"Yeah, guys," Stryphe said, calling out to everyone, "I suggest we do get moving as quickly as possible. We don't know if that thing called for backup or what."

He tossed his head from side to side, cracking his neck.

"And I don't want to be hit by another surprise missile, frankly."

((Robot is down. The core is a bronze sphere, about the size of a basketball.))

Owle Isohos

PostPosted: Sat Dec 17, 2005 2:39 pm

((Alright...I'm not sure where everyone is, so I'm going to assume I can see everyone, or at least Sey and Alber.))

An unusually large black cat crested the hilltop. Though it seemed a domestic short hair, it was nearly the size of a panther. Any who sensed auras and knew Owle Isohos would recognize its spirit as that of the shapeshifter.

The cat's great green eyes fell on Sey, and the man who carried her in his arms. A flood of emotions came to her; she liked Sey, and had been worried about her. Flare had told her as much. So Owle had to keep her safe...

Hi, Miss Sey. Boy, do you look worn out, Owle sent to the white mage. The familiar touch of her mind on the priestess's might seem somehow wrong to Sey, though...Owle was going further, probing deeper than she ever had before, even when her powers were not under her full control. The snakes that were Owle's telepathic power curled around Sey's mind, drawing upon her fatigue to make her fall into a gentle sleep. If they accomplished their task, then there they remained, making sure the white mage would stay slumbering while Owle did what she had to do.

((I don't think Sey has much of a chance of resisting this, given how tired she is already. sweatdrop If for some reason Sey's mind is guarded against Owle's now, I'll edit my post.))

(( Thanks 'paj... cleanup on aisle 2. ))

James kicked aside a bit of wreckage, sifting through it as looked towards the crowd gathering around Sey... that girl was like a rock. If it didn't kill her outright, she always seemed to be able to shout about it, which meant she was just fine.

After a minute or so of searching, James found what he assumed was the goal of this venture, and dusted it off with a handkerchief that he pulled from his pocket.

"...this looks like it."

He held it up in one hand, looking at it in the light... then tucked it under one arm, climbing out from the rubble and heading back towards the fallen white mage.

Flare stayed hovering far above the hilltop as she approached. She was holding a nice large bit of fire energy in her hands, and just waiting for a target...

Taking a look around, keeping his eyes open for anything hostile, allen noticed something a little weird. and just had to comment, point towards it.

"Hey, guys, there's a big black cat up there. Someone might want to take care of it."

Truewind glided up to the crest, checking and rechecking his protections. Careful not to disturb her, he wove the net of his wind magic around Owle, then called down the wind spirit floating above their heads.

You're injured. he admonished the tiny, golden-skinned man. Shrugging, Ender returned to his place inside the pocket of Truewind's jacket.

"Miss Owle?" Sey said, her voice perking up as her eyes blinked open. She looked around, eager to see her once more. She was getting reunited with everyone again! It was so grand... But... She was getting sleepy...?

"Miss... Miss O...wle?" Her vision was getting hazy and in the corners of her mind she felt His presence. This wasn't right! She tried to fight it but it seems the more she did, the sleepier she got. Struggling against Alber's hold, Sey flailed weakly and then was enraptured in slumber, but not before she could mumble something once more.

"I don't... wanna... gotosleep..."

Stryphe had never sensed any sort of shapeshifter, so even if he had thought to use his sixth sense, he would not have known what the panther-looking animal was. All he did was look at it, not being far from Sey, and probably closer to the animal than Sey and Alber were, since Stryphe was still at the top of the hill.

Odd, that it would be in a place like this...

"Get out of here, you," He said to it, "this isn't the place for you."

And what was Sey going on about? Owle was here?

Alber looked over to see newcomers. "Hey! Get away from here!" he shouted at the cat. He wasn't about to trust anything right now.

He began approaching the feline, his blade at the ready, still locked.

"Owle? Isohos?" He questioned as she began to fall alsleep, "What about Isohos? Sey, don't go to sleep. Tell me about Isohos."

But she was gone.

"Cat?" He turned to Allen, "What cat. Show me where the cat is."

James sauntered over towards the group... just soon enough to hear Sey mutter sleepy words about Owle. Which, as far as he could gather, was a mixed blessing...

"Sey? Are you alright?" He knealt down beside her, setting the sphere down upon the ground and pulling a folded piece of cloth from the inside of his coat. He set the sphere down in the crook of Sey's arm, then covered them both with the sheet.

"Everyone be careful... something's up."

Without hesitation, he took the two green boxes out from the briefcase and set them beside Sey, one near her head, and one near her feet. Then he took the two remotes and put them in his pockets so that he would know where they were and be able to reach them. Finally, he shut the briefcase, and began to walk back to where he had set the other one.

Owle Isohos

The cat suddenly became a startled looking young woman, backing away from the drawn blade and holding her empty hands out before her. Her long, tangled hair was blue, her arms and calves splattered with armored scales, and her eyes a lighter brown, but her face was still undeniably Owle's. Stryphe should recognize her; she knew his name. And the winged man, Allen. And James Black! He was here, too!

And Abel...she owed him something. Something precious.

"Calm down...please," Owle said, continuing to back away slowly, hoping they'd listen.

((Sorry, Miss Sey. It was either I take you out or Flare did. sweatdrop ))

"...you guys go take care of them, if they're a threat. I'll stay here and guard Sey."

Then he turned up towards the hill, recognizing the girl as Owle. And smiling somewhat.

"Yo, Owle, you aren't thinking of attacking us, are you?"

And Sey slumbered on, dreaming of cute black haired, green eye'd babies... Or brown haired, red eye'd babies... Or black hair'ed grey eye babies...
