Flurries started to softly glide down from the sky while a few clouds had formed obscuring parts of the full moon. He looked about and decided it was a time as any to bring more wood to the fires as well as more warm blankets. "I'll get more wood...and perhaps build a bit of a half shelter over us. The fires will keep the snowflakes off of everyone."
Cyn'gus set himself to the task of preparing the campsite for slightly colder weather, while Silence tended to the guests stomachs. He heard the question about snow on the sea, and opened his mouth to answer until he heard the second half of the question. He could only pause for a moment and realize that she was making fun, at his expense. Immediately he felt the mood lighten and the uncomfortable tension that was previously hanging in the air diminish. Bringing over more blankets from the tent, he looked at Alantha and stopped himself for a moment, saying to himself, …this is the first time she’s experienced a phenomenon like this

"I am fine, sore, but the pain will pass." Alantha sits up and looks up at the sky as snow starts to fall. She blinks and slowly reaching her hand out. The air was much colder then before, but nothing she wasn't used to while in the UnderGaia. "What is this white stuff?" She had seen rain, but never snow.

The girl smirked again and tilted her head back. "This... is snow. It is cold and I have been told it blinds people during the day." Her smirk shifts to a sad smile. "It is said to be beautiful...." With that, the girl pulled the metal cuffs up her forearms and held out both dirty hands to the heat of what she knew was a fire.

Cyn'gus looked up to the sky again as a few flakes of snow landed on his face and melted away. "Up here during this time of year, this is common. It looks like we will only get a dusting, but later on it could begin to snow more"
He tightned up the last line on the shealter covering the small party. Wiping his hands together at the completion of the task, Cyn'gus looked at the out stretched hands of the pale skined elf, noticing the dirt and grime coating her palms. He thought for a moment, pursing his lips together as he did, and then walked away from the fire for a moment.
On his return, his hands were laden with a pail of water and a clean roll of rags. He slowed as he neared the shealter again, and then spoke. "...I have brought you a pail of clean water and some rags to wash up with before supper...may I place them here next to you?"
He asked with hope in his voice. Hope that she would accept the offer.

"Snow..." Alantha had never heard the word before. She shakes a bit and holds onto the blanket tighter. "It's lovely...even if it is cold." She allows herself to stand again, ignoring the pain when she did. She leans back against a tree, still holding her hand out so she could catch the falling snow. She watches as the ice melts when it touches her dark skin.

The sound of the water hitting the inside of the pail caused the girl's ears to twitch. After a moment of hesitation, she agreed. "Fine, but it wont do much good...." She backed away from the fire and waited for him to make another movement as she brought the cuffs down to rest on her wrists again. As she did this, the words of the one called Alantha reached her. 'I'll bet it looks better than they say....'

Alantha shakes lightly and slowly she moves closer to the fire. This was a bit to cold for her to handle.

The girl frowns as a very soft noise reaches her ears. Being blind, she had come to rely on her other senses and the pointed ears she had been born with were just sensitive enough to catch what sounded almost like words. "Here," she muttered, tossing a blanket in Alantha's direction. She stood slowly and turned away from the fire, careful not to knock over the pail of water. Picking up her dagger, she moved back toward the edge of the encampment, tapping the blade to avoid most obstacles. "Is there anyone out there?" Her voice was wary and her unseeing eyes were narrowed slightly. "I promise not to kill you if you show yourself...."

The girl began tapped her blade a bit harder and released a sigh when she finally stepped out of the encampment. Slowly, she searched the ground for a stone and began kicking it, hoping to find the sound the led her away from the fire. "Are you there?" When no sound touched her ears, the girl frowned and turned in a circle as though looking for someone or something. "Come on, show yourself.... Or are you afraid the blind girl will see you?" A humorless laugh escaped her throat as the words left her. 'I could have sworn I heard something...' She gave a frustrated sigh and slowly moved back toward the camp, stopping at the outer edge and finding a seat in hopes of locating whatever she had heard.
((No worries, we will not chew you out for grammar. We might encourage you to work with it while here though. Night! See everyone tomorrow...))

The girl was not comfortable inside the camp so when she had heard the noise it was a wonderful excuse to leave the contained and now unfamiliar area. "I know you're out there," she said harshly. "I may not be able to see you, but I know you're there." A frown passed over her face as she waited for the one outside to do something. Before too long, she was rubbing her arms with dirty hands and looking out at the area where the unknown visitor was hiding from the blind one.
