so special that Negi chose her?

Well, that last one is easy enough to answer. Bellatrix smile wickedly as she thinks, once again, that she is perfect, and all should know that by now! Of course Negi would see that! Someone chosen by the Guardians for such a task would know greatness when they see it!

But, that left the other questions unanswered, and she finds herself no closer to the bottom of things.

Her brooding is soon interrupted by a sharp pain in her head. Bellatrix actually rolls her eyes at this. "Would you two make up your mind? Are you going to stay the same size, or grow? Are you going to stay on my head, or fall off?" She does, however, squeeze her eyes closed when she feels her horns moving furhter out of her skull.

As soon as one pain ends, another begins. And, this time, it is her whole body that is wracked with it. She clenches her teeth against the irritating pain, and lets out a hissing noise. Her heightened tolerance to pain still doesn't dull this sort too much. Guardians, is she dying?

No, this is too familiar. . . . Taking deep breaths, she forces herself to relax, even as she feels her bones growing a tad too quickly for her skin. Gods, if she gets stretch marks. . . . But, that sort of pain soon stops, leaving her with just that achy, pin-pricking.

It takes longer for this to pass than it did the last time, and Bellatrix finds herself utterly exhausted when it all dies down to a doll throbbing. She lies back on her pillows until she feels that she will be able to walk again.

She stands on shaky legs, and walks slowly toward the downstairs restroom. There is a mirror in there. . . . She sheds the dress she was wearing ealier, as it is split at the seams, some of the material ripped.

Once she is in the rest room, she claps her hands once, and the candles ignite. She blinks when she looks in the mirror. She has definitely grown taller, and her face seems to be a little more mature. She studies the upturned corners of her eyes, and smiles in her wicked way. She's delicious! Just look at her!

She'll have to talk to Lenore, and very soon, about getting her some more dresses. She thinks that she is going to stick with that shiney leather from now on. . . .

Newness.

I am afraid that I do not have much time to do this entry. I have to leave soon, unfortunately.

Anyway, I grew, things have progressed, and now I am about to go on a journey to gather more information about something that is bothering me.

In fact, I am afraid I have to go now. Nyoka has come tp pick up Voldemort, and my things are ready. I will add more as I can. . . .

Day One:

"Well, Casey, today was a bust," Bellatrix says, sighing as she lies down on the furs that Nyoka gave her before she left.

Casey remains quiet as he coils his body up, still floating above the ground.

"I mean, no one knew anything," she adds, pulling a thin sheet over herself. "The only imformation that I have gotten about Negi is that she lives an unusually long life, and she had many, many children. Not that they will be of any help to me. . . ." she ends.

"Theeeeeeeeeeeerree issssssssssssss allllwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayssssssssssssssssssssss toooooooooooooooomoooooooooooorrrroooooooooooooww," Casey points out.

"Yeah, but if I don't get some information, and soon, this whole trip will be a bust. The only thing I will get from it are well-toned muscles," she grumps.

Casey gives her a hissing chuckle, and reaches down to nudge her with his nose. "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeell, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaat leeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssst yoooooooooooooooooooooooooouu wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilll haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavvvvvvvvvvveee thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatt," he says.

Bellatrix chuckles and shakes her head. "Fine, smart a**. I am getting some rest," and with that, she pulls the cover of her head and closes her eyes. She soon slips off into the darkness of sleep.

Casey circles in the air arounnd Bellatrix. He doesn't need to sleep anymore, so he is acting as a guard. He will alert Bellatrix should anything dangerous come there way. . . .

So much to tell, and I think I am cutting my trip short because of it.

I now have a better understanding of who Negi was. And, perhaps why a certain kind of Guardian would have chosen her to live on.

Disregard what you might have read about snakes, because, though she exhibits some of those qualities, her mind worked in the way that some. . . . Further-evolved ones do.

Negi was manipulative, and had a dark nature. But, from what I have gathered, she was especially skilled at manipulation. She could get her fellow serpents to do whatever she wished them to do.

She was exceptionally. . . . devious, for lack of a better word. She would do anything to get to where she wanted to go, even sacrificing her fellow serpents, if it got her closer to her goal.

I also get the idea that Negi was very cunning. In anything that she did, any decieving, she was subtle about it, sometimes making the person she was decieving believe that is was THEIR idea to do whatever it is she wanted them to do.

Negi had an unusual, preditorial nature. She wouldn't kill just to eat, she would kill for the sport of it. She LIKED hunting, she liked seeing the fear in her prey's eyes, she liked feeling the light snuff out in them. She was also very, VERY territorial. You got no warning when you encroached on what she percieved as her property. She would kill you on sight.

In closing, I have found that she lived an unusually long life, and that she has many, many children around the isle. Some of them, I have gleaned this information from.

All in all, I have to say that she would be a snake that I would have loved to have met. But, I find myself a little unnerved by our similarities. I am left wondering whether or not I really AM my own person, or if everything about me is just Negi. . . . It is something that I have to admit I do not like to think about, but something that I know I will have to, anyway. I would like to think that I AM my own woman, that Negi had nothing to do with the way that I turned out. If she chose me, then I must have already exhibited some of the qualities that she was comfortable with, right?

The next time I speak to you, tape recorder, I will be in the comfort of my home, and I just might have a better handle on all of this. . . .
