kikimaru walked past the tower and sighed. "I wonder what it's like to be the mizakage? Is it hard? Does she have to make a lot of hard dicisions? Like, who are out allies and enemies? does she have to think about every member in the village?"

User Image Mana took the letter from her and flipped it open. When he finished he looked up at the ninja he had at his disposal for the time. "So, Mizukage-sama handed ya ova ta me fer now, eh? Hmph." He picked up his water bottle and took a drink before continuing. "Ya gat a name girly?"

User Image
Yagi Endo
"Yes sir!" Yagi said, straightening up from her relaxed position. "My name is Yagi Endo." She said, straightening her headband. She smiled at him. "At your service, Sir." She said, grinning at him. She wondered what she was going to do. She thought about being his little lacky, or maybe a construction worker. She was fine with anything. It was a ninja's job and thats all that mattered.

User Image "Good ta meetcha, Yagi. Ya'ready know my name so I ain't gonna botha sayin' it." He pointed to a beam that supported a pulley. The rope was broken but had snagged on the pulley wheel, there was a bolt that was loose and it was just barely holding up a bundle of planks. The planks were all tied together securely and held in the air by the rope on the pulley that had snapped. Mana pulled out a few screws, screw driver and looked over to one of his men. He made a loud whistle to get his attention. "OI! HIDEKI! GIMME 'AT ROPE!" he called out. The man pulled the coiled rope that hung from his belt off and flung it at Mana, who caught it with ease. He held the items out to Yagi. "Take 'ese 'n fix 'at. Replace tha rope with this un n' tie it to the one 'at's round those planks. Clear?" It would be a dman shame if she didn't fix it in time. Plus he'd be pretty pissed.

User Image
Yagi Endo
Yagi nodded "Clear!" She said and took the supplies. They were heavy, but she held them up sucessfully. She climbed up the side of the pillar and flung herself onto it and strattled it, sitting with her legs wrapped safely around the pillar. She examined the pully. Hmm.. She thought. She analyzed how the pully was, and its condition. She wondered which she should fix first.. The rope, or the screw? She thought. If I fix the rope from the pully first, then it will fall and the rope will snap before i can get the other one tied. But, if i fix the screw first, it would let the rope loose and it could snap. She stratched her head. EPIFANY! she thought. She hopped off the pillar and landed in cat stance on the ground. She flung the rope around the planks and tied it securely. She pulled on the rope gently, not to disturb the pulley in any way. She tied the rope around herself to make sure that the planks dont fall. Yagi hoisted herself back up onto the pillar and sad strattled once again. She could feel the planks getting heavier and the rope straining. She worked fast. She used her headband to push the hair out of her eyes. Yagi took the screwdriver out of her pocket and unscrewed the bolt. She knew the rope was snagged on the pully and when she took the bolt out the rope stayed. The strain of the rope around her waiste was getting heavier as she unscrewed it. Suddenly, the rope snapped, and that out Yagi in a bad position. the pillars were heavier than she immagined. Yagi was taught in the academy to stay calm no matter what, so she clinged to the pillar and thought for the moment she had. She had an idea. She focused her chakra to her hands and through her arms and shoulders. She used that strength to pull the pillars with her arms and body. She scooted closer to the pully and untied the rope with one hand while holding it with a chakra enfused other hand. Yagi removed what was leftover from the other rope and then pulled the new rope int othe pully. She held it in with her chakra enfused hand and screwed in a new bolt with the other. She had to hurry, She was losing chakra. Her arm felt weaker and she felt the ropes slipping. She finished screwing in that bolt and switched hands to hold it with. Yagi tugged on the rope to make sure it would stay and she finally let go. She pulled on the other side of the rope to make sure the pully worked rite. It did. She hopped off of the pillar, and although it took about a half an hour, she trotted over to Mana. "All done, Sir." She said and pointed to the new and improved pully. She grinned and gave him a thumbs up.

User Image Mana had been hammering nails into place, but looked up when Yagi finally returned. 'Took'er long enough.' he muttered in his head. But to her he said, "A'right," he made the last strike on the nail in the wood and ran his now free hand through his hair, trying to think of what else he needed done. He looked down to the floor underneath him. Well all the walls of the first through fifth floors were done, and he did have an order of paints waiting to be picked up. He looked at his watch to check the time. 'Yea, I gatta send sum'un ova 'ere soon.' He looked back up at Yagi. "Go ta tha village gate, 'ere should be an old man with a huge crate of paints. Get 'at, sign fer it an' brig it 'ere. Yu'll be takin' care a the first fi'e floor's paint jabs." He turned back to his own work, assuming, at this point he didn't need to check to see if a ninja understood their assignment.

Takeru walked into the construction site, looked up at the man, and yelled, ridiculously loud, "HEY! I'M HERE, NOW WHAT!"

He absently began kicking pieces of rubble at targets he made up for himself, like empty paint cans and such.

User Image Mana glared down at the boy. "Took ya long enough!" he spat. He had a fair number of good workers, though he still needed another pair of hands, hence why he gave the Mizukage this mission request. But so far, good help wasn't coming anywhere near his way. This kid didn't look like he'd be much better, but beggers can't be choosers. At least he was there."Go ta a't shed ova there." he said, pointing to a shed just a little ways away. "There's a huge crate'a paints inside. Get tha sapphire blue paint cans n' brushes. Yu'll be takin' care a the first fi'e floors' paint jabs. Make sure ya grab tha white sheets in 'ere ta lay 'em out on tha floor, so ya don' spill paint."

Inside the structure, all the walls of the first five floors were finished aside from their paint jobs and a few other details that would be taken care of by the decoraters that were coming in a few days. But they'd said it would be best if they at least got at least that much of the paint job done before hand. Yeah, it was a lot of work for one kid, but who cared. Besides, this kid was a ninja right? He could handle it. And it would be pretty hard for him to screw up when all the walls that were to be painted were marked with a huge 'X,' the same color blue as the paint buckets. Well, why should he have his men waste their efforts painting when there were more important things to be done?

Kikimaru arrived shortly at the building and looked around. The building seems to be coming along nicely. She thought to herself. "Now, where is this guy the Mizukage told me to find?" She pondered as she walked around the building. She stood at the front and sighed, looking up at the tall building.

User Image "YO! YOU KIKIMARU?" came a voice from above. A construction worker, the head, Mana sat on one of the window sills of the third floor. All had been completed fully aside from the interior. It made the place look pretty damn ugly, but it looked better than it did when it had blown up. He seemed pretty relaxed. Truth was, he was one of the only people still hanging around. He was there because he was incharge of the whole shebang here, and waiting on the people hired to decorate the interior later on that day. There was just one thing he needed done before they arrived, and who better to get the job done quickly than a ninja, right?

Kikimaru blinked and looked up at the man. "You must be Mana then?" She called back. "The Lady Mizukage sent me here, do you have a job for me?" She asked him, her annoyane with the Mizukage getting worse and worse. Solo mission, yeah right. There's nothing about this "mission" that seemed very dangerous. She sighed and scratched her head. "Okay, what do you want me to do first?"
PostPosted: Wed Aug 04, 2010 12:43 pm

User Image "Yup. Whatcha need ta do, is see at stack a' paint buckets o'er 'ere!" he pointed down at the ground beside the building. There was a massive stack of paint buckets, all the same color. "Use 'at paint on e'ry wall 'at's marked with a blue 'S' n' ONLY where it's marked." This was obviously a D-Rank mission, but a mission all the same. Not every mission Mist got required risking one's neck, but they needed to be done just as much as all others. "An' 'is needs ta be done quickly. First three floors're a'ready done. Ya just gat tha last four ta do. Gat it?"
