LigerZeroSnyder If any of you live in California and there's an In-and-Out near you, work there! The employees are always happy because they get treated great and the starting pay is around $10 an hour. I gotta get me hired there one day. lol My sister is looking to move to California pretty soon so I will be a good brother and pass along that tidbit of info. mrgreen

The Vilespawn Archfiend @ Haloshatterer v2 I fricken' HATE that! I'm a trainer myself at our store and they wouldn't dream of promoting me because no one else(managers) want to bother training new people. I get the grunt work and I'm starting to be bothered by it. stare @ Gardenia At least you have a lot of options. Back home where most of my siblings still are, there are no jobs for anyone... not without qualifications anyway. whee I can imagine the stories you have. I have a few myself but they usually don't hold a candle to what I have heard from others. 3nodding stare Believe me, you have no idea. I've had people yell at me for giving them exactly what they ordered.

I did hear a story from a co-worker from when she used to work at McDonalds... A customer came into the store and complained that she just went through the drive thru there and ordered a Fillet 'O Fish sandwich but got a chicken sandwich instead. My friend looked at her and said, "Ma'am... we don't have a drive thru." xd And the lady kept arguing with her saying they did and that she talked to my friend personally in this Imaginary drive thru. xp

It was one of those things that wasn't funny when it was happeinging but hilarious afterwards. I always got the bitter old ladies who would ask to talk to my manager for tiny infractions. The world of fast food is a horrible horrible place.

I agree, yet around here it is usually the best and most stable employment one can find, as long as they can actually work.

@TVA: Same here. Panera is one of the only places that isn't laying off workers, closing down, or anything like that.
My boyfriend was living 2 hours away and quit his job to move back to the area with me. He thought he wouldn't have a problem finding a job because he was a security officer. But it's been a year now, and he can't find anything better than Best Buy, and they only call him if someone else calls in sick. The economy sucks.

Being as I'm 23 and a mommy of 3, I don't work lol. I worked for a month early this year in a grocery store in Missouri. Before that, I haven't worked since I got out of the Air Force in '06.

Well as most of you have probably already figured out, I work at a Panera Bread store and have since June of '06. It's had it's ups and downs and right now it's kinda at a down.
I did also work at a Potbelly Sandwich Works place for almost a year roughly around the same time I worked at Panera. Doing the two wasn't too bad, but eventually I quit there and went back to Panera full time.
Otherwise, I've worked no where else in the past 3 years. 3nodding

I've never worked a day in my life. That's probably why I have no $. xD
My friends who work usually have whacked up sleeping schedules or little time to hang out. It's doubly so when they go to school too. >_<
