[sarcasm] OR we could pretend there is a magical fairy bridge spanning the ocean between Barton and the Isle. This is Gaia after all. Maybe it is a blessing of the Pork Wizard. [/sarcasm]

Feeling his personal bubble was being invaded, he didn't want to let Bapp out of his sight as the young man circled around him to complete inspection. To say the man was nervous was just one word to describe how uncomfortable Bapp was making him.
Sighing heavily, he dropped his head back against his arms, and it was much easier talking at the ground, as opposed to facing Bapp. Surely it was better than to face the ridicule to come. "For your information, after spending last night outside, hyperthermia is the last of my problems. I'm sick."
He continued with, "I can find my own way from here. I am of no concern of yours."

(( -point- I partially have you to blame Lorika, if he does pass out. I hadn't planned on letting him sleep for long, then suddenly RP moved to the next day. And on top of that, you go so far as to say that it was a cold night. You're so trying to render my character harmless before I can really get started making trouble. I have conspiracy theories! heart ))

Be good... It was still early... but not quite early enough for prayers. Lorika had just enough time for a short walk up the path towards the beach before heading back inside.
Wrapped up in her cloak, scarf and gloves, the chilly morning didn't really bother her. She had been used to taking morning walks up the length of the beach - however, today there was no time and she was in her high heels and stockings. Getting sand in there would be more than an annoyance.
She'd only taken a few steps away from the Clurch when a bird suddenly pelted down at her from above. "Woah!" she cried, flinging up her arms. Before she could get a better look at the assaulting bird, a second swooped down and bashed her hard on her shoulder. "Ack!"
She could now hear their cries - there were five, six, seven of these insane birds circling around.
"What's gotten into you?" she muttered, straightening up and stilling her inner essence. A third bird flew down for an assault, but Lorika raised her hand, robes blowing in the brisk breeze.
[Pacify]
Her spell was powerful enough to calm the minds of all the simple-minded animals in the area. The birds stopped circling - the one who had been halfway through launching itself at her dropped to the ground and stood, docile, a meter or so in front of her.
It was then that Lorika took a good look around, frowning. The wind was blowing, indeed, much more briskly than usual. The waves, usually calm and lapping, were hurling themselves against the shore. Now that she had attuned herself to the early morning world, there was something unsettling about it. Maybe it was just because she'd been attacked by a flock of birds, but...
"Hm," she muttered to herself "An ill omen...?" ...and you will be lonesome.

Bapp let out an exasperated sigh and stood up straight, raising an eyebrow.
"You honestly think that I could leave someone here, after hearing him tell me hypothermia's the least of his problems? You need to see a doctor. You could've told me that earlier, you know." Bapp removed his cloak and draped it around the guy, then forcefully carried him on his back. "Oof. You're pretty heavy." He stood still despite the man's struggling. "You can say you're no concern of mine after we reach the town, alright?" Bapp turned around and grinned. He broke into a run almost immediately.
((I'm gonna pretend that they're still on the island, trying to reach the port, and the boat's leaving, and that this whole journey from here to Barton combined with Bapp's running speed is 30 minutes. I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN. *GODMODES FOR THIS SHORT PERIOD OF TIME TO MAKE UP FOR BLUNDER* See, Lorika. Why did you have to point out Isle de Gambino is a... umm... island!?))
In the distance, Bapp saw the boat already leaving the port. "Oh s**t!" He ran onto the docks, and stood at the edge. "OI! Catch!" Bapp shouted to the people on the boat, puzzling them until moments later. The white-haired man was flung through the air and was barely caught by the people on the boat. Bapp then dived into the water and swam after the boat, which slowed down abit to let Bapp catch up.
"Sorry for the trouble!" Bapp said, climbing onto the boat.
[He is crazy. Do not try this at home, kids.]

After a point, he had to accept that he wasn't making any headway by railing against Bapp insisting on helping him. He would only have to bide his time, hoping that Barton was really as close as Bapp had said. Begrudgingly, sometime before they made it to the boat, he had given up on struggling despite how morbidly embarrassing it was to be carried on the young man's back.
Exercising his patience, he was only rewarded with a singularly terrifying experience. It seemed like they had missed the boat, and the man thought he was going to be finally put down. But instead, heaping on top of the insult of being manhandled, Bapp threw him with one heave across the gap like a toy doll to the people on board the boat. Not wishing to go for another swim so soon, the man grasped at the hands that caught him and he scrabbled up the side of the boat.
He didn't exactly have any kind words for Bapp by this time, "So c-cruel." To which he retreated to the far corner of the boat to brood, huddled under the borrowed cloak. "Do me a favor and we will part ways once the watercraft docks."

Bapp laughed and dismissed the man's fears as nothing.
"Nah, it's okay. You're not being a burden at all. I'll make sure you make it there safely." He grinned, not knowing his stupidity was shining brightly then.
