I laugh myself to sleep Sometimes I drive so fast It's my lullaby Just to feel the danger Professor McKay Ew, it makes me sound old, doesn't it? So let's try...Emily To walk within the lines Would make my life so boringEverything happened so fast. First it was just Emily teasing Trey, her lips barely brushing his... and then there was the noise from behind.... Trey turning.... Some girl freaking out, not to mention the the guy still standing there...
Regardless of what just happened, this was not good.
Trey went off after the girl after giving her a look. And, Emily was left to wonder... Who was that girl?
She didn't get much time to think on it, because instead of following after both of them, the guy.... Emily tried to remember his name, but she had a big class. He looked familiar was all she could tell. Well, he was coming toward her instead.
And after what he said, the thought came. Could it be.... Dov? Trey had told her about a girl he left back in his home town... but, that seemed pretty far fetched out here. Then again, why else would they react like that?
Emily bit her lips, contemplating. There was already a rumor, t totally widespread, about a professor sleeping with a student... and for now, no one was named in the rumor, as far as she knew. He had no proof... but she really did not need him going around telling people either.
"Garett who?"
Hey well, he looked like he wanted to kick Trey's a** already, telling him yes wasn't going to help. She didn't even weigh Trey against the possibility of losing her job- didn't cross her mind.
And besides, she was good at playing dumb.
I want to know that I Have been to the extreme
So knock me off my feet Come on now give it to me Anything to make me feel alive

T r e y|Garett|. never made it as a wise man. xxxxxxxcouldn't cut it as a poor man stealin' Trey frowned and bit the inside of his lip. Well this was one guilt trip he knew was coming. It wasn't anything she was saying in particular, but just how she was saying it. She looked genuinely pained, and he had been the cause of it all. So, at least, answers, he owed her that much at least. His jaw clenched, some sort of anxious reflex, or something that happened when he thought too hard and nodded.
"Me either." he said, in regard to the class comment. "Alright, sure." he agreed.
The idea of going back to Dov's dorm room after having not seen her in over 5 years, well he didn't know if it was quite the situation he imagined himself being in when he met her again. Then again, none of what had just happened in the past half hour or so was planned exactly. They could be adults about this. So going with it seemed to be the only thing to do. tired of livin like a blind manxxxxxxxxxxxxxx sick of sight without a sense of feelin

Give me your paranoiaI'll walk the plank for youSous la guillotine, jusqu' a la finWilling to suffer for you ▂▃▅▆█ The blonde woman in front of him gave him a i-have-no idea-what-you're-talking-about look which quickly irritated him. He really wanted to go after Dov, but what good did it do if he couldn't help her in the least. He wanted so badly just to tell this lady to quit her s**t so he could everything over with, if there was anything to get over.
Of course, when it came to women, he had no balls so he imply decided to follow along with this stupid game of 'who's who'. "G-Trey...Garett." It took a lot of self-restraint to be able to say the words clearly, but he'd managed to pull them out. Hatred and Jealousy usually got the worst in him and show it off for everyone to see.
"Look, I don't care if you two are having a fling or whatever, but I just need to know who he is." Hell, yeah he needed to know! He needed to know for both his and Dov's sake that he wasn't the guy. That this was all just a big mistake they could blow off together with a nice bottle of Jack. He needed to know whether or not he stood a chance anymore. That was it.
Because for as much as he'd like too, he wouldn't go out and kick the guy's a**. That would only hurt Dov and reflect blady upon him. Even if he grew enough anger to really be able to tear heads, the only thing he'd break would be a punching bag and maybe a beer jug. He couldn't do anything, because before that one girl, he was jello. Nothing else, just plain, old strawberry jello. ▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀ I'll cover for you, take a hit I'm your alibi I got your back I'm living every day just to die

T r e y|Garett|. never made it as a wise man. xxxxxxxcouldn't cut it as a poor man stealin' Trey followed her as she led the way down stairs and corridors, and several times he thought about turning on his heel and walking in the other direction. Suppose it was just nature for him to do so now.
Did he really want to talk about all of this now? Now hardly seemed the time, or the place. But then again, there never seemed a right time to do the things you'd rather not.
As expected she suddenly broke the silence and asked him why.
Trey was caught of guard a little, they weren't even there yet and she was already starting the interogation. He hadn't planned what to say yet. Mainly because he didn't know what he could say that wouldn't cause her to flip out on him.
"It's not as simple-" he started, as they got to her dorm and she began unlocking the door and stepped in. He stood by the doorway and leant on it slightly, not feeling as though he should go in.
"You know why I left." he said finally, guilt painted on his face as his answer conjured up unpleasant memories of leaving.
"That town was nothing to me and I was nothing to it. I had to get out." he said, remembering their last conversation they had all those years ago.
At 17 he didn't have a lot of stuff to pack, but he was walking around the empty house picking up things that he probably didn't need either way. He had tried to pack his clothes quietly, to not wake the sleeping teenage Dov in his bed. But being a light sleeper, his efforts did no good and she woke up. What started as a relatively calm conversation turned into shouting, and tears being held back on Trey's part, before finally leaving and not looking back.
As a youngster he had always raved on about packing up his stuff and running away, going anywhere without a clue. It'd be like a wicked cool adventure, the younger him would say. But maybe it was all just child's play in Dov's mind, and she had simply grown out of it. Back then he had always had the idea that she would come with him, but, guess not. tired of livin like a blind manxxxxxxxxxxxxxx sick of sight without a sense of feelin

" Funny the way it is,if you think about it One kid walks 10 miles to school, another's dropping out Funny the way it is, not right or wrong On a soldier's last breath his baby's being born" ♦♦♦ Dov turned around as she walked into her dorm, him standing in the doorway. Dov frowned and crossed her arms over he chest, surveying Trey and shaking her head. "No Trey, I don't know why you left. I still don't know why you left. I mean come on, what the hell was I supposed to think, just the night before you were all "I love you forever" and talking about how we would run away. together" she said, putting extreme emphasis in the word together. She had woken up, wondering where the warm body next to her had gone, only to find Trey with a bag in his hand packing up and saying the same crap 5 years ago that he just did. "What was so important that you couldn't just wait, at least till we were done with high school?" um, yeah! She had only been 16 years old for crying out loud, she wasn't even legal enough to drop out of school!! She sighed, turning around to go sit on the small couch in her equally small living room and waiting for Trey to, hopefully, come inside. T r e y|Garett|. never made it as a wise man. xxxxxxxcouldn't cut it as a poor man stealin' "Jesus, I left because I hated it! Simple as!" he said, his replies becoming more and more animated as the conversation grew more irritable.
Trey raised his eyebrow at her. Wait till they were done with high school? Uhm. No.
"What, waste my time just so my failures could be made official? You kidding me? Another year at that s**t hole and they would've kicked me out themselves." he replied as if it were the most obvious answer, and if her memory was as good as it was proving to be, she should have figured that.
"You know what Dov, I may have left but you didn't exactly come running after me either. And hell, who are we kidding, everyone knew you were capable of doing far better than me so I don't see why me leaving was such a big deal. If anything you should be thanking me." Granted he was now just being bitter, but that was a dig especially to her parents, wherever they were now. Throughout their relationship, no matter how many years of knowing each other, and pretty much growing up together it was so easy for them to turn their noses up.
"I'm sorry I hurt you, really I am. But I'm not sorry I left." The words seem harsh, and as if he didn't care about her anymore, but he did. He just couldn't regret leaving. How could he? It killed him at the time, yes, but if he hadn't left he wouldn't have Kim. Or have met Emily. And bets were that if he had stayed her parents would've finally broken them up by sending her to a different college and then just have drifted to being acquaintances, which in his mind, was somehow a worse situation.
"Maybe this was a bad idea." he said finally, calmer now. This was the first time they had seen each other in years, and whatever said now would be partially out of shock on his part. Half of him was still in awe that she was actually just steps away from him. And arguing wasn't the sort of reunion he had dreamt about. Far from it.
Trey looked down at the ground, unable to look at her anymore. "I can't do this now." He looked up to meet her dark eyes briefly. "It's too much." he said finally before looking away again and pushing himself off the side of the doorway and walking away around the corner. He pushed a door open and stepped out into the sunlight and took a deep breath in.
He couldn't believe she was here. He couldn't believe he had just been talking to her. He couldn't believe being around her still gave him those ridiculous butterfly feelings. And damnit, he couldn't believe that after all these years of planning what he'd say to her, he said none of it.
Trey yelled in frustration and kicked angrily at the ground before making his was hastily towards his car. He got in and sent a text to Emily before starting the engine.
What a ******** morning. You okay? I'll stop by at your apartment later to pick up my stuff. T.
He dropped his phone in the passenger seat next to him and made his way to visit the one girl who he'd managed to never let down, so far. tired of livin like a blind manxxxxxxxxxxxxxx sick of sight without a sense of feelin

" Funny the way it is,if you think about it One kid walks 10 miles to school, another's dropping out Funny the way it is, not right or wrong On a soldier's last breath his baby's being born" ♦♦♦ Didn't exactly come running after him?!? "You know what you piece of s**t, I was in ******** shock I couldn't breath, let alone run!! I was- How the ******** do you think I wound up here?!?" she yelled in frustration. She had sat on his bed starring at that empty doorway for over an hour before finally breaking out into tears. Her parents had found her a few days later, still sitting on the damn bed, still sobbing. All she did was cry and sleep actually until she got tired of her parents telling her that it was better that she left, she finally just ran away, to the one place he had talked about the most. And he wasn't there either, she had thought she had seen him a few time, but it always seemed to be her imagination. Finally she just gave up...
And there he was walking out again she ran out after him, only to see him get in his car and leave. Go figure, he had been here all along, parked outside her ******** window almost, and she had to find him making out with some teacher...
She went back to her dorm, curled up in a ball and took out her cell phone and sent another text to her best friend. I need you. "A bomb blast brings a building crashing to the floor. You hear the laughter while the children play war"

¸¸¸ღღღ Courtney couldn't help but laugh. Her teacher was awestruck. He obviously had no clue what to say. What? Was he trying to actually find something to say?
Of course, he replied in spanish and returned to the front of class. Wasn't College supposed to be different from high school? Ha. Well. In ways, she supposed so. But gossip was always around, no matter how old you were. Or what town you lived in.
She sat down, crossing her legs slowly. Her eyes never left profe, not at all. But the kid next to her whispered, "You have to see him after class. Thats what he said ...I mean..." He sounded so damn nervous every time he opened his mouth.
She smirked, thats all she could do, really. Hook. Line. And sinker.

So let's try...Emily To walk within the lines Would make my life so boringEmily aloud a thoughtful look to come over her face as if she had to think about it, which was silly, but she was stalling for time. It wouldn't do her any good to completely deny who Trey was.
And that was right about when she saw him walk back down the hallway through the open door. This guy, whatever his name was, wouldn't see, because he was facing the other way. She moved her eyes and caught him heading toward the parking lot through the window. Ok.
Her eyes returned back to the guy in front of her, and she feigned sudden realization. "Ooooh, Treeey Garett. Yes. Anyway, can we move this along now? Students are arriving, and class is about to start." Which was true, about 10 students had filed in by then, and a couple were looking at them. This dude didn't exactly look like he was just asking a question. He seemed too anxious. But nothing bad would be suspected, since it could be about a test or something. Still, drawing attention was unnecessary.
"So I would suggest taking your seat, or doing whatever it is you think you need to do now."
Emily turned away from him a moment after saying so and went back to the bored. She pulled the screen in front of it, letting it roll back up and started writing on the board, beginning with their objective for the day.
Her phone then buzzed in her pocket, but she ignored it for the current moment.

Give me your paranoiaI'll walk the plank for youSous la guillotine, jusqu' a la finWilling to suffer for you ▂▃▅▆█
"Tsk!" Jesse almost hissed. Was this woman for real? His mind was already crowded with questions as it was, and she for one, was not helping make things any easier. Students were filing like flys do when they see honey. In the end, he didn't even get a chance to ask her anything else.
To make things worse, she sent him on his way, putting on the professional mask that just looked so damn stupid on her aging face. Jesse bit his tounge in self restraint, trying to avoid a total drama. His heart rate had droaned out the rest of the noise to the point where he couldn't stand it anymore! The broad, tan man's shoulders hunched up as he stormed out of the large classroom. There was no way in hell, he'd be staying today.
Even then, as soon as he stepped out, he big ol' teddy bear side came out. It's not that he hated the teacher, he was jsut really irritable when it came to (pirujas), so of course some of the shock had just come over him. He almost wanted to go back and apologize for his rude behavior. Almost.
Instead, Jesse yanked out his small piece of plastic he called a cellphone only to find two new text messages from dov. Both stated that she wanted him there by her side. However, it was the second message that scared him the most. Blunt, and simple, the text only had three words which only made him worry more.
So what did the idiot do? He raced down the corriders like a mad man until he reached Dov's dorm. Not many students were around this time of day, so he eased by as if he belonged in this section. Even when it wasn't a co-ed dorm. He only knocked once on the door before just barging in anyway with his spare key. " Dov?" He called out, almost all the anger in his voice from before had melted away. In his mind he was telling himself that Dov blew him off and was now getting ready to go out for a drink. When he found her though, the sight wasn't pretty. The tough babe image he'd had in his head of Dov shattered on the floor to pieces when he saw her hunched over. Alone. ▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀ I'll cover for you, take a hit I'm your alibi I got your back I'm living every day just to die

Like a sick little puppy would to his master, Jesse slowly made his way to Dov's bed, where he simply sat down by the fragile girl. He told hold of her limp arms and carefully placed them on his lap. It was his own way of saying she could climb up into his arms and sob for hours on end if she chose to. "What happened?" He dared to ask, though the answer was quite clear- that b*****d broke her heart.
His chest flared at the thought of his name. Ugh, that Trey kid ad pissed him off from the moment Dov had even mentioned her first ex. It wasn't the fact that there had been people in her life before him, but rather that because of that one person, he never even stood a chance.
He'd never seen Dov so vulnerable before. He could tell all her layers of protection had disappeared- leaving nothing but the pale beauty that had taken his breath away so many times before, broken and hurt. Not hurt in the sense where she had a small a cut on her knee, but visibily hurting from the scar left behind from so many years ago.
Jesse let out an uneven sigh. He wanted to ask her so many things, but didn't want to upset her more than what she already was. ▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀ I'll cover for you, take a hit I'm your alibi I got your back I'm living every day just to die
