 "Sam.. SAM.. SAM.. Please.. Call me Sam.. I am not your mistress, master, or anyone that owns you. I may have paid for you, but in fact, I paid for your freedom. All I want from you is to live with me.. It's lonely here in the woods.. But I don't want some slave who kisses my feet, and walks around the house just like a robot. No. I want a friend.. Why can't you be that person?" She stood up and slowly walked over to the sink and placed her plate in it, before walking over to the living room with a hand to her face.

 Daisuke finished his plate and put it in the sink, he followed sam into the living room. "I'm sorry, but it an old habit, i can't just break it just like that, im still not to sure on the thought of being, free" he placed a hand on her back trying to comfort her.

"Well.. Are you willing.. To try something new?" Sam said softly, trying to keep herself under control. She smiled at his comforting touch. "You have a heart, and you keep serving people even after the event.." She turned around slowly, placing her hands on his head and pulled him into her, in a hug type fashion. "You're too kind.. Can you at least try toning the slave-part down a bit?" She whispered into his ear.

Sam squeezed him closer to her before letting go of him. "I want you to feel healthy, comfortable, and at home. Like I said before, this is a sanctuary." She kept her hands on his head though, her fingers moving around, scratching behind his ears slightly. She looked over at her room, while continuing to say, "Also. That collar can only be taken off by me and you. I'll give you an extra key to it. So, when you're in the house, take it off or put it around your ankle or wrist, anywhere but your neck."

Daisuke purred when she scratched behind his ear, the thought of wearing the collar anywhere but his neck. "why, why don't you want me to wear it around my neck mis...Sam?" He was going to need a while to get use to that.

"Well, if you want to keep it around your neck, then fine.. If you are comfortable with it that is. I want you to be happy in a non-slave way." Sam stopped her petting and walked over to the room, looking for the collar. She found it resting on her dresser and came right back out. The collar had the regular black gems, along with Sam's birthstone, amethyst. She also went back into the kitchen, grabbing the charms, and placed them on there. She went back to him, and asked, "When's your birthday?"

Daisuke blushed a little, his gem was very expensive and he knew that. "April 10th, if you don't want to put a diamond on there its fine with me mis...sam." He said a little shakingly.

"A diamond? I have a nice sized one my grandma gave me before she died. I think it suites you better since I don't wear jewelry that much." Sam smiled as she handed the collar to him to hold for a moment before walking over to her bedroom to look through her jewelry box, finding the diamond that use to be for necklace, but now was just there for a charm. Sam walked quickly over to Daisuke and attacked it carefully to the empty front ring on his collar. "Ah.. Perfect.. April tenth, huh? Well.. I'll be sure to celebrate it with you when that time comes around."

Daisukes ears perked up then drooped a little when she put the diamond on his collar. "If it was your grandmothers, its fine if you dont want me to wear it." He blushed a little when she mentioned celebrating his birthday. "thank you m...sam."

Sam shrugged, "My grandmother is dead, what is she going to do about it? Plus, she'll be proud that it's for a good cause." Sam stroked Dai's head again, getting right behind the ears. "Do you like cake? Ice cream cake? Or any other type of cake? Or do you like just ice cream or something else that's sweet? I can make fudge tonight if you want. It's pretty hard to make, but with your help I'm sure we can get it within two hours." She smiled.

Daisukes ear perked up again at the sound of sweets he purred when she scratched him again. "I haven't had a cake in a while, so i don't know, i love sweets however. And if you would like to, we can make fudge." his body shook a little and he got the cat smile (:3) across his face at the mention of fudge, he absolutely loved chocolate.

Sam laughed slightly at his face, and nudged her forehead with his. "Okay.. Let's make fudge.. And cake, then." Sam let go of his head and slowly walked over to the kitchen. "Can you get me.. Some milk and sugar? Milk is in the fridge and the sugar is in the cabinet next to the sink." Sam instructed as she pulled out a huge pot and placed it on the stove before moving over to another cabinet to get the recipe book. She looked through it, noticing they need semi sweet chocolate. She walked to another cabinet, grabbing the chocolate and the rest of the ingredients.

Daisuke bowed and followed her into the kitchen. "Of course mistre..Sam." He almost slipped that time, he got in the refrigerator and got the milk out and brought it to her and sat it down next to the bowl before getting into the cabinet and grabbing the sugar, he walked over to her holding the bag. "Anything else mistress? er, i mean, Sam."

Sam pat his head, "Uhm.. Measuring cups.. There in the drawer next to the sink." She nodded her head to the left drawer, before looking back to her recipe. She slowly looked up and turned the stove on to heat up. "Oh ya.. Butter.. Mind getting that for me, Daisuke? It's in the fridge too. In one of the shelves on the door." She pointed her finger in the general direction as she read her book.
