Well done! no one had gotten hurt, and that girl - the one Panata knew from earlier, had impressed! Such a lovely Blue, he was sure that Uuni had to be happy! It didn't matter that she'd impressed to a dragon other than the Gold, Panata was too happy for her to care, and also a bit too young to be jaded like many others would be about a woman riding.
What would come out next?! The fear had long left the little dirty-blond, replaced with anticipation and excitement. He did his best to stay calm, quiet, the large hand on his shoulder helping to keep him so.

Leicha was glad too, to see such a healthy Dragonet on the sands, and when the blue impressed to a girl he recalled seeing around quite a bit, he felt a little jealous that she'd gotten hers. Still, the jealousy passed as quickly as it had come, for who was to say she hadn't been standing longer? For all he knew, all his memories of Impressions had her there.
Soon, his eyes turned back to the sands again.

A new wave of congratulations rose up and he added his voice into it. "Congratulations!" He yelled in time with the rest of the candidates. His eyes were still on the Sunrise Egg though. He was still waiting for the bronze. He would come out when he was ready, when he saw his.
He hoped the blue and green both had good lives with their riders. Were any other eggs hatching? He looked closely, it was hard to see though. He was still somewhat in the back.

Grinning at the blue's antics Nadia watched happily as the blue impressed with Uuni. Watching them for a minute she turned to look at the rest of the candidates for a minute before turning her attention to the still unhatched eggs, wondering what was going to happen next but knowing that whatever it was it was going to be very interesting.

Laughs from the audience were to be had courtesy of the great blue Makereth. Many candidates cheered and chuckled, too, but some girls found themselves crestfallen such an intriguing dragon had not chosen them.
But they need not worry just yet, for their next chance was soon to come. The Pink Raptor Egg slowly rocked to the left, then the right. An unmistakeably blue foot shattered through the bottom of the egg. It drew back in, and nose of the same color stuck out.
Inhale. Exhale.
The blue then moved so his eye was peering out of the shell, whirling green, round and round. Content that the time was right, the dragonet casually and cautiously wiggled his way out.
Inhale. Exhale.
Ah, what a lovely day!
Smiling gently, he turned toward the unmoving Green Paradise Egg and stared at it expectantly.

The blue stopped in front of them, and yes, Uuni flat out forgot to breathe.
This ended up being a very good self defense as the blue hunkered down. "Oh no. Don't--" was about all she managed to get out before the blue knocked her off her feet and had her making buttprints in the sand.
Everything after might have been a blur. At first she had to get her wind back, but then she had to let out a disbelieving cough of laughter. Had she not been humiliated enough already, she thought she might start crying on top of it all.
She wiped a straying tear from her face (was that the pain or the joy?), and sucked in a breath. You're very heavy, She retorted with much less finesse than her dragon had pounced her with. The grin was not leaving her face now.
You should not stay too long in the dirt, Mine! Someone may think you are sand and step on you.
The, luckily small, blue then moved so Uuni could get up, her robes now dirty with sand. She didn't even bother to brush them off, passing Avery a sly grin and heading off in the direction she'd seen the green go. If Makareth hadn't been bounding ahead so enthusiastically, (and making sure that people had seen what he'd done!), Uuni didn't think she would have found it to the spot where the dragonets were to eat.

Amoreth looked on, the initial shock of eggshells cracking starting to wear off to give way to a new flood of excitement as the Pink Raptor egg shook. A foot appeared where the blue had breached the shell, drawing it back in in favor of poking his nose out to take his first gulp of air. Amoreth wondered how that would taste to a Dragon, taking one's first breath. But then, as he looked outward, the egg finally produced its treasure and the boy wiggled his way out to stand on the sands. The blue seemed to take an odd joy in the day, as if he were savoring it and enjoying it as much as they all were. Haha, what an intriguing bunch of hatchlings had been produced already!
He turned to look at the Green Paradise egg, his expectant expression giving the impression that he was awaiting the arrival of his clutchmate. Well, what a curious little guy! Keen to wait for the birth of a friend before finding His. She couldn't argue with that--she'd want a friend with her for this, too!

Laughing Nadia watched as the newest hatchling peeked out from its shell, looked around and then broke free only to stare at the green paradise egg. Watching the hatchling she grinned wider and bounced on her toes as she wondered who was going to impress with this dragon.

Trista wondered if her face was going to permanently set in a smile, but she couldn't help it. The second blue was being so cute. She had to wonder why he was staring at his clutch mate though. Hopefully there wouldn't be any trouble.

Another blue...so far, a male heavy clutch. Not that she particularly minded. Male dragons were great assets to a Weyr. The little dragon's nonchalance about the whole thing was pretty cute, she thought, but kept it to herself.

"Ah!"
Another egg had cracked, Panata had seen it! It was a Blue, like the one before, and although it didn't come out all the way Panata was very sure of this. He titled his head to the side though as the dragon hid, and he wondered why so many of these were in the hiding or waiting spirit. Not that he found it to be a bad thing, in fact he thought it wonderful! It just meant there would be more surprises, right?
He smiled brightly, watching and waiting. Good things always came in pairs!
- - -
Shy, perhaps? No, waiting. For a friend.
Leicha frowned at the egg that had just hatched, a little bitterness in his expression compared to the boy next to him. While have friends wasn't so bad...he just couldn't see friendships lasting - even those from birth. How would a Dragon take betrayal? Would they feel it the same way as a human, or would they not even recall the incident?
He shook his head to rid himself of the thoughts, and merely went back to observing. that Bronze still had not moved, so nothing to worry over there, but what if this hatchling should come out and wander like the Green from before? No, still nothing to fear.

Ahhh, they would be like two peas in a pod, then? Sellae's lips twitched as she watched the new blue look at its companion as though waiting; would they try and Choose together then?

Amelia watched the spectacle from her seat, mesmerized by the antics of the hatchlings and the calls of congratulations as the Candidates began to Impress. She couldn't help herself but laugh when the blue and green dragonets made their way out onto the sands and among the hopeful boys and girls. They were lucky, even from the brief amount of time she'd watched them she could tell they were dragons of great personality.
And now, another blue had joined the ranks it seemed - who would he choose, she wondered, leaning forward in her seat slighty.

Arolon had expected this. Pink Raptor Egg and his sibling leaned on eachother. It was only right that they impress together. Those two would hopefully stay close for the rest of their lives. "Thank you." He said again, remembering the soothing calmness the two had given him. He used that memory now to relax and stop worrying.
The bronze would be okay. He was just patient, shy, afraid. All dragonets must impress though or they between. The little one seemed okay, just scared. All he needed was to peek out of the egg and find his. Then everything would be okay with him. Still he waited patiently for him.

Zia wiggled her toes in her soft sandals while the blue scrutinized each girl for His. Ooh, and he found his girl, she looked so familiar! The dark haired girl struggled to come up with a name, perhaps they hadn't met afterall. Zia often forgot who she's met and furthermore forgot names.
Hatchings were different for everyone, some were excited and expected every dragon that appeared to be for them, others waited patiently for the right moment, and well Zia, she wanted nothing more than to chat to the masses of candidates all standing together.
"What a silly dragon," she commented on the blue who peered out through a hole in his shell. She muttered to a girl beside her. Why's he staring at that other egg?

The blue nudged the egg out of concern, not impatience. As a reward, he was given a comforting shake. Still, his friend would not grace the sands just yet, and he seemed to be fine with that once he'd confirmed they were just taking their time. A popular notion among the clutch, apparently.
Like a watchful mother--nevermind he was a boy and his gaze could never rival the intensity of Dorath--the bronze stretched up to look out at the world again. Left. Right. Up. Down. He locked eyes with the blue, and was greeted with an approving croon, to which he replied with his own. Then, content, the bronze sank back down away from the eyes of the public.
On the other hand, the blue was bound to attract all of them. He went to neither the male nor female side, but instead right for the stands, much to the excitement, shock and horror of some of it's residents.
Once there, he stood, staring up at all the people. Searching.
