...Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed Shoulder the burden of the past that cannot be erased; don't throw away your will to live...[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ] →Blossom let Tibarn usher her along in silence, looking at her toes quietly. She didn't exactly blend in with her costume on, did she? Blossom let out a little puff of breath and looked back up as she approached Sophia. The jealous look she gave to Sophia's utterly long hair immediately turned into one of surprise as Tibarn suggested mending a dress for her. "Wha-What? I don't... I mean, if you really--" Blossom started. Sophia was a crew member, didn't she have better things to do with her time?
She didn't have time to finish her response, though, as Sophia was soon guiding the girl out of the ballroom and just outside into the hall. Their destination was right there, the door standing in front of them, and Blossom felt a little awkward as Sophia held out the dress for her to take. Even Sophia, a short woman, had to look down to see Blossom's face, and she felt her face heating up as she took the bolt of red fabric from her after setting her bottled stone on the floor.
"Of course. Thank you," Blossom murmured gratefully. She disappeared behind a long, tall folding screen and immediately started at taking her costume apart, removing the corset, blouse, skirts... She realized she had no other shoes, but had to ignore that as she put on the dress with her pirate boots underneath. She had the rings from her gloves around her wrists, previously hidden by the blouse, and her scarf, but the boots didn't look too bad with this dress. Even if it got trimmed, they wouldn't be fully visible, anyway. And that bandanna, with a little bit of clever knotting and a bit of thought, made a nice bow to tie around a tiny little ponytail from her short hair.
Blossom emerged from behind the screen, smiling sheepishly at Sophia as she held her skirts up. She picked her bottle back up and let the fabric tumble to the floor, hiding her feet from view. "Just... just a little too long," she said sheepishly.← You'd better forget everything. Remember. . . your different Life?XXX You'd better forget everything. xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!" Mihira was distressed. What if he had seen her? She couldn't go out now, and risk it. She wouldn't be able to bear it. She'd just have to wait until he left, so that she could slither off. But until then, it looked like was going to have to be stuck behind this-
Just then, somebody came behind the line of pillars and leaned against the one beside her. Mihira stood stiffly, her eyes wide. She gulped, not knowing what to do, and her face turned bright red. All she could think about what that Heath was now right next her! Just leaning on a pillar, RIGHT THERE! Her heart pounded faster in her chest. She stammered indistinguishable parts of words.
Finally, she decided to speak up. "H-h-he..." She gulped. "S-Sir.. H-hea.... ...Sir... H-he... Sir..." She then fainted, behind the pillar. The sound of her hitting the floor wouldn't be loud enough for people not nearby to hear.

Now I'm stuck here But I don't belong here ~Ninian~Seeing Nils about to cry only made Ninian feel worse. Her little brother hugged her gently, as if not entire certain she was real. She held him to her, wrapping her arms around him, glad to see him again after all this time, though it felt shorter to her that it probably did to him. And yet, for the first time in months, something from her dreams was real--Nils was really there. Both siblings felt the need to confirm this, sorrow and joy mingling together in their expressions.
"I-I'm here, Nils," she whispered, voice cracking as a knot seemed to form in her throat.
What was she supposed to say? She was so relieved to see him, and felt absolutely awful at causing him even a moment's pain. I never should have left, she thought, and not for the first time. She wondered if he had tried to search for his sister. But of course he had; for most of their lives, they had been each other's whole world, only now just beginning to branch out. Even so, being separated for so long hurt both of them. And for Nils to not know where Ninian was for months on end. . . .
"I'm sorry, Nils," she managed to say. "I--I know I never sh-should have left . . . I'm so sorry. . . ."
Instinctively she squeezed him tighter, making sure he really was there, safe in her arms, but that was a mistake. She let go, wincing, a hand reaching to hold her side. "Ah. . . ." I wanna be where you are Maybe I'm not so far from home

Ah, this wouldn't do, not at all! He'd simply been absolutely deplorable lately! Arriving late to that Hostess Club he was looking into, and on its opening day, no less! And here he is, arriving late to a party heralding international peace. Oh, this was unacceptable! Sure, he had to make sure that he looked especially regal, today, but it shouldn't have taken that long! A man of his caliber should have had a more elegant piece of formal wear, but that appeared to be out of the question.
The man rushed, in a slight huff, towards the castle. The soft wind rippled his coat, a slight chill running up his spine as he gave a slight nod to the guards at the door, silently slinking inside, weaving around the mingling guests. A few sneaky slides placed him right near a remote corner, one in which he attained a proper nobleman's composure. So, deciding to catch the small breath he had lost, he relaxed ever so slightly against the wall, expecting someone to approach him before long.

Approaching Castle Learania, Aruna slithered to the main entrance. As she passed the guards, they commented on the nagini’s outfit. “Nice costume,” one said to her. “Is it hard to move around in that gorgon tail?” another asked. Aruna tried to hide her annoyance of their remarks behind a smile. “You have no idea,” she chuckled.
After entering the castle, the unique woman made her way to the ballroom. Aruna straightened out her maroon, form-fitting dress and fixed its straps. She had to look stunning for this wondrous event. After all it was her first time attending such an elegant party in a castle(believe it or not).
Slithering into the grand room, she scanned the guests, looking for one in particular. “He’s not here yet,” Aruna asked sounding a bit shocked. The nagini sighed softly before moving towards one of the walls. She coiled her snake tail behind her so that no one would accidentally step on it.

Lance shrugged as Ed introduced herself. "Really? Well, sure, it's not as common a girl's name as others, but compared to some people I've met..." Lance shivered a bit to signalize a bit of his discomfort with those people, "It's not that strange. Women named Bob, men named Clarisse...when you've travelled as much as I have, little surprise you anymore."
When Ed brought up the guest of honors, Lance shrugged yet again. "I don't really know exactly, but from what I gathered, he's someone important from somewhere else. Meaning, err, commoners like us shouldn't approach him casually. I just got back from a journey, so I haven't caught up to date yet. All I know is that I don't need to talk to him, and I should refrain from doing so unless spoken to. Better to be safe than sorry."
Lance then took note of the red-headed snake woman that just wal--slithered in. "If we go back to strange things...for example..." Lance paused as he motioned subtly with his head towards her. "You see that woman over there? The one that's half reptile? At first glance, you'd think it'd be a Halloween costume. After all, it seems more likely than that she'd be an actual, what do you call them, naga? Nagini? Either way, I've met a group of that creature once, so what if it's actually a real one? Then that would be quite strange, wouldn't you think?"

"Well, whatever makes him happy, even if he has to munch on my hair. Least I have crackers to keep him at bay." the young lord said with a sigh in response to Sue and Mel before he grabbed Darko from his shoulder. "Say hi Darko before you go back into the pocket."
The little imp chirped in what sounded like a greeting before it was slipped back into its temporary home. He then heard a voice he hadn't heard before compliment him on his kick. He turned to face another swordman with hair almost as red as his. For a moment, Roy thought this man was another lost family member, but no. He caught himself from thinking that. For one thing, the features were different. He couldn't recall any males in his family having long red hair like that.
"Thanks. Looks like my time in the wilderness paid off if a warrior such as yourself can give such a compliment." he said with a grin. "I'm Roy by the way...you are?"
He heard Jaren speak and he sighed, turning his attention away from the red-haired swordman to look at which woman he was attempting to pick up now. Some woman with long bluish hair. He looked back at the swordman then froze.
Wait...was that...?
He did a double take. Sure enough, it was his mother. Jaren was hitting on his mother. The b*****d should be thankful that he had already run off to the kitchen, or he would have received another kick to the face. He apologized to the man as Ziaram walked up to talk to the foreign swordman.
With that out of the way, he approached Ninian slowly. Uncle had already made the first approach, and of course...the fact that the shotabard managed to wrap his arms around something solid was enough to convince the young lord that this was indeed his mother, and not some figment of his imagination.
"Mother..." he said softly, then walked over to her to give his Mother a hug, wanting to catch Uncle in the middle for a dragon sammich. But just then, the dancer had pulled away from her brother to hold her side. He blinked in surprise.
"Mother...? Are you all right?" he asked her softly.
No she wasn't all right. What was he saying? She had an eye patch over one of her eyes now that he had a better look at her. Of course she wasn't all right!
"Let's get you somewhere to sit...don't move too much if you're in pain Mother..." he said softly, reaching his hand out for her to take so he could lead her to a table for her to rest.

Tibarn closed his eyes and laughed softly as she struggled to cover up in front of the King of Hawks. "Relax, Annis. Ulki told me about the bet you made with Large. I've been keeping tabs on you inside the city, trying to keep watch over my kin, you know," he murmured, then his face split into a grin. "It suits you, dear. You look very... natural in it." He winked, then responded to her curtsy by pressing his fist to his hand once more and spreading his wings.
"Now, Annis, I did want to ask if you were interested in helping me out some, but first... from what Ulki's told me, you--"
He stopped very suddenly, his ear twitching. He knew that voice, and he heard where it was coming from. The Hawk King's sensitive ears felt grated by the voice of that loathsome woman, the sound of her fist connecting with someone's face, the sound of a shifting tray of meatballs, and the kitchen doors swinging open...
"I-- excuse me, Annis. I'd like to speak with you later, but there's a bit of an emergency..." He smiled tersely as he set down his plate on a nearby table, then turned and stormed across the floor at a jog as couples parted to make way, and he burst into the kitchen through the ballroom-side doors.
"... Drop the tray, Vaida, and nobody gets hurt." He paused, glancing at the unconscious man lying in the doorway behind Vaida. "... Except that guy."Ganon
Ganon was hidden among the orchestra, chatting with the percussion section, which made him hard to spot-- tall as he was, he was standing behind the vertical chimes, which rose ten feet off the ground. "Okay, so an extra practice on Thursday, guys, 'cause I want to do this at the show at the Hostess Club on Saturday and I want it to be right. And--" He paused as he looked up, spotting a flash of red hair and scales, and he smirked as he reached up for his ceremonial feather cloak. He'd had it in his caravan for a long time, as a reminder of where he came from. He kept it in good condition, because he often wore it for storytelling shows-- the rainbow colors of the woven feathers of many different jungle birds draped around his shoulders as he fixed the clasp, adjusted his sash, and smiled. "Talk to you guys later," he said. "I have a date."
He slipped out as inconspicuously as a huge rainbow-garbed reptile can and made his way around the room toward his scarlet beauty, reaching up to slide his claw over his quill-hawk, making sure it was all in line before pulling the foremost one forward to hang just over his face, and leaned on the wall behind Aruna. "Boo," he said casually. "Been waiting for you."

I shall now demonstrate the Law of Sacae… Tribesmen fighting with all they have for the sake of one another! ~)Sue(~ "Miss... Ninian." Sue spoke the name of the dragonness that she'd reunited with not too long ago in the Hostess Club. At the time, General Roy's mother seemed to be fine, and really, she was. It was just the eyepatch that concerned the nomad, but... Ninian wasn't bothered by it, at least by the looks of it. Sue put a hand on each of the dragon siblings' heads. "Now, now." She said, trying to be a voice of reason, like Rath often was. "There's no need for tears, either of you. This is a happy occasion, right General Roy?" The nomad winked at him, a 'catch my drift?' wink. ~)Nomad Trooper(~ Tell me, is your reasoning bent? If so, allow me to straighten it with my >--arrows-- > and o=|lllswordll>

Charice nodded, listening to Leon's short story. It was refreshing to not be talking about on-the-job-type-stuff for a change. Who knew, maybe Ghis was wrong in saying 'Tragedy always happens o' a holiday'. Here was Leon, talking about listening to bards and carving pumpkins. Sounded pretty anti-tragic to her. "Believe me, I wouldn't mind getting a vacation myself," Charice said. "It's just that I'm the only flier in the Watch, so I'm always needed for this or that."
Being the only flier in the Watch (that is, not including the castle guard) meant that she was the one who was the "blockade", flying in front of fleeing suspects to trap them between herself and a pursuit.
"It's annoying sometimes... but it sounds like you had a relaxing week. And that new cafe you mentioned? How was it, because I've been meaning to look into it... is it really owned by a Hostess Club? Did they just... umm... detach from the Host Club, or something?"

I ain't givin' in, no matter how hard th' fight before me looks t' be!
>{Leon}< "I 'eard th' Hostess Club formed on it's own." Leon answered Charice, thinking of... the cute maid's outfits worn in the opening, of all things. But what else could he think of, he WAS a red-blooded male, as far as he knew. "... an' I feel yer pain, Charice. I'm th' only officer in Cavalry. Guess who hast'a go an' train th' brazen fools who wanna ride horses?"
He felt a scowl coming on, and resisted. He knew better than to put that face on, for Amelia was bound to be somewhere and fulfill that promise of punching him (however lightly it would feel against even this makeshift armor) for making that face. Instead, he urged himself to smile. He was wondering if his winged comrade could tell if it was forced.>{Watch Lieutenant}< If ya just bel'eve, then... ev'n if th' world be torn asunder, vict'ry will be yers to hold!

Melethia turned to see Roy going to Nils and Ninian. She didn't mind it one bit till she heard Roy said mother. She swallowed her food and coughed a bit out of some surprise some of Melethia's food went down the wrong pipe. Out of all the stories Roy was telling he didn't mention much of his mother. So it was a little surprising for Melethia to see Roy's mother. Melethia stepped away a little bit and tried to settle down her cough. She was just hoping no one noticed the whole cause of her coughing.

→→→→→→The hands I'd kept clean→→→→→→Now look dirty→→→→→→Before I can doubt my memories→→→→→→My memories are doubting me...Annis felt her face heat at the laughter, and even as he tried to reassure her, Annis only found herself growing more and more awkward. She opened her mouth to speak--Ulki had been keeping an eye on her? Was he going to notify her of this whether or not she wore this trash?!--but the following comment only made her face blaze scarlet again.
"N-Natural?!" Annis half-squeaked. She crossed her arms instinctively across her front, wings loosely starting to fold forwards, as if to hide her. She lowered her eyes to her toes, studying a small scuff at the toe of her left boot as Tibarn spoke up again. As much as she knew she ought to have looked back at his face when he was talking to her, her own face was still red, so... that'd just be awkward.
And give him more reason to ******** tease me!
"Now, Annis, I did want to ask if you were interested in helping me out some, but first... from what Ulki's told me, you--"
Annis looked up, hearing the shouts just moments after Tibarn did. She clearly didn't understand what was going on, even if Tibarn did, so as he excused himself and hurried to the kitchen, Annis stepped back just a little, resting one hand against the table.
I what? Did Ulki 'keep tabs on me' while I was out on contract? ...Oh s**t, is the Hawk King pissed at me?
Annis put one hand to her head, pushing her bangs off of her face. No. No. Overreacting. Deep breath. He probably just wanted to bring up the involvement at... at June or something. Annis put a hand against the Tervingi Crest, the necklace resting neatly at her bosom, black and crimson red standing out against her pale skin. But... if that was the case, he would've already talked to me, it's not like he doesn't have the power to find me himself, so... what could he need me for?
Annis watched the swinging door to the kitchen finally stop moving, then moved to the other side of the refreshment table. Avoid him, or wait here and risk bad news?
Fight or flight? Fight or flight?
Annis hurried on over to Leon, one arm across her chest, the other holding her skirts up so she wouldn't trip. "Leon! So! Who's your friend? C'mon, you can tell me!" Annis chirped, almost a little bit too friendly, but she didn't quite care at this point. Annis ruffled the brunette's hair and grinned, then looked over at Charice. Her smile warmed just a little; she didn't seem half as insane as some of the other new people she'd seen, which was definitely a plus. "Hi. I'm Annis." Aruna was startled when she heard someone say “boo” behind her. The crimson-haired nagini quickly spun around to see who it was. Instantly she recognized the large, decorated reptile. “Ganon,” she said with glee. “I hope you weren’t waiting very long. I did not mean to take much time in getting prepared. I just wanted to lovely for you.” Aruna winked.
“Speaking of looking extravagant,” she started as the half snake woman’s gaze fixed on his rainbow-colored feathered cloak. “You’re quite handsome in those garbs this evening.”
