Valter had been at the party for all of two minutes, but he was already bored. He was never that great with social occasions. He wanted to leave, but he was there for a reason. He hadn't had any social interaction in quite a while, and he knew that was a problem he had to remedy. Besides, you actually like these people, the wyvern knight admitted to himself.

So, being a man of action, Valter took off into the crowd, looking for somebody to start a conversation with. In a matter of seconds, fortune shined upon him, and he felt a tiny smile reach his mouth. Sue had been his friend for a very long time, and she was probably the person he felt most comfortable talking to. So naturally, after spotting her at this dreary (in his opinion, at least) occation, he found his way to her side.

"Sue! How have you been?"

all our tribesman banding together against our invaders!

~)Sue(~

User ImageBefore Sue could bring herself to look further into the relationship (that even looked forced by the way Kishuna was embarrassing Ephraim) between the Prince and the Morph, she heard a voice that hadn't come to her in a while. When she looked up, the nomad girl's expression gave a surprised look, before she gave the proper Host Club bow. "Welcome Valter! It's great to see you're well! Would you like anything to eat... or something good to drink? Or maybe you just want to catch up on things..."

Grinning, the nomad quickly came up from the bow. She wanted to be the one to initiate the conversation for once, as it had always been other people. She wanted to show that there was indeed more to nomad speech than silence. "So, what have you been doing as of late? Are you still working as a mercenary? I run a nice bow shop a few streets down from Eyris Castle. I know it's not your weapon of choice, but if you know anyone who'd like a nomad-made bow, tell them to come."

Boy, that was a lot of talking she did. Sue couldn't help but be relaxed though, they were at a party for Father Sky's sake! And actually talking to people didn't feel quite bad at all.

Levail studied the boy. He looked innocent enough except for that one last statement. "That wasn't very good of you to do something like that. You should be a gentleman at a party my good lad." Levail explained as he held up a finger and went on, "If your a gentleman your more a likely to be respected. Which means first off take off that scowl and smile a little. It's a party."

(( ... I say it had to be done. ))

Akihi raised an eyebrow. Amara was part of the reason why he wasn't dancing? "... What did she do?" He asked softly, a worried expression crossing over his face.

Amara, meanwhile, held back the biggest gasp of her life. What was Kishie doing to her big brother Ephie? It wasn't fair! Not fair, not fair, not fair! She let out a tiny little "hmph" and stormed away dramatically, leaving the two to their kiss.

The first person she saw was, of course, her uncle Aki. Her eyes brightened slightly as she skipped back over to him, proceeding to latch onto his leg. "Uncle Aki~!"

"... Huh?" The mage looked down, cracking a slight smile when he saw the rather familiar child clinging to him. "What are you--"

"Uncle Aki, what's it like to kiss someone?" She asked with a twinge of child-like curiosity and innocence.

Akihi's face turned bright red in the span of around three seconds. "... What."

"Hey, so you finally came around Valter...how ya been since we last saw you?" It had been quite sometime since Ziaram last saw Valter, yet he still remembered the Wyvern Knight fairly well...seeing as it was Valter that he had reminded of the fact that others needed help when Eyris had been taken over quite sometime ago. Well this was a place to socialize, and what better way to do it than by catching up with people you haven't seen in a while. Sure seemed like an excellent way to spend your time at a party, especially for Ziaram since he wasn't much of a dancer, and ever since Halloween, he wasn't much of a partier, yet this one he chose to come to since it was a festive time.

"I'm..responsible? R-Really now" of all things Kishuna had to ask for was a dance out on the open floor! He wouldn't mind it..if other people were there..but to the prince's eyes, there were only a good couple or two on the dance floor. He was still minding Amara who was clinging to him like a little sister who had a huge brother complex.

B-Boyfriend!? Did he just really say that in front of- oh for the love of all that is good. Kishuna's arm came around his waist, pulling him close despite the little girl that was clinging to him. Next came a hand on the back of his neck and the next thing he realized he was in a lip lock situation with Kishuna...IN FRONT OF A FOUR YEAR OLD.

...His mind went blank and he completly spaced out. If you looked close enough, for sure you could see some sort of spirit floating out from the top of his head after what the hell just happened. The only thing he could hear was something or someone storming off.

After a good 20 seconds or so, Ephraim pulled himself back to reality and immedietly gripped the collar of Kishuna's shirt and shook him "H-HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING???" he shouted, hiding the fact that he was red all over. "S-She's only four years old! And your going to kiss me in front of her? You liar! You said you weren't going to embarrass me!!" after a few more moments of rambling to the morph, Ephraim finally calmed down on his nerves. What's done was done..but for now, Amara probably wouldn't 'want to come near the two...after that little....EVENT.

However, Ephraim couldn't stay mad at Kishuna. He could grumble and mutter all he wanted but hatred would never work against the morph. He sighed, giving up on rambling any further and plopped his head on Kishuna's shoulder, hiding his face for a bit.

Lyre returned the hug from Amelia, glowing with happiness. She was just... well, happy. Lethe wasn't glowering at everyone, and there wasn't any evil villain in sight. She had to giggle at her sister's refusal to wear shoes, though- but they were quite different from wearing combat boots or simply going barefoot all the time. She whirled around at Tibarn's voice, which took her by surprise.

"Oh. Hello, Tib. Yep, she finally made it here! I had to make her promise to come out and socialize though, she's actually been here for a bit but she was really stubborn about getting along with the locals..."

Lyre had come a long way in her feelings about the Hawk King. Her growing attachment to his young daughter had a lot to do with it- she spent a lot of time babysitting Vah, and the little girl had pulled her right into her family structure. She couldn't help but feel that Ayra still held very hostile feelings towards her, but at least the two of them weren't at each others throats any longer. She poked a finger at the hawk's chest.

"And where have you run off to lately, anyway?" She quickly dismissed the question with a wave of her hand, before waiting for an answer. The thin strands of sparkling black lace wound around her wrists glittered in the dimming light.

"Where's my darling Vah? She was looking forward to a dance with her daddy tonight, or so she told me that last time I saw her."

As a small flash of red returned to latch onto her uncle, Joshua laughed both at her question and at Akihis response, normally Joshua would have just tried to distract the girl with a coin trick, but somehow he got the feeling it wouldn't work this time. A quick glance at where Amara had been solved the mystery of why the topic had been brought up.

"Yes Akihi? How does kissing feel?" Joshua joked, "Well I'm going to let you handle this Akihi! Good luck!" He kneeled back down to Amaras height and looked at her. "Try not to cause too much trouble for your Uncle alright?" And with that Joshua was gone letting Akihi deal with a young girl.

He headed towards the bar figuring he'd get good and drunk---- but HOLY HELL WHO WAS THAT?!

Joshua’s first reaction was to grab for his sword, but it wasn't there... then he noticed that the man was talking to Sue and Ziaram.

It was him, Valter

The b*****d who along with Calleach had burned down his home, and he was chatting, Chatting with the cute girl who had blown him off without even realizing it.

Wasn't he supposed to be dead? So many things were wrong with the fact that he was here. His hat doing little to hide the rage on his face he walked back up to Valter and Co. and leaned into Valters face

"You should be dead. How did you get here. Why are you talking with my friends like what you did was nothing. Answear me before I finish the job that Cormag started! You set Jehanna Hall on fire and killed my friends... women, children all was fair game for you. Give me one reason why I shouldn't strangle you with my bare hands." Joshuas happy demeanor was gone... all trace of the man who smiled while tossing a coin had vanished, in its place was anger like he'd never felt.... not even Calleach had gotten him this angry, as with Calleach it had been all buisness, but Valter, Valter was a psycho path who killed for pleasure. "I killed Calleach... I know I did... if you're here does that mean he's here?" Joshua tried to keep his voice calm and level, but it didn't happen his voice was almost shaking with anger.

Then he suddenly pulled back, "No, I won't do this here besides, I still don’t know who actually set fire to my home, Its a party... and despite what you've done I won't wreck the others night. But I want you to answer me one thing, why are you here." His hands shook with rage as he spoke, didn’t Sue and Ziaram know how evil this man truly was?

"I'm just here to catch up. I've already eaten," Valter answered his friend. He was surprised when Sue went on to ask about him, and even went on to tell him about herself. He didn't remember her being this talkative. It was by no means unpleasant, though.

The grin on Valter's face grew into a full-blown smile as he responded to the nomad. "Yeah, I'm still a mercenary. That's been taking up most of my time, but, as you can see, I was able to make room for this... occasion. Enough about that, though. I'm glad to hear you're starting your own business. How is it working out?"

Right then, somebody else came up and started talking to him. Still listening to Sue's response, he gave Ziaram a short answer. "Oh, hey. I'm not too bad."

Before he could elaborate, however, the red-headed king stormed up to the knight, interrupting the rest of the group as well. The swordsman then started yelling into his face, which would have made just about anybody angry. Not him, though. Even before his humiliating deafeat, Valter knew that letting emotion dictate his thoughts and actions would lead to certain death. So he took it in stride, retaining his cool composure on both the inside and the outside.

"Joshua, King of Jehanna. You really want to fight me? I have the advantage in every way, and you know it. Fighting me now would be suicide." When Joshua backed off, Valter replied to his question. "I've been here for a long time. These people are my friends. Surprised? Well, you should be. I'm not the Valter you think you know. It's true, I killed your countrymen. And I don't regret it. But Caellach is the one that killed your family, destroyed your home. So of course I am to blame, but Caellach is the one you're looking for."
PostPosted: Sat Jan 02, 2010 7:13 pm

Before Ziaram could reply to Valter, Joshua just had to come up in an angry storm, and demand lots from him. "Joshua you don't under-" Hold the phone...Valter had done what now? Set Jehanna hall on fire, killed people...turning to look at Valter to see what he would say, he shook his head. "Joshua, this is different now. Learania is a place we come to have a new start. I mean sure we have differences, yet Valter has actually been here to help us out more than harm us. We all have our dark pasts, yet that is behind us. Like you said, this is a party. We all have problems with people, yet you can't let that blind you here." Although he had said all of that to defend Valter, he was still stunned about what Joshua had said. The way Valter was here...there seemed to be no way that was true, yet then he flashed back to fights he had seen Valter in...he would go to no end to finish his opponent off. That bit seemed to make what Joshua said more understandable, yet once again this was Learania...he had to let the past go for now.

His Uncle the shotabard had given him permission. Sweet~

Roy took the drink in his hands and raised the mug up. "Cheers...for the upcoming New Year. May my Uncles have an excellent wedding, with no problems occurring during it. And for everyone's health to be excellent." the young lord said.

He then nodded to Victoria, Mel, his Uncles, and the other person that had joined their group. He then downed the watered-down alcohol in one go before setting the glass down.

"Could have been a little stronger, but oh well." he said, shaking his head.

what was this here, it looked like a party in this house over here. the lights where bright so caellach went in and looked around. he didn't reconize anyone except then he saw a man with red hair and a sword yelling at some guy with really big hair and eyeliner and he knew who that was, it was valter and josua. so he went over and waved his axe at johua "hey i was there too why don't you yell at me"

“We beat you once Valter, I could do it again on my own don’t push me… Ziaram seems to trust you… so I’ll work with you for now… but you’ll have to earn my forgiveness which is something you’ll never get” To make matters worse Valter had gone and spilled his secret… in front of everyone

While Joshua was grilling Valter a familiar voice came from behind him, dramatically and slowly turning Joshua looked into the eyes of Calleach, the surprise lasted half a second before Joshua struck.

"Yell at this!" He roared as his fist plunged into Calleachs nose. A wonderful crunching sound could be heard as the fist connected with unsuspecting flesh with the full force of all his weight behind it not only that but it was his left hand he hit with so the ring slammed into his face as well, Joshua would be very surprised if he hadn't broken the mans nose.

Getting low and close to prevent Calleach from using the axe he'd brought to a party that wasn't supposed to have any weapons, he wrapped his arms around the larger mans thick waist and using a lower core and his legs Joshua pushed forward sending the man off-balance and pushing him back into the bar his hat flying off his head and landing on the ground.

"You sonofabitch! You killed my mother! You're the one set fire to my home! What the hell are you doing still alive! I'll kill you again!" He yelled at the scum as he pulled away from Calleach sending another fist the Hero's way, if someone didn't stop Joshua now there would be no stopping the Swordmaster later.

So far, everything was running smoothly in the party. There was no fighting (minus the verbal fights and one fight from where Valter was standing). There was no kidnapping (or else, Rath would bring in the guards in every future party). And best of all, there was no villain to disturb their peace and happiness.

The paladin was a bit surprised when she saw Ephraim being kissed by another guy, especially the same guy she meant during the Tura incident. However, she didn't want to interrupt their movement. It was not her place to tell them not to create a scene. They didn't break any rules.

However, seeing them being together somehow made Isadora a bit lonely. It was nice being around with friends and family. But what the paladin wished for was to have a companion to share with. She was still unsure what happened to Harken nor planned of finding out what happened to him. She had made her decision to move on with her life. Not only that, but she was also sorting out her feelings about a certain person. A certain bishop she had in mind recently.

Ever since the Tura incident, the paladin was trying to figure out her feelings whenever she had the time. Was it a fluke she had these feelings when she thought she was about lose someone dear to her? Or was it just her imagination?

As the paladin trying to sort out her feelings while looking out the balcony scene, she saw something blur passed by. Isadora blinked and looked back. There was nothing there, but the door to the balcony was opened.

"Strange..." Isadora said as she walked to the balcony and closed the door. She didn't want anyone to get cold from the draft. However, she couldn't figure out how did the door open.

"Hmm.... I guess it must be one of the servants who left the shutting improperly." Isadora spoke before turning her attention back to the party.

User ImageRajin huffed a little as he leaned against the pillar. Damn those guards for not letting him in. And all because he was just wearing a black cloak with his hood over his head. It wasn't his fault that he didn't want to draw attention to him. And wasn't this party open for EVERYONE?

It wasn't like he was planning to cause a riot in the party.... Well, that was IF some idiot tried to pick a fight at him. Besides, he only came here because there was nothing else for him to do around in Eyris. The tiger was still waiting for the auditor to come and make a deal with him. And when he heard about the party, he thought he might as well see what was going on.

Able to catch his wind after running away from the guards and climbing up the balcony, Rajin stood up and joined into the party. There were mostly beorc everywhere in fancy clothes. The tiger didn't expect the party to be formal (not to mention, he had less money to afford a suit.)

"Huh, should have known this party was too fancy for me." Rajin muttered himself as he strolled over to the buffet table. Picking up a piece of hor dourves, Rajin scanned the area one more time.

He could see the drunken captain that he had fought before, chatting with his Watch members. Well, he hoped he didn't remember his face. Afterall, he didn't came here for a fight. He also saw that red-headed swordsman in a heated argument with two men. Did that swindler know them well? Or he was just trying to pick a fight blindly?

Suddenly, his ruby eyes laid on the scene before him. Right in front of him was the Hawk King, having a conversation with two cat laguz. If he remembered earlier about the cat laguz, it must be Lethe and Lyre that the jeweler spoke of.

Rajin's lips curled up in a smirk as he observed the cat laguz. Somehow, seeing them dressed like beorc women amused him. Why did they dress like that? He was unsure. However, he couldn't help but grinned like a Cheshire cat.

"Well, I guess the party isn't boring after all." He purred mischeivously as his tail swung back and forth. After finishing eating the hor dourves, Rajin strolled over to the pillar and leaned back. His eyes still lingered on the cat laguz like a predator watching the prey from afar. He could go over and introduced himself to the laguz. However, after his encounter with Tibarn, Rajin had a feeling that the Hawk King would not be pleased to see him. Take your time, Rajin. He thought to himself as he crossed his arms. There's no need to hurry. Let time takes its course and seize it when opportunity arrives.

I'm gonna try to just throw the lot of them in, and see how much I can keep up with...

Really, it seemed like he had little place amongst the hustle and bustle around the bar. Not only was he underage (and he would never hear the end of it, if he decided to give in to such disgusting urges), those he would have enjoyed the company of around the bar were clearly busy. FD was beginning to down the drinks and socializing, Nils would surely be right there near him. Sue was relaxing with Valter, the man he'd watched that odd fight with back during the autumn. And then Rhys and Amelia were across the large room, socializing with an entirely different group. Sure, he could butt into a conversation, but each partygoer seemed rather bogged down, as it was.

So, the Druid took his leave of the bar, and made his way to a more remote corner of the massive room. He tried to relax, to just soak in the festive atmosphere. Rei reclined in a chair, taking relaxed, deep breaths as he closed his eyes. Sure, he could head home, ditch the party, and spend some time reading, but the rest of the Host Club, especially the dragon twins, wouldn't let that happen on their lives. But, the thought of twins made him think of his own adopted pair. Abigail and Wesley... just what were they doing, tonight? Had they left the little lair and taken a night out on the town? Or were they sound asleep in their beds? Ugh, he was only a few years older than the pair, and he was taking a parental role to them. And it was just so fun, too...

Oh, how could he be late for such a formal affair? The local Host Club was holding a party to herald the new year, and what was he doing? Not being there, of course. Quite the deplorable choice of action, if he could say so himself. A proper noble as himself, regardless of how much weight that held, should always attend these gatherings! So, when the Ranger's confident strides led him to the doorway to the manor, he couldn't help but smile a smug little smirk.

Sure, he was with the Hostess Club. And they were self-proclaimed rivals. But honestly, he didn't care. He could always say he was scoping out the competition, sizing them up for their ultimate downfall. Chances are, the boss would believe that. He'd heard that the woman was a bit out there, at times.

As much as the nobleman was tempted to partake of a few fine drinks, he knew that the moment he did so, Dietrich would appear out of nowhere and not only drink himself under the table, but make a fool of himself while he was doing it. Arashe was more the type to be on the other end of the room, laughing at that little happenstance, more than he'd be likely to join in. But now that he'd stumbled upon Dietrich during the last formal get-together, he didn't want to take his chances. If he'd run into the man, he'd do it when he would have the upper hand, not when the bohemian would appear out of thin air...

But, before his irritation towards Dietrich's entrances could further manifest itself in his mind, the Ranger's eyes spotted quite the pair, amongst the unimportant dullards. King Tibarn of Phoenicis, for one. Husband of the fabled Lady Ayra, both of which were "Crewmembers", whatever in the world that meant. Arashe assumed it meant that they held power in the political structure of Learania. The king of a nation of skyfaring Hawks and the princess of a nation of master swordsmen would surely have their share of pull, if only on their might alone. But, alongside Tibarn was Lyre, a Cat Laguz that worked alongside him in the Hostess Club. The pair knew each other? Great!

With a slight chuckle, Arashe walked towards the laguz pair, giving them a slight wave. "Well, then, I never expected to meet the both of you in one place, especially a party!" He extended a hand for Tibarn to shake, before continuing to speak. "So how do the two of you know each other?"

Why was he here?

Really, why was he here? He hardly knew anyone! Ever since he'd been thrown into this new land, he was absolutely overwhelmed! The only people he even vaguely knew were... Marina, that gender-ambiguous stoic with a spear. Annis, the Raven Lagus with a penchant for thievery and daggers. And then that Akihi person, another mage. Needless to say, when Akihi had seen Sephas's skills in a rather obscure branch of magic, he was thrilled. So, he knew the mage slightly better than he did the others he had encountered.

But, no sense in dwelling on memory while in a party! Sephas wasn't one for formal wear, so he wore the same thing he wore all the time. Heck, maybe some people would see it as exotic, when it was really just a shirt, shoes, and pants. People were weird, after all.

The Geomancer's unsure steps took him wandering around the room, glancing upon each cluster of friends. Needless to say, he was feeling surely left out. A group at the bar, laughing it up. A group of laguz, obviously doing their own thing. A few recluses, and... huh, what do you know. Next to a little red-headed girl was that man he knew, Akihi. Unexpected, to say the least. Surely he wouldn't mind helping a familiar face... right?

Sephas walked cautiously across the room, giving Akihi a sheepish wave. "H-hey... You're Akihi, right...?"

And now, as a wonderful addendum to a select few's inability to keep a social RP peaceful...

He couldn't relax, even when everyone else was, could he? By the looks of things, a pair of idiots were causing trouble with Valter. Sure, he didn't know the man too well, but what he had seen hardly showed any sort of ill intent. The pair were both redheads, one wiry and lithe, the other larger and more muscular. Didn't stop the smaller one from... punching the other square in the face. Idiots, the lot of them...

With a sigh, Rei pushed himself from his oh-so-comfortable chair, and began to walk with an air of absolute fury towards the ensuing scuffle. If he'd learned anything from the past, it was to always carry a bit of 'light reading' to any sort of social gathering. With a slight groan, Rei pulled out the pitch-black Erebus tome, casually flipping to the middle of the pages as he approached Valter and the redhaired idiot couple.

Again, he sighed, quite audibly. "...you know, we don't take very kindly to cutthroats ruining the ever-so-fleeting peace..." He decided to be a little showy for once, and pump a little bit of magical energy, making himself emanate a faint purple aura. "Now children, either kiss and make up- Not literally, either, I don't want to see that..." He rolled his eyes, apathetic to what was going on around him. "Or you can both get out, and duke it out in the fields." Rei made a shooing motion with his hand, aiming it towards the door. "But a warning. Should you decide to continue this little bout, it will end beyond painfully, for the both of you. Got it?" ...Rei loved being a powerful Druid. Sure, he was young, so it held back a little on the intimidation, but if he wanted to, he could definitely give a hellish light show to the partygoers...
