"Absolutely," Gingerpaw mewed as she padded toward the exit of her small den. "I definitely need yucca, and it wouldn't hurt to pick up some more lamb's ear, juniper, and kinnikinnik."

"Alright," Autumnpaw meowed, clearing away the last of the unusable herbs. "Are you going to ask Blizzardstar for permission? I'm going to ask Waterpaw if she'll be able to come along."
He padded out of the den after Gingerpaw and headed for the gray apprentice. Cinderkit was talking with her and he smiled.
"Hey, Waterpaw, do you think you'll be able to help Gingerpaw and I gather herbs, or do you have other things planned?" He asked her as he came to sit beside Cinderkit.

Waterpaw looked at Autumnpaw, and her cheeks flushed an entirely new shade of red. "I-I'm not sure, I-I'll have to ask Echosong." She stuttered.
Blizzardstar padded up to Autumnpaw. "We'll be going hunting tomorrow, I need to assess your hunting skills." She mewed.
Silverwing looked at Nightstripe. "Let's go hunting." She mewed.

"Yes, Blizzardstar, Gingerpaw and I were just going out to gather some herbs, and we were going to ask Waterpaw if she wanted to come, but she has to ask Echosong first." Autumnpaw told his mentor.

Blizzarstar nodded. "It's alright. I'll talk to Echosong for you, Waterpaw." She mewed. "Oh, and Autumnpaw, you'll make a great mentor when the time comes." She added, smiling at her apprentice.
"Okay, thank you, Blizzarstar!" Waterpaw mewed.

Gingerpaw returned to the clearing just in time to observe Autumnpaw's conversation with Blizzardstar. She couldn't help but smile a little, and padded toward the exit. "Come on," she called to the two apprentices, then trotted through the exit.

(( Sorry I wasn't on as much lately. I've just been super busy with my family because of Thanksgiving, and my parents are divorced so I had to spend some part of the holiday with my mom and another part with my dad and his best friend. ))

"Thank you, Blizzardstar," Autumnpaw meowed. His ears perked when he heard Gingerpaw calling to them. He signaled for Waterpaw to follow as he padded after her.

Gingerpaw waited just outside the clearing for Autumnpaw and Waterpaw to catch up, then turned her nose to the wind. She could vaguely smell juniper on the breeze. She flicked her tail.

Autumnpaw bounded up to Gingerpaw and paused next to her, sniffing the wind just as she had.
"Juniper," he murmured. "Do you want to make a circle around the territory? We'll swim out to the lake shore and start getting herbs from there, and we can grab some good yucca from the gorge, and make our way back on the opposite shore. What do you say?" He asked.

Gingerpaw dashed in after him, smiling a bit at the way the cool water lapped at her. It was familiar. It was comfortable. It was home. She looked toward the sky. Thank you, StarClan, she thought, for letting me be such an important part of LakeClan. When they reached the other side, she bounded up onto the shore and shook the drops of water off of her pelt. It may have been comforting while she was in the water, but there was nothing worse than cold wind on wet fur.
(((EDIT: Posted it twice cause somehow, it ended up on the top of page six when it should either be at the bottom or on page seven. SO weird!!!)))

Autumnpaw purred, "Let's run, all the exercise should make us warm."
He turned and began to run along the shoreline, keeping an eye out for any herbs.
