"I see." Hitori nodded. "I guess we will go with you, it seems the safest place." she said, licking his face before rising. "But i will let you know, i will have to have Gwen,Mello, and Roger sleeping with me.. along with the pups. They're young and i dont want them to be scared of being alone."

Santiago nodded in agreement, following his mate back to the den. The little ones were wrestling around and sleeping, oblivious of what was to come. Santiago sighed and said, "Alright guys, listen up, all of the little ones are coming with Tori and I back to the rat burrow. Spectrum and Reinbow, you guys are going to stay here where the den will keep you safe. We've gotta move quickly now," With that, he picks up the babies and puts them in the basket, setting it at Tori's feet before picking up Ray by the scruff with his teeth.

Santiago waits for his mate and when they are side by side, they head down the paths through the forest. The sky overhead is getting darker by the minute, and thunders from the distance start getting closer. The skies light up every now and then, but increasing in number as the lightning goes on over them. The pups start whimpering and Santiago comforts them with whispers that assure them they'll get there in time.
Soon enough, the see the burrow with some rats waiting outside. Naenia is holding a baby girl in her paws as she smiles at Santiago. "We have to hurry. It's coming." Crawling back in, all the rats go to their rooms and Santiago leads Tori into a huge space for many of them to fit. Setting Ray down, he turns, making sure all the rats are inside, before making the whole to the outside a little smaller just in case water decides to get in.

Tori settled down, placing the pups down just enough that they were close to her, along with mello, gwen, and roger curled up beside her. She looked over at Santiago, her tail wagging a little. " I hope it does not get to bad. Im nervous being away to long."

Santiago nodded. After a moment's thought, he got up and smiled at her. "I'm going to get the others. The main chamber was bigger than I thought and if we squeeze in here, I think we might be able to get Spectrum and Reinbow to sit in here. You're lucky our rats dug such a huge hole before making the small rooms. Everyone else can pick a little room to sleep in." Looking around him, the burrow looked like a beehive, with a huge chamber and little chambers all in the walls. Smiling, he got up, and dug himself out. "I'll be back my sweet. Keep the pups warm for me." With that, he turned around and trotted off in the rain.
Santiago had underestimated the power of the storm. By the time he'd made it to the den, he was soaked, freezing cold, and jumpy because of the unceasing thunder and lightning overhead. The others seemed to be surprised to see him. "You guys, come with me now before this gets really bad. There's enough room for all of us back in the rat burrow." Waiting until the little ones had jumped on his, Reinbow's, and Spectrum's backs, they all headed towards the burrow. Once they got there, Santiago made sure everyone made it in before getting himself inside, shivering and warn out.

Daeku & Cheo
Daeku ran through the rain at a high speed, searching frantically for a place out of the rain. Cheo hung upside-down to Daeku's neck and underbelly, whimpering and squealing every time the thunder decided to boom. "Dae-Dae, I'm scared!" He whimpered, tears streaming down his cheeks.
Daeku sighed, he knew that Cheo was frightened beyond what a young one like him should experience. "It's alright, we'll be out of the rain soon enough." He called, trying his best to be heard over the thunder.

Tori waited, looking out for him as she shifted nervously. She didnt want him to be hurt... not him. She waited anxiously until he returned, soaked to the bone, but safe...
"Thank the gods. You're all alright!" She sat up, shifting so they had room, Lani on her back as the others crawled up and around her, curling up against her and the babes. Santiago would have to try harder to get to her side.

Santiago was exhausted. He'd gotten caught in some mud on the way over to the den, and it had taken him a bit to get out of it, and a lot of energy. Breathing heavily, he shivered because he was freezing. Covering the entrance again, he made sure everyone was settled in before collapsing on the floor, trying to catch his breathe.

Tori sat up, shaking the group off of her as she moved to Santiagos side, laying with her body covering his so he could be warmed up. Laying her head over his, she shifted a little to make him comfrotable, trying her best to make sure he was okay. "thank you Santiago.. thank you"

Santiago felt like crap. His legs felt like jello and he was shivering from the cold. Smiling at Tori when she came over, he used the rest of his energy to situate himself. Closing his eyes, he continued to shiver in an uncontrollable way.

Tori refused to move, curling her tail around him as a few of the others crowded around. She nuzzled his fur softly, trying to warm him up.

Daeku & Cheo
Daeku darted in and out of holes, trying to find a burrow that wasn't flooded. At one point, he had slipped in and got a mouth full of water that smelled faintly of death. He said a quick prayer for those who had drowned after this incident, he felt truly sorry for them.
"Dae-Dae, I'm so cold! Is there anywhere we can possibly go?" Cheo whimpered, still clinging to Daeku's underbelly to keep dry. Daeku sighed and shook his head. "No, I'm afraid. We'll most likely meet our end tonight." He said, looking rather grim, yet accepting.
Cheo cried, "B-but, I don't want to die!" Daeku inhaled a deep breath and began to sprint. He knew deep in his heart that he wanted to save Cheo, because no one else would. He darted in and out of every crack, crevice and pin-hole that he could find. But of course, to no avail. They really were going to die out here.
Daeku gave a loud sigh as Cheo began wailing. Cheo knew just as much as Daeku, that their chance of surviving this storm was getting slimmer and slimmer each second.
