Anywho....both songs are great,though I tend to lean towards Just Like Heaven. rolleyes

I know the poll is already done but I would like to tell mine too smile
I think Just Like Heaven is the better of the two. I love Lovesong and the feel of it and how well it goes with a dark album but Just Like Heaven is just.. amazing. When you hear it your like "This is The cure". I dont know though both of them are very special for me.

Didn't some modern alt. rock band do some quasi-atrocious cover of "Lovesong"? I seem to vaguely remember something like that...
Not that that is the reason why I'd choose "Just Like Heaven" over "Lovesong"; of course not.

Wow, that's a tough question. JLH is like so happy-ish and makes me want to dance, but it's so depressing too. It's like when you're in a realtionship that you know won't really last, but you charge in there anyway. And Love SOng is so classic, and heart wrenchign and Robert does such an amazing job with it. I can't pick!
The 311 cover isn't so bad. Yes, the vocals suck, btu nobody but Smith can get it that good. The sort of surfer groove adds a nice dimesion to it, and some of the chording is better in the 311 version. All in all, though The Cure>311
