Lee considered that somewhat nice. Anything that involved an oven or stove was special. If that's what he had planned, though, that was fine with her. "Sounds good."

"Ah, good, lass, 'cause I didnae want t' waste th' bunnies I killed tha' wis nibblin' at your strawberries," Rory said, heading for the kitchen, motioning for her to follow. "I think w' still hae a bottle o' white wine in th' fridge from th' reception if'n you want a glass."

Lee whimpered a bit, head lowering at Rory's words. Just because she ate rabbit when Rory made it didn't mean she liked to know she was eating dead bunnies. Sighing, Lee turned and headed back to sit, shaking her head as she said, "No thanks, that's okay..." Dead bunnies... what a terrible image. Hm, on second thought, perhaps she would take a glass. "Er, maybe just a little."

"Sure," Rory called from the kitchen. After a moment he leaned over the back of the couch, handing Lee a glass of white wine with a strawberry in it, kissing the top of her head. "Bet your mum ain't as pampered as you are now, eh? I'll hae dinner ready soon. Keep an ear out fae our little guest."

Lee giggled as she took her drink, wishing she'd gotten the chance to kiss him as thanks, and instead took a sip, then a munch of the strawberry. She'd try to listen for Lynn, but didn't think the little girl would wake up any time soon. She'd just gone to bed, right?

Puttering around the kitchen was Rory's second favorite--alright, third favorite thing, and it didn't take him long to whip up dinner, plus a small extra plate he put in the fridge for Lynn in case she woke up hungry later. He stuck his head out of the kitchen, smiling at the sight of his wife, enjoying the view before clearing his throat quietly. "You can come eat now if you want, love."

Lee hopped up, trotting into the kitchen and plopping down at the table, grinning at Rory. She would enjoy her time alone with him while it lasted...

Rory'd even lit candles for the table. The fact that there was a small child or a Lauss in the house didn't stop him a bit on romancing his wife, even if they couldn't be as physically intimate as they wanted. "I been thinkin', lass. Would it be so bad if w' kept her here wi' us? I mean, just t' see how it gaes a bit till w' find a family fae her? It'd kinda be a little hands-on fae when w' hae some bairns o' wor own."

Lee was silent for quite a while, the occasional creak of her chair only making it more uncomfortable. Scratching at her arm uncomfortably, she looked up at Rory, looking a little lost. "Can we see how this night goes first?" she asked, sounding a little scared of the idea.

"Absolutely. If she stays, I'll do somethin' about accommodations fae her so w' can stay in th' same room," Rory said, rubbing Lee's arm gently. "You're reet, though. Should see how t'night gaes first."

Lee was more than a little nervous to see how tonight turned out. What if the girl was a little devil child? They didn't know. Really, she didn't know what to expect, not having met many kids her age. Toddlers were difficult, she'd heard. Lee was not looking forward to this. Sighing, she took another sip from her glass, averting her eyes from Rory.

"Lee, darlin', she might be small, but she's still a person," Rory said, giving her a gentle smile. "A wee person. She just got abandoned an' w're all she has, at least fae t'night." He leaned over to kiss her. "It is a wee funny how she looks just like, though, aye?"

Rory was right, Lee was being awful. Sighing a bit to compose herself, she nodded, rubbing the back of her neck with shame. Lynn was a little girl in need, and here Lee was, thinking about herself again. "Yeah, a little." A little unsettling, too. She wondered if this was how Faolan felt when he first saw Kelly.

"I love you, girl. I know tha' family ain't your strong suit," Rory said softly. "I just think w' should do what w' can fae her, whether she stays wi' us or w' find her some parents. You got th' day off t'morrow, eh? Why not take her t' th' seamstresses or take her shoppin' fae clothes. Think o' her like a doll tha' can hae an opinion."

Lee's eyes lit up, her face actually starting to form a smile. She could dress her up, couldn't she? And Lynn liked cute little dresses, it seemed. It might actually be fun. "Alright... Do you think she'd come along? She doesn't like me that much." Lee wasn't bothered by that fact in the least, more worried that it might make the child uncooperative.
