Aha! The prey was occupied with her distraction! Shammil slid foward and grabbed for Ike's tail. She missed and ended up on her belly, looking up at him. "Hee."
"You must be good. I wasn't too good. I missed a lot, 'cause I liked seeing the pretty lights. It was funny to hear people scream. But then they made me scream. I wasn't too fond of that." She stood on her tip-toes, smiling at him.

Aaah, babysitting. Anvion was flitting about the grounds today, baby Bergerac in her arms. It was midafternoon, but the skies were heavily overcast, making the day seem darker than it was. Bergerac seemed to be comfortable with this setting, so Anvion had taken the child out for some fresh air whilst Varlen was busy working on some weird magic experiment or another. She wasn't one for magic, and didn't really bother. But still! Baby! This was her first chance to get to know Bergerac, and the day was proving to be quite enjoyable. Bergerac was so well-behaved...!
By now she had wandered out towards the farm area, pausing to look about at the animals. She held Bergerac up, teaching the baby the different names.
"That's a horse, Bergerac. Can you say 'horse?'"
"Hoorsss..."
"Good!"

Anvion could hear the two figures approaching, long before she turned to watch them as they approached. Her gaze wasn't apprehensive or resentful or suspicious, something Varlen would have done. Instead, she merel watched them curiously, a friendly smile playing across her lips. Shifting Bergerac so that she could hold the baby girl in one arm, she used her free hand to wave at the approaching strangers.
"Hello!" she called out. "You here to look at the horses, too?"

Ariane waved a hand as she continued to walk down the path before stopping a couple feet in front of the others. The woman's question had been heard as she was walking, but Nana decided to not call back until she was closer, for she had never been the one to raise her voice for any occasion. "Bonjour!" Nana replied, finally, and held her hand out to the other woman's,"my name is Ariane and this Osso," wine hued eyes, the same as her daughter's, moved to indicate the growth attached to her tail.
Osso trundled along behind Nana. He had shifted his hold from her hand to her black tail and clutched it like a security blanket in the same way he did with his mother's tail. When Nana stopped and started talking to the other woman Osso's hollow sockets looked upward at the two and he noticed the small child. Another Mishap? The bone-child shifted closer against Nana's leg, still peeking up at the babe until he felt the black tail in his hands actually push him out from behind his grandmother. Well, Nana was certainly a more hmm...open/no-room-for-being-shy kind of person though Osso.
"Say hello dear," Nana said in her accented happy tone as her tail did it's job at moving him into the open.
Osso just waved to the two before trying to duck behind Nana again...though it didn't quiet work. it seemed that her tail had gone rigid and refused to budge. there was a trick Momma didn't know...

The elven female returned the pleasant smile, reaching out to shake Ariane. And you, Osso," she added with a friendly grin and nod of her head. "I'm Anvion, and this little munchkin here is Bergerac."
She withdrew her hand, indicating the baby female as she shifted Bergerac back into both arms. "We came out to- Oh sweetie, I'm not going to hurt you or anything! No need to be shy." Anvion exclaimed, laughing quietly at Osso's attempts to hide.
Meanwhile, Bergerac remained quiet, though she squirmed in Anvion's grasp to get a better look. She wanted to see!
Anvion, noticing Bergerac's squirming, giggled. "See? Bergerac's curious. I think she wants to play with you a bit, Osso. That fine by you?"

With a nod, Anvion grinned pleasantly. "Ah, a shy one? Don't worry. One of my boys is shy. But no worries... I'm harmless, Osso darling."
Squatting down, the elven female gently disentangled Bergerac's tiny hands from her sleeve and set the girl on the ground. "Aaand there we go. You wanna play with Osso, Bergerac?"
Now that she was on the ground, the aged-looking baby stared curiously at the two new people. The bigger one she had only a mild interest in, but the small one... She curiously crawled forward, blank blue eyes locked on Osso. Once she was close enough, Bergerac reached out and lightly poked at Osso's leg. "Leee. Guh. Leguh."

Osso looked down at the babe when the woman with pointy ears set her down. Her looks confused him a little, but then again, his own appearance gave the same reaction to others. A shoed foot shuffled a bit in the dirt as the babe touched his leg and his head cocked to the side when strange words fell from her mouth. "Leguh? Leg?" He'd played this guessing game before with his newer friend, Wy.
Black wolf ears shifted to the sides as Ariane watched the two children interact. "The leetle one ees your's, no?" asked the full Noir werewolf as her eyes rested back to Anvion. As she spoke the tip of her tail twitched back and forth while still held in her grandson's hand.

"Actually... not yet." Anvion shrugged. "My fiancee Varlen is actually Bergerac's guardian, but he's busy with stuff today. So I'm babysitting today.
"And you're his... grandmother, I take it?" she asked, tilting her head slightly to the side. "He's a real cutie."
"Leggguh." Bergerac nodded firmly, trying to repeat the word. Words, even small ones, were still difficult for the baby to say. But she tried. She tried hard. Her da had tried to teach her words, and she took advantage to try and repeat them whenever. "Leguh."

"Fiancee?" Her ears perked to that," oh la la! Best um..weeshes to you both!" she smiled, some happy laughter falling out along with it. Araine thought back to some distant memory before her eyes widend for a second when ears heard Anvion's question,"hm? Oh, yes, thank you! 'E ees my grandson...My daughter's son. I am veesiting them from Paris for the month or so."
Osso nodded and crouched down to be more at an eye level with the babe. From there he managed to balance on the balls of his feet while his free arm hugged around his knees. "LEEH-Guh," the bone child said it slowly while trying to say the right parts lowder than the rest.

"Thanks," Anvion responded, grinning and flushing slightly. The fact that she was getting married to Varlen (and getting praise for it!) still made the blue-haired elf blush. Most people who knew him only treated it as if it were a joke, and it was.. well, nice to get praise.
At the mention of Paris, Anvion's eyes went wide with curiosity. "Wooow, really? I went to Paris a long time ago. Lovely place... So, you just here to visit?"
"Leehg." Screwing up her face, Bergerac tried to repeat it. "Leehg."

Ariane's already ongoing laughter amplified some at the elf's response,"yes, yes. I am just heere to visit my daughter and finally see my grandson. When did you visit Paris?" she asked as curiosity was just to much to contain.
"No, no, no. LeehhhhG," Osso reapted after stiffling a small giggle at the girl's attempts.
