Biohazard EXTREME Final Fantasy is no better than any other game series. And as such, (especially with 13 installments) it has and will have good and bad sequels as long as it exists. So don't put it on such a pedestal. There was absolutely nothing I've seen or read about FFXIII that will suggest that it's gonna have a good storyline. And that's a deciding factor in an RPG. i know its not better, never said it was

Well, I can't help it.
They need to bring back Character classes into Final Fantasy. Something like FF5. I loved how you could change your character's job type.

Yeah, it was kinda like that, except the really cool part is that there's 4 main characters, and each one had a distinctive look. But depending on the job you assign them, they'll have an outfit based on that job. So if your main hero is a black mage, he'll look like the main hero in a black mage outfit. And if your princess love interest is a knight, she'll still look like herself, but in a knight outfit. So the costumes were character specific. So if you want your whole party to be lancers, they'll all look different.

I tried FF4 for a bit, but didn't really get into it. I guess back in the day it was awesome, when it first came out.

I guess back in the day it was awesome, when it first came out. they werent real creative back in the day. seems like the first 3 or 4 games are about 4 warriors and crystals. lol ive played 1(psp) and 3,4. (ds)and i want to get 2.(psp)

FF5 was about 4 warriors and crystals, too. But that's when they actually had 4 real archetype characters with distinct personalities, and everything. Honestly, that's what I don't understand. They remade almost every old school final fantasy except for 5. And 5 was one of the best. I'd love to see an upgraded port of FF5 on the PSP.
