I remember a rather odd experience...I just read about astral pojection and wanted to try something I read online to help me. It was mainly an excerisce to get me used to controlling my self from going into deepsleep or a dream state. This excersice was to go to sleep on your back and bend your elbows so that your hands were pointing up but not using any muscle power to keep it up. After time, you would fall asleep and your hands would fall causing you to wake up and realize the feeling between sleep and meditation. After a long frustrating excersise I decided to call it a night and actually go to sleep after having a long day dream about what it would be like to astral project.
Strangely, I had a dream about leaving my body and having a headache at the same time. I was still in my room but I was only expanding my escence to every corner while retreating back to my body scared I might die or something. It was natural instict considering I thought it was a dream and all which is what I dismissed it as when I woke up. The only thing that bothered me was that I woke up very fast, as if someone woke me up and I found one of my lights not working. It turned it sometime during the night the light bulb broke and I mean it literally popped. Glass was on the floor and no one in the house said they were in my room. Considering that the lights were off, I don't see how the bulb could've broken...
All things said...I believe I may have had an out of body experience. Can someone tell me if they've ever experienced one and somehow altered the world just as I supposedly may have done? Has it ever been recorded that you could effect the physical world in an out of body experience and if so, does it have anything to do with the energies of the area, such as electromagnetism or wind? I just wanted to shed some light on this subject and what the restrictions of astral projection really were.

Astral project is an interesting concept.
It's something that brings back a flood of memories for me. Most are painful, but some are plesant. It is possible, and leaving my body and astral projection have come very easily to me.
That's all.

stare stupid one line posts...at least the last two meant something. I'm sorry but that was just blantant stupid spam. Would it be all right for me to hex someone out of stupidity? stressed nay...
Anyway, I was wondering if some of you (who were serious) could be a bit more detailed about your experiences. I'm sure some of us would be much more interested in how it was and what you did to train to attain such an experience rather than just...knowing you did it. I mean kudos and all to you guys, but I wish you could be more thorough.

This is the second post i have seen where he has done this. If i was a Mod, I would be warning you not to do it again or be baned... However, Aylia might not be so nice... Stop the stupidity. Its mornic to post crap such as that. If you are not serious about Wicca, this guild, and are just here to be annoying - just leave. Aylia, forgive my flaming and being off topic, but I felt it needed to be said... Edit: here is the other post i am speaking about: Other Post

on one of my first conscious AP attempts that was successful my whole body felt numb and sorta tingly like i couldnt move even if i wanted to and then my forehead in the middle of it the place i have heard being called the third eye started tingling and then it was like i was being pulled through a tube through it, i felt like i was being sucked through something even though my body wasnt moving, next thing i knew i was looking down on myself. It was... kinda freaky cuz i wasnt expecting it.

I've been half-interested in projection for quite some time, but I can't even determine what is considered the twilight zone between conscious and unconscious thought. My only hint of possibly ever come close in my case was when I was woken up by the alarm one morning, and after shutting it off, while standing, I thought to myself, "Hey! I'm barely awake! Maybe I should try leaving my body!" So I tried willing myself out, and thought for a moment that I was getting there, but then I started to kneel and fall over, and I had the feeling of being slung right back in and with a jolt as if I was ricocheting back and forth inside of myself. ^^;

I've been blessed to have achieved it twice (the only two times I tried). It was sort of a while ago, but I still remember it. I did it through meditating, which I'm only good at when I'm not thinking about it, like a lot of things I do (like if I'm actually concentrating on the task, conciously controlling myself, it won't work), and decided to project myself to right outside my door. I guess I could feel myself leaving my body, I felt light and drifty, and I kinda twitched (just so you know Anaithnid), and then I was outside. It sort of happened gradually, not all at once. I felt the cool cement underneath my feet, I felt and smelled the breeze. I walked (I think) downstairs and I remember looking up at the trees, and admiring the stars and the moon. Then I went back into my body and fell asleep. Sometime later, I did it again, but I was outside my friend's house. I don't really remember how I got there but I do recall thinking "Wow, I've gotta tell her about this!" before it happened. (I didn't think much of it then, but I just read a post saying you can visit people if you have a thought or a scent of them). I'm looking forward to trying it again, but I'm sort of scared that I'll get lost since we've sort of just moved. This isn't the only psychic ability I've discovered, and again, I don't really know how I do it, it just sort of happens....
