The wind had died down, as Joshua knew it would. When it was safe to stand up again he did so turning around 360 degrees to look at their new surroundings. The first thing he noticed was that his surroundings had drastically changed, the group must have wandered farther during the storm and to make matters worse his hat had been stolen by the wind and now his long red hair fell over his shoulders freely raising a hand to wipe the sand from his hair he noticed the second thing.
There was a fort in the distance.
"Hmmm might be abandoned...." He muttered looking at the group who was still with them. Alihi was gone and that could mean trouble, without someone calling the shots it would be harder to get organized.
"Hey! If you can hear me try to come to my voice!" He called out for the benefit of those who were out of sight he winced as the cut on his face moved with his mouth raising his hand to his forehead he ran a finger along the cut to brush off any loose pieces of sand... obviously some had gotten in the cut and Joshua was worried about infection.
Jaren's eyes flew open as he sat up quickly hand flying to his sword, which wasn't there. "s**t!" He swore getting to his feet and looking for the dog that had carried him and not seeing it.
Puzzled Jaren looked to Marina and shrugged before climbing up the sand dune he had tumbled down when the dog dropped him once at the top as he saw other people moving around he slid back the cow-hood and revealed a grinning face
Turning back to face down the dune he said to Marina. "Hey good news! We're not alone." He smiled at the man. "There are some people up here... I can't see who they are from here.... we're pretty far away..." Jaren put his hand over his face as he scanned the skies. "... That Pegasus knight is gone.... I hope she's okay. She must have gotten the worst of it."

Now I'm stuck here But I don't belong here ~Ninian~Roy was nowhere to be seen. Neither was Alihi, nor half of their group. Once the sandstorm finally passed, Ninian caught sight of Sue, Akihi, the corpse man, and a few others she had no names for. It seemed that everyone else had wound up someplace out of sight from their group. Hopefully, the others were together, or at least unharmed.
Slowly, Ninian approached Sue, keeping Briseschal wrapped around her neck. "Sue, are you alright?" she asked the nomad. At least she could make certain one of the few friends she had was safe, if nothing else. "What happened to everyone else?"
She continued to fight the panic, though at least she knew two of the people still here. Still, she was afraid. They were lost, their guide vanishing with the sandstorm. What if the bandits returned? If attacked, how were they to protect themselves? She clutched Briseschal nervously. She had yet to learn how to wield it, and she didn't know if she could bring herself to harm another person.
Someone, please! Help us! I wanna be where you are Maybe I'm not so far from home

They huddled close to the base of the dune, trying to get as much protection from the storm as possible. It wasn't much; Charice stood close to her mount's muzzle in an effort to keep it from inhaling too much sand. She just kept the facemask close and held the sword high, not daring to stop the magic that helped keep the storm at bay. But she was getting pretty tired, and couldn't keep this up much longer. She turned to the base of the dune and make two strong swipes; the wind magic sliced away at the base of the dune, and before more sand could pile down to replace the sand blown away, she threw her back at the new opening, letting the sand cascade down around her, Aph doing the same by sidestepping in the new crevice. Though they'd both be extremely dirty from all the sand, they'd both receive decent protection until the storm passed.
...Which it did some time later. But neither rider nor pegasus were sure of their location--disorienting storms would do that. Charice was unwilling to mount up at the moment, Aphrodite shaking herself this way and that in an effort to remove the sand from her body. "Augh, what a mess... and it won't be long until those bandits return. Maybe in greater numbers."
More than anything, what they needed was time to regroup and get back in the air.

While the bandits prepared for an upcoming skirmish, Ali checked the group one last time. Two of the three women looked a little young but ripe to be picking. As for the light aqua-haired woman, she would make a mighty fine treat if that fat a** leader would let him keep.
The men he didn't even care about them. Just let those fools be killed and had the women be taken as sex slaves. As for the cow, it was a little weird to see a cow standing on two feet. Could it be that one of his men mistaken it as a person in a cow suit?
...
Ah, what the hell. Just kill the cow too.
Wondering if there were more of them, Ali scanned the horizons. It was then that he heard giggle. Turning around, the bandit saw a group of women and young men walking along with some of the bandits. Ali scowled.
It seemed that the lazy tard was going to fool himself with the harems while he and the bandits had to attack the group outside. Stupid, lazy, fat-a** mother-
Suddenly, someone among the harem caught his attention. It was purple haired young woman that they had captured recently. If he remembered correctly, that girl had put up a good fight among his bandits. Maybe he could use her to help them.
"Hey!" He yelled at the bandits who were leading the harem. The guards stopped and looked up. Ali then pointed at the said woman. "Bring that b***h over here!"
"Her? But-"
"She's a harem? So what? Feo doesn't see her before so it's not like he knows everything. Now bring the b***h to me at once!"
Annoyed but following order, the bandits grabbed the young woman's arm. They nodded the other bandits to continue taking the harem to their leader while taking the girl to Ali. After climbing the ladder, the bandits shoved the girl in front of Ali. Prompting his fists against his hips, he looked at the woman gruffly.
"Listen up, b***h. You see that group over there?" Ali said as he pointed at the said group outside. "I want you to use your power against them."

After the sandstorm had died down, Sue brought her cloak down off her face. She saw Ninian approach her, and was glad that the dancer was still here amongst them. The tower was a dangerous place, likely but the bandits here weren't exactly any better. But still, that group was nothing a Silver Sword couldn't handle.
"Ninian, I'm fine..." Sue answered her finally after assessing the situation a little bit. She remembered part of her training, should she ever be captured or lost, that even ten seconds of observation was enough to save a life. "But if you look over there, it appears our enemies are unphased as well. It's to be expected, as they live here in this desert... and yet... I will not fall to them."
She would have said more, had she not felt like she was stepping on something. When Sue picked it up, she noticed it was a wing, too small to be a pegasus wing. When she attached it to her boot, it mysteriously vanished as all magic items do, and the nomad felt faster.

Iris huffed. Ugh, this was so undignified! First she'd fallen into this world which was already just so barbaric, and now she was forced to help these stupid bandits? Didn't they know who she was? She was Iris Rystda, of the Rystdan bloodline, only the finest noble house in Etruria! They spoke to her so rudely, and--
Shut up, Iris, we weren't that noble. We were, like, fourth, tops.
-- and, well, anyway, they were just rude! And threatening her with being a sex slave, with rape? She'd show them a thing or two!
Yeah, please do. I'd be stuck watching. I remember this one time, I walked in on you--
ANYWAY! Why, if she could just reach her tomes, she'd smack one of them good! But no, they'd been taken from her until they arrived...wherever they were arriving in this land. Madness! This was just horrible! She'd...she'd...wait, they were letting her fight? Why, this was just perfect! Now she'd get her tomes back, she'd kill all the incessant bandits and the commoners! At the very least, she'd beat up a few of them, just enough to escape. She huffed at the bandit offering her release, not saying a word to him as she staggered out onto the sands, tripping over her dress. A tome in her hand, she focused the incantation and seven dark spheres appeared around her, ready to call upon.

~Ninian~Ninian's heart sank when she saw the bandits. What were they supposed to do? Were they even strong enough to protect themselves? She shifted her feet, subconsciously moving into her standard position for the beginning of her most basic dance, Briseschal swung behind her back, automatically fitting into the starting position.
"I don't know how much help I'll be if they attack, Sue," she said, anxious. "If only we hadn't been separated. I hope the others are alright. . . ."
Roy . . . Alihi . . . Amara . . . Please be alright!
Someone, anyone . . . please! We need help if we are to survive this. . . .
She clutched Briseschal as if it were her own scarf, then realized what she was holding. I still am not sure how to use this, so I cannot fight. . . . Forgive me, Teifi . . . I have failed you. . . .
She fought back the fears that had returned with her dream. She stood facing the bandits, waiting for the inevitable attack, her head starting to pound again. Whether it hurt because they were in danger, or because the others were, or even both, she didn't know.Let them come. I will see them dead before they hurt my friends or my family.

((There is a glitch in the guild system where new posts are now being placed on top. It is unknown when will that glitch be fixed... *annoyed of making the 8th or 9th post*
EDIT: It seems that they have fixed the glitch.))
Ali watched as the young woman exited the fort and marched across the desert to face the group. The woman was doing what he had told her.... Well, after he had threatened her they would rape her if she refused. But nonetheless, she was doing as he said.
As he watched the young woman performing her spell, he turned to one of the bandits.
"Have the troops ready at the gate if these runts dare to enter the fort. If the b***h or these pests try to escape, open the gate and we'll chase them. In the meantime, sounds the archers and our magicians to cast their weapons on them, including the harem."
"What? But she's working for us!"
"I don't give a s**t! Have you heard her refusal the first time? It shows that that b***h may double cross us if we keep our end of the bargain! Might as well kill her before she crosses us! And besides, Feo won't know the difference in his number of harems."
"Yeah, but-"
"DO IT!"
"Right away!"
The bandit pulled out the horn and blew. At the sound of the horn, the archers in the archer towers pulled their bows and unleashed a volley of arrows into the air. The arrows flew across the sky before they began to descend toward the said group and the girl. Leaning over the wall's rail, magic users began to cast their spells and aimed it at the group. It would be hard to attack when long ranged weapons, especially ballistas, bolting, eclipse, and other long ranged magic attacked. And yet, it was unknown who was playing defense: the group trying to avoid the long ranged attacks or the bandits trying to protect their fort.

"We have no choice but to just keep fighting as long as we can." Sue answered the dancer's question, her Silver Sword still ready to slice and dice up some bandits. By Father Sky, she would not be part of what they wanted her to be. The nomad would kill every last one of the bandits after them and leave no room for sympathy. She knew well enough their intentions for women, and she was not happy.
"Relax..." Sue said, trying to keep both her and Ninian calm so they could avoid the ballistae, bolts, and other such long-range tactics instead of frantically moving right into the projectiles. "We'll hide within the dunes, and I'll shoot them from afar when we get close enough. For now though... we'll put on the act that we're helpless. It will throw them off."
And there she was, playing tactician. Well, Alihi wasn't here, so someone had to! There were no sign of the others she could see, so as far as Sue knew, she was alone to defend the mother of General Roy. I will not fail, I promise.
Even if she were deceiving her enemies, a high dishonor amongst the Tribe, she was doing it for the sake of survival. Hers and Ninian's freedom would not be taken!
"Follow me." she whispered, and over to the left, they headed towards the first dune in a hurried, seemingly panicked pace.
