It was an eased, relax feel between the two; one that was all to welcome, but it also felt so natural that she really didn’t take notice. As Tenma’s eyes traced the string configuration she allowed her mind to drift and wander as it felt needed because, even though she would normally be slapping herself upside the head like she had while pouring tea. Gripping the two x’s in the center, the girl managed to make the shape on her own fingers with her fifth successful attempt, though not consecutively. Then again, she really didn’t notice as she was speaking with Rhiam.

“I see…that seems like a perfectly fine way to live if that is what brings you happiness.”

There was a slight pause as Tenma adjusted the string on her fingers by twisting them slightly. Content with the slight change she continued on with her thoughts.

“So, where do you see yourself in the next two years? I mean, ideally, where do you want to be?”

Rhaim shrugged his shoulders at the happiness comment since that had never actually been a factor in anything he did. And as far as he was currently concerned it probably never would be. However that was not a concept that he could convey or would want to even if he could. He nodded his head as if to say 'good job' when Tenma pulled the strings away from correctly. Her second question caught him a bit off gaurd. Not due to the nature of it so much as the seemingly obscure and random time frame that had been chosen. The boy sighed and offered up another shrug as he gripped the appropriate cross pieces of string again.

"I dunno. Still in Konoha I guess. I'll probably be taller. Why, you going on vacation? In that case I've got something for you. It doesn't do me much good anyhow."

The boy placed the string down beside himself and walked back to his room deep in the house. A couple minutes later he returned with a scroll and placed it before the Fujiko and sat back down. He then reset the string in his hand and waited for her to try again.

"It's the scroll for the syrup capture field jutsu."

Tenma was caught slightly off guard at the speed Rhiam was acting at. First he was simply contemplating physical location and changes over the next couple of years, but then he seemed to go off on something else. Before she knew it he was gone and she was sitting there, moderately confused, with a limp piece of twisted string in his place. It took a couple of minutes but, after a short while of silence, Rhiam finally rejoined her and slid a scroll over to her. As he replaced the string he began explaining that it was a jutsu scroll that she could use.

“Well, thank you, that is very kind of you, Rhiam.”

With an appreciative smile she pulled her x’s through and finally completed her half of the task. There was, momentarily, that feeling of contentment that she got at the completion of a training exercise. However, with her hands vacant she had to come up with an answer for him. After all, it was only fair.

“Hmm…I know that I will have to make at least one trip to Amegakure to see my grandparents and to train with my clan for a while. They have techniques and abilities that I simply cannot pass up. Otherwise I suppose I too will be taller than I am now and I also intend to end up in Konoha. I believe I like it here.”

Rhaim noticed that the girl seemed to be done with the game and so he lean back and placed the palms of his hands down slightly behind him. He wasn't very sure what about the scroll was kind since it was more or less useless to him anyways. Even if it was a technique that she couldn't learn, if she was going to Ame it would probably be a better item to have. At very least it would make her look like she belonged more. Though with her grandparents living there it wouldn't be an issue for her to be there at all. The Nara again nodded his head in acknowledgement of the girls explanation.

"Cool. That'll be pretty awesome to know some techniques that we don't have here. Do you know who you're going to travel with? Maybe you'll get lucky and your team will be sent to Ame."

Rhaim closed the gate in the wall that surrounded his home with his foot since both of his hands were deep in his pockets. He could not be bothered to remove them since his mind was focused elsewhere. With a sigh he brought his attention up to the grounds between his home and the gate behind him. Slowly his gaze drifted over to the small obstacle course that his sisters had set up by the side of the house. With a shrug of his shoulders he moved over to the course. Though he didn't feel like running the entire thing to the same standard that his sisters did it he did still feel like getting some training in to clear his mind. The Nara begrudgingly pulled his hands from his pockets and made a quick sprint at one of the center obstacles. He threw himself violently up at a suspended rope.

The rope was lashed around a rather thin tree branch that extended out for several feet. Fifty meters away suspended in yet another tree was an Academy target practice dummy. Probably aquired from the Academy by less than legal means.

Dexterity Training:
The trainee will climb a 35 ft rope, balance across a 6 inch wide tree branch, and hit the standard Academy target practice dummy. The training is complete once they reach the standard 31 points. If the trainee fails the rope climb or balancing then they must make a tumble check and start over. If the trainee has already trained for tree walking then they may activate their chakra when balancing and won't need to make a tumble if they fail. They still however must make a successful balance roll before throwing a weapon. If a tumble check is failed minus 1D6 HP.

Rhaim heaved himself up the rope much faster then he had originally thought that he would be able to. The cord swayed from side to side as he approached the top which only become a problem once he was at the branch it was connected to. Though the swaying was much less near the top the creaking from the branch was much louder and more than a little unnerving for the boy. In hind sight the whole purpose of the rope being tied to such a small branch was to encourage the climber to not make the sudden jerky movements that he had.

The Nara took hold of the branch with his left hand as close to the actual tree as he could since he would still have to use some pressure to hoist his body up. He hooked his right forearm onto the branch to give himself a stable platform to pull himself up. After a single sigh he lifted himself up completely free from the rope and stood slowly up on the branch. The boy flatened his back against the tree and took a deep breath before beginning the less than appealing walk out to the end of the branch.

Rhaim focused intently on his foot placement as he moved rather hastily towards the end of the branch. In all reality it was probably a little too fast and would result in him having a sloppy shot. As it was he was already teetering from side to side as he made his quick walk. He did his best to keep his arms from shooting up for balance but had a couple of close calls tipping to his left. Though it would have been easier if he had activated his chakra as if he were walking up the tree, the point of the course was to use chakra only to prevent injury.

As it was he still managed to make it out to the end of the branch, which was rocking in a very unsettling manner for the boy. Not wanting to waste any time setting up for a shot since the branch felt uneasy under his weight he immediately hopped off the end. Before reaching the apex of his small jump though, he had a shuriken out of his pouch on the back of his belt. When he felt the pregnant pause before his decent, the Nara threw the weapon underhand at the far target.

Rhaim landed with a soft thud against the earth beneath him as he watched the path of the shuriken. The corner of his mouth pulled back slightly as the device drove past the target and slammed into the bark of the tree that it was suspended from. He scratched the back of his head for a second and looked up from the edge of the branch that he was walking across to the target. He was fairly certain that he hadn't misread the distance, though to be honest he wasn't used to such far targets. He also wasn't used to throwing his shuriken instead of his kunai. All that had actually happened was he had thrown it as if it had the weight of a kunai to make the distance. The boy nodded and decided that he'd have to experiment alittle with how he threw the shuriken to get the feel for how to throw it properly.

After rotating his shoulders a bit, the Nara spun around and ran back towards the hanging rope. This time however he made a sudden stop under the rope to climb up it evenly. He didn't want to to shake as wildly as it had before.

Rhaim had clearly learned his lesson from his first time climbing the rope violently. He pulled himself up the line while working his feet about the rope to save his upper body from doing all of the effort. Though his motions were smoother the rope still spun beneath him rythmicly as he slid the rope from the top of one foot to the top of the other. Rather than look up the rope to see how far he had to go the whole time, he kept his eyes focused directly ahead and let his hands tell him when he was at the top. Just like before once he felt wood against his flesh to gripped the branch closest to the trunk and locked the elbow of his free arm along the branch.

In one fluid motion he hoisted himself up onto the thin tree branch and steadied himself with his back to the tree again. With the heel of his left foot placed back against the tree he stepped off with his right ti begin the movement to the end of the branch.

Rhaim found himself soon at the end of the branch yet again and giving himself a slight hop off of the end of it. Just like last time the thing creaked and bounced as if it were going to break at any moment. Once again he reached back into his belt pouch and retrieved a shuriken. This time however he made the arc with his throwing arm much shorter and drove it forward faster. Despite what training he had on throwing weapons before, the farther distance and different feeling of falling while throwing just about negated all of it.

Just as before the shuriken left his grip when he hit the apex of his hop so as to mitigate the effects of his plane of reference changing. The Nara did not watch the path of his weapon as his body approached the earth.

Rhaim hit the ground on the balls of his feet and instantly crouched down to allow the shock to dissipate easier. He rocked slightly forward to let his fingers touch down on the ground to maintain his balance. He stayed in that position for a couple of seconds before letting out a sigh and standing up straight. The boy let his arms hang loose at his sides while his vision searched through the far tree to see if and where his shuriken had hit. To his utter dismay he found his weapon sunk into the tree next to the previous one. Clearly he was extremely rusty with shuriken and would have to take up some easier training to improve his abilities with them later. He decided that unless he wanted to be out there all day he needed to get lucky with his remaining shuriken and make all of his kunai shots perfect.

With a nod of the head at his new plan, the Nara spun around and raced back towards the rope to carry on with the training. However this time he would not leap up at the rope so that he didn't put more stress on the branch than was needed.

Rhaim found that the technique of climbing the rope in a more gingerly fashion actually had a major drawback. Though the branch above him didn't creak as much he noticed that it took a considerably longer time for his to climb the rope. Somehow he also felt a bit more tired as well, which he wasn't too happy about. He'd have to remember to ask his sisters what the real purpose of that obstacle was. Whether it was meant to be done quick or quietly. Either way he had done it both ways and not very well at that. However in the end he had made it completely up the rope and hoisted himself onto the branch.

As he had done twice before, the Nara backed himself up against the trunk of the tree to prepare to make his way to the end. However this time around he decided to activate the chakra on his feet to provide a higher amount of traction. Though he had been fortuneate so far, it was a very real possibility that he could fall over to either side.

Rhaim locked his eyes on the target across from him and thrust himself forward along the tree branch. However not three steps into his movement he felt his body weight shift too far to the left. In an effort to correct himself the boy leaned excessively to the right and was unable to hold himself in place. Fortunately thanks to his prior decision to hold his feet in place with chakra, he merely found himself rotating around to the underside of the branch. After a brief couple of moments to ensure that he was securely in place the boy shook his head in dissatisfaction and proceeded to continue the run along the bottom of the branch. The which he found wasn't altogether as unsettling as he would have previously guessed.

Despite his earlier thoughts that it wasn't that hard to run upside down, Rhaim soon found that it required a bit more than average concentration. After a couple of confidence building steps he soon found that he wasn't used to gravity pulling down on his thighs along with his own 'lifting' of them. The unforeseen extended periods of his legs being off the branch threw off the boys coordination and he almost fell straight down from the tree. In fact he drifted to his left side as he tried to correct his awkwardness only to find himself with one foot grasping the branch with chakra and the other floating near his own head.

With a sigh the young Nara resigned himself to dismissing the training for the time being. His sisters had developed it for themselves in the first place. And they were much more apt at such skills. Once he was finally able to regain his footing, Rhaim calmly walked down the tree and cast his hands into his pockets. He retrieved his missed shuriken and gave the tree and target one more look before heading out of the yard for a change of scenery.

Rhaim walked in through his front door to find that his sisters had in fact actually left the scrolls for the Kagemane no Jutsu as he had asked. His speech, about how it would probably make them looked like bad sisters and ninja in general if a male Nara genin didn't know the clan jutsu, actually worked. The boy pulled the black cloth down around his neck and removed his gloves altogether. He figured that he might as well make himself comfortable if he was going to study at home for once. The setting was mildly different than the library considering that there was still no noise or many other people to bother him.

The boy seated himself before the scrolls laid out on the common room floor. He then proceeded to trace his finger along the words as he read the text. It was nice for him to actually be researching how to actually do the jutsu instead of just the fact that it existed. Which was all that his research in the library had amounted to in the end.
