Dude-LAP J_DuBb15 Dude-LAP J_DuBb15 Dude-LAP J_DuBb15 yes i think the same thing with a small exception i mean if EVERYONE did it then it would be ok to compare 40 times with players that ran it in the past like how Chris Johnson ran a 4.24 and Jahvid Best ran a 4.33 id just take that Chris Johnson is a faster back. But for people like Taylor Mays that have poor coverage skills while playing safety but run a unofficial 4.24 to me that doesn mean you learned how to cover it just means youre fast and still cant cover hahaha haha, exactly, and Taylor Mays was actually the player I used as an example (because before the Giants signed Rolle, I was debating why the Giants should take Earl Thomas over Taylor Mays at #15). Mays is an athletic freak, and would of course do great on all the physical tests. But when it comes down to the draft, I'll take the better football player every time. oh yes Earl Thomas is the much better choice if you want a safety its not even a comparison to me Earl Thomas 8 ints last season Taylor Mays 5 in his whole 4 year career and then you can go deeper into conference and be like hmmm Earl thomas played against much better qbs and got more picks and taylor mays played against not so great qbs in the pass happy pac-10 and only came down with 5 picks 3 of em as a freshman He reminds me of Darnell Bing Big fast safety in college converted to lb in the nfl Dont get me wrong Mays prolly will be a safety somewhere at 1st til dat team gets tired of seein him out of position on plays where he should have a easy int Yep, Earl Thomas and Eric Berry were my two favorite possible first round draft choices for the Giants. That was before free agency, when I thought the Giants would make a run at Dansby (and maybe even Sharper too). Although signing Antrel Rolle was a good move, I'll have to shift my focus elsewhere. But nonetheless, both Thomas and Berry should be defensive stars in the NFL pretty soon... really Eric Berry to the Giants he would have 2 had run a 4.9 at the combine to drop that far haha he jus happens 2 be my fave player in the draft but i like Earl Thomas too I cuda saw Thomas in a giants jersey next to kenny phillips even tho im a redskin fan i wuda loved to watch that Yep, I was really hoping for a safety combo of Kenny Phillips and Earl Thomas. That would have been great. We could have also gone after Dansby and maybe even Sharper. And about Eric Berry, I was talking about getting him via trade-up. Had we not gotten Rolle and Berry fell far enough, a second rounder would have helped us move up... yea the combo of Earl Thomas and Kenny Phillips sounds nice o well geuss its Rolle and Phillips then still a good tandem idk if essentially using a 1st and a 2nd to get Eric Berry wud have been a smart move tho just doesnt seem worth it for a safety as much as i love him lol I kinda wanna see him go to the bucs tho along with Mardy Gilyard

Let's just hope that Phillips stays healthy... And I only would have traded up for Eric Berry if the Giants addressed MLB by signing Dansby. Since this draft is pretty deep at OL and DT, the remaining picks would have probably been productive as well. But I can't complain...At least the Giants made a splash in free agency (maybe more with Kirk Morrison?), and should have a nice draft this April. smile

BlueRam1409 I'm thinking of hosting a mock draft with users acting as representatives for the different teams. I would be acting as the Browns rep, but I still need 31 other users who know their team the best. I'm not talking fly-by fans, I need hardcore fanatics that know how to build a football team! (Exception for the Raiders, I don't think anyone can be as crazy as Al Davis.) At the moment, I'm thinking it will only be a first round thing. We may have multiple mocks, but the last one will be before the draft. I want to set a time limit for picks (so that we can keep moving) and I'm thinking of allowing 24 hours. Any takers? 1) Rams - IndianapolisColtsFan 2) Lions 3) Buccaneers - The Ginger Dude 4) Redskins - J_DuBbl5 5) Chiefs 6) Seahawks 7) Browns - BlueRam1409 8 ) Raiders 9) Bills 10) Jaguars 11) Broncos (from Bears) 12) Dolphins - Best_jerker_alive-216 13) 49ers - KTS 14) Seahawks (from Broncos) 15) Giants - Dude-LAP 16) Titans 17) 49ers (from Panthers) - KTS 18 ) Steelers - rio_kid 19) Falcons - Sayo-nii 20) Texans - Guy_Vinyard101 21) Bengals 22) Patriots - Perfext 23) Packers - Da Big Ram 24) Eagles -Capt Pilsberry 25) Ravens 26) Cardinals 27) Cowboys - God of Baseball 28 ) Chargers - go platypus go 29) Jets - Saverio C 30) Vikings - Oreion 31) Colts - Sheriff Dustin 32) Saints - The Ginger Dude 17/32 spots filled ill take ravens sence eagles are gone

I havent seen anything on that All the recent injury reports have Kenny Phillips ahead of schedule in his recovery. Hopefully that's true. He stated that he should be 100% by the time mini-camp opens. Don't know how valid that will prove to be, but we can just hope for the best. His career was said to possibly be in jeopardy by some, since it's a knee problem that could remain a long-term injury. As for Kirk Morrison, no, nothing has happened yet. It's just a possibility that makes a lot of sense.

One way or another, the Giants have to address the middle linebacker position before the start of the season. And my gut tells me that Phillips will stay healthy, and will be great playing alongside Rolle.

J_DuBb15 yoo dont we need 2 be starting this soon? Sadly, it doesn't look like this thread will work out. Maybe I'll post a guild-member first round mock draft contest later this week or something...
