Fool Asalf followed behind her employer, directing the orb flame to follow him around as he moved. Matching his pace, "Unless your blade can think for itself it would have been useless. Cloakers are known for suffocating their prey by covering your face. Hence the group attack." Pulling out the old map Asalf studied it for a moment, "We will be passing through the center of Au Shinduago soon enough, but the road is far from short. I suggest you do what you can to secure anything on you as best you can and to stay as close to me as possible." Replacing the map in its tube she shifted the weight of her heirloom. "A powerful half demon is lord of the city and unless you want to be enslaved by his house you had best keep your eyes to my back and look no one in the eyes." Asalf was worried, she had been foolish to forget that the domain of Valatar stood as a blockade. She had managed to avoid the city on her journey to the surface, but that had taken weeks of careful planning and hiring a team of soldiers to keep the illithids at bay while she rested. This had better be worth the risk or I'll sell this surfacer off in a moment. I wonder which house will pay the most, and in which city?

The merchant never got too far ahead and for the longest time said nothing. He was brooding, thinking about his plan as to what he was going to do concerning this city in the way. You see even he had heard about Au Shinduago, about how it was perhaps the most dangerous 'city' of the Underdark. It was cities like these that made him hate his job, because he relied on the law to make sure things went well and he managed to keep his head. Not minuscule or detailed trade laws, just a general sense of order. Chaos and anarchy didn't exactly work well, because while he was perfectly capable of defending himself he didn't stand much of a chance along in the heart of the most lawless Drow city. That was why he had a plan.
"Alright." and he stopped, his footsteps echoing out into the caverns around them. "Here is the plan. I know you're probably no stranger to a bit of deception, and what we're gonna do isn't going to require bard like talent. I'm going to pull my hood up over my face and say -nothing- whilst in the city. If anyone asks I'm your bodyguard, or whatever you think would be acceptable a role for someone with my gear to play. I won't say anything, just make sure we're in and out as fast as we can." he looked back over his shoulder at her.
"You think you can handle this faux reversal of roles?"

Stopping alongside her employer Asalf listened to his plan. "It is good that you clearly have some knowledge of Au Shinduago and how well surfacers are treated there. There is however a problem with your plan."
Examining the stalactites above for a moment in case of more cloakers, "No drow would require a surfacer as a body guard whilst in a Drow city. At best you would be a mercenary and you lack the build for that line of work." Removing the cross from her back Asalf drove it into the ground beside her removing some spell components from her bag she prepared a spell, "I have a Glabrezu servant whose presence alone should keep away would be slavers and others that would find you of value." Asalf began the ritual of summoning her demon compatriot, "Dal l' bowels d'lil rendan Usstan beckon dos ussta rothe ku'lam ulu thalra ussta quarthen Nyarl-deckma!"
The ground shook and shivered as the spell took effect, the glabrezu rose behind Asalf and roared something in abyssal. "My mistress Asalf I have come as you have ordered why do you summon me?" With clear irritation behind every syllable. Rising to face the glabrezu Asalf was still shorter than him but gave no quarter, "You are to accompany me and this surfacer." Indicating her employer with a sweep of her hand, "Through the city of Au Shinduago. You are not to harm him in any way and you will do as I say, understand?" The glabrezu growled an irritated, "yes" from its abyssal lips.
Turning back to her employer, "He won't harm you and I will see to that." Asalf made the motion for the demon to lead on and stay in sight.

Alphonse looked to the demon, then back to the Drow, then back to the demon and finally back to the Drow. He blinked a few times when she summoned and had a little chat with her familiar or guardian or whatever, he wasn't terribly up to date on magical terminology.
"Whatever works, I suppose. I assume we must be close then." and with that the merchant flipped his cloak out to drape over his arms, flipping the hood up and over his face. Now he just looked like another traveler, nothing to insinuate he was a man of the coin, and he dared say he did look a bit foreboding running around in his cloak like this. It wasn't probably going to elicit more than a chuckle from the denizens of the city, but it was better than getting him beat up and sold off somewhere, if not killed. And thus he would follow along, assuming they would arrive sometime soon.

The huge, chaotic evil demon laughed to itself quietly. It did not know how this foolish mortal had somehow summoned its powerful form, but the weakling would soon die. As for the requests the little mortal had made - obviously someone had misunderstood and summoned a demon rather than a devil.
It walked on for a short way, leading ahead as requested while it decided on the best course of action to squash this little annoyance and enjoy its time upon this plane. A drow city was perfect for it's own little brand of temptation, and it would be making great use of this once the pathetic little creature was dead.
Towering at fifteen feet in height, it ducked its head to avoid a low-hanging stalagtite. Soon it would have to make its move, as this was hardly a subtle way to travel through the city.
Now would do. With barely a break in it's stride the demon called forth mirror images of itself, all identical as they spread out. It stood as one of the eight huge images, turning to face the little pest who had tried to summon and control it and laughed.
"Little being. How dare you? I will rend your body asunder and drag your soul down into the Abyss as my personal plaything for the coming ages of pain and regret for your arrogance and the affront you have committed."
Certainly, the glabrezu knew that it's lifeforce was bound to the little pest's. All that would mean however was that when it crushed the pathetic little woman who had somehow held it trapped for so long, her soul would not be able to flee, but would be dragged back down to the Abyss alongside. The time it had waited, impatiently trapped, was finally at an end. It would return home soon, and with a prize in tow.

And Alphonse couldn't have ask for anything -worse- to have happened. The only advantage the merchant had over his Drow counterpart was that he was a small distance ahead of her, and thus when the demon decided to suddenly multiply he was just outside the circle of 8 rather than inside it. He also wasted absolutely no time in taking cover behind a small rock outcropping, instinctively moving one hand to the hilt of his blade. It wasn't as if he stood much if any chance against such a powerful demon, but it helped him keep his clam. Stranger things had happened, and he could still come through this all well anc clear if he laid low and kept his head on straight.
Well s**t, this could have gone better than expected he thought to himself as he took a brief moment to peek out from behind the rock, looking to see if it might have been clear to simply run for it. He didn't chance it and instead darted back behind the rock as quickly as he had popped out, hood still shrouding his face. He needed to come up with a plan and he needed to do it quick, because he had no plans on dying here today.
