Blinking, Ashie rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Fighting birds was hard work. Yawning, she curled back up to her feet. "Ashie says that fighting makes Ashie sleepy." Slinging her bag over her shoulder, Ashie followed Kiara out.

"Ouch." Shadow rubbed his head. That dragon was a problem. Haze was still passed out. Shaking his head, he waited for his companion to wake up.

Kiara smiled at Ashie, her friend claimed that a lot of things made her sleepy, though KIara had always guessed that it was part of being half cat. She giggled and set her mind to getting out of the canyon."Hey, Killer. Do you think that you could turn into your dragon form and fly us out of here? That way we can cover more ground and get to the valley before sunset.

Kiara began climbing up Killer's tail, she was about a quarter of the way up before she lost her footing and slid back down to the ground. Kiara landed in the dirt with a dull thud, "Are your scales always that slippery, Killer?" she complained before createing a kinetic field beneath her feet that lifted her up onto the dragon's back. The elf settled herself at the base of Killer's long, scaly neck before looking back down to see how her friend would climb up.

Ashie blinked when she was lifted onto Killer's back. She was surprised when he started flying. Waking up, she held on, the pads on her furry paws helping her stay on. After a minute, she settled down. She had been flying on kinetic disks with Kiara, so this wasn't any different, except she could see what she was on.

Kiara looked back around to see how Ashie was doing. Her friend looked pretty relaxed so Kiara turned to face foward again. She lost her balance for a secong while she turned and had to grab on to one of the spikes that ran along Killer's neck for support. Once she got settled, Kiara leaned a bit to the side to see where they were. The ground far below them was still the dull brown of the canyon floor, but there were more patches of green grass and trees that showed her that they were almost out of the canyon.

As soon as Killer landed, Ashie slid down his tail. It was like a playground slide. "WHEE!" She tumbled a bit when she hit the ground. Laughing, she spotted a flash of sliver in the lake. It came by again. "Ah! It's a fish!" In her excitement, Ashie fell into the lake.

Kiara's face turned a brilliant red when she realized the position she was in. Her surprise was so great that she could not move for a few seconds. When Kiara regained her senses however, she immediately jumped up and mumbled a quick, "Sorry, my bad!" to Killer before turning and hurrying away in the other direction to help Ashie out of the lake. Kiara jumped into the water and pulled her friend back to shore, as she stretched herself out on the soft warm grass to dry her now soaked clothes, she prayed Killer would not bring that moment up later.

Ashie watched quietly, half submerged in the lake. Kiara like Killer. Ashie could tell, and it wasn't because of her cat skills. Giggling, Ashie forgot her mouth was underwater. She started drowning in two feet of water until Kiara came to help her.

Shadow was irritated. Haze wasn't waking up, so she had probably fallen asleep. They had done a lot of fighting, so she must've been exhausted. With a sigh, Shadow knew that their enemies were getting away with the Rose. We have to catch up tomorrow. We need to get back to normal.
