this, the end of life.  Hunter frowned as he watched the man, clearly he was in pain.
And surprisingly that bothered him, a lot.
It made him want to go hurt the individual that had done it to the man.
Raffaele pressed his hand to his stomach and Hunter frowned even more. Was that hurt as well?
Then the priest had wrapped his arms around him and buried his face in his shoulder.
Hunter reached his hand up and patted the mans back awkwardly and tried to comfort him. He still wasn't very good at that... He tried though.

The kind I have always seems to slip my mind. -------------------------------------------------------  Raffaele wan't looking for the most comforting person in the world.
He hadn't gone in for the hug looking for something extraordinary. No, he had just gone in for it, on a whim.
And maybe it was the awkward pat on the back or perhaps, just perhaps it was the cool scent of Hunter's shoulder, but in that instent Raffaele came to a realization.
All at once.
It wasn't something that he liked admitting to himself. He felt stupid, almost weak for it every surfacing but it wasn't like he was about to scream it to the heavens.
And no, it wasn't something foolish like falling in love after two days.
Love at first sight, that just didn't exist.
No, it was something much more practical, something with much more meaning because come to think of it, something with no thought behind it, that was just as ridiculous as it was romantic.
Raffale clenched his jaw.
Did he depend on Hunter that much? Enough to run for him to comfort, when he had only known the man for a two or three days? That couldn't be right, could it?
The more the thought the weirder it became.
Or rather, tragic.
Anyone who had ever given a damn about him was weeks away going about their buisness in Rome. And even if all of this had happned in his home, would anyone have even really cared?
He had grown up taking cae of himself. Of course the nun had raised him, but as far as affection and compassion went, his reciva had surely been zero.
He had been called cute as a child, but he didn't want people cooing over him because genetics had played their part.
In France it was much worse. He was in a country that he hated, doing a rigorous job, all for a cause he no longer believed in.
He had stomped all his ideals into the dirt, ripped apart what he once used to be, all his dreams, and where was everyone to tell him to stop?
Surely people would have noticed the change in his behavior?
Was it too soon?
But no, he had been in this country much to long for them not to realize something was wrong.
So that must mean they couldn't care less.
Was he really relying on a vampire to provide him with any sort of acceptance, any type of comfort and hopefully compassion?
Hunter had given him a chance, had given him affection, had rewarded him with hospitality and that was more then Raffaele could say for anyone he had ever known in his life.
He was always taking care of people. Weather it was himself, his family, the sick, the poor, the children, the victims of rape, abuse, deciet, attacks, but he had never been taken care of himself.
For once in his life, his long, hard, rough life, he was the one being taken care of.
Raffaele took a sharp inhalation of breath.
He couldn't even tell if he liked it or not.
All he knew was that he was dependent now, and that was a problem in itself.
He wanted to revert back to his old ways...but how was that possible when he was so madly in love with the concep he had just discovered?

this, the end of life. Hunter was completely oblivious to the mans thoughts as he continued to awkwardly pat his back.
He knew no words of reassurance to murmurer.
Nor did he know what to even do in a situation such as this.
The man's face buried in his neck was a sign that he needed comforting though so Hunter rubbed his back and kissed the top of his head, once again trying to reassure the man.
Or comfort him.
Something to make him feel better. Because Hunter did care, even if he didn't show it.
He didn't love the man, and doubted he ever would.
But he did care for him in the way one does a close friend.
He hoped that was enough for the priest.

Raffaele rubbed the side of his face that wasn't bruised.
"I really need to get some sleep.." He muttered hoping he wouldn't have to raise his voice much for Hunter to hear.
Raffaele's grey eyes darted around the room.
Where did he put his shoes?
He had to go to sleep. This was all too much for him right now, hell everything tonight had been a big deal and with all the excitment and ground breaking happenigs, Raffaele couldn't help but feel like he was going to pass out.

this, the end of life. Hunter nodded, there wasn't much else to do really. He looked around, not sure of what the man was looking for but at least trying to look like he knew what he was doing.
He would walk the priest home, then go out and figure out whoever it was that had ******** with his human. It pissed him off... A lot.
But at least the man would have a safe place to sleep. Or at least he hoped he would, he wasn't sure how safe the church was...
"I'll walk you home once you find what you are looking for. You look exhausted...." he smiled "Need me to carry you?" he offered in an attempt to make a joke and lighten the mood.

Yeeaaaaaahhhh...that wasn't exactly inconspicuous.
Raffaele persed his lips.
"I'm just looking for--" Nevermind he had found his boots in the corner of the room.
Typical. Even after raped Raffaele had managed to set them against the wall neatly.
He trudged over, a slight gait in his walk until he picked up the boots and put them on.
"I'm going to have to savange for food too...I forget to eat around you." He looked up over to the vampire.
Talk about it....hanging out with a vampire was deffinitaly a fool proof diet plan.

this, the end of life. Hunter raised an eyebrow and looked at the priest seriously. "Raffaele, I would never let them burn you at the stake..." he stated simply.
He turned to look at the item the priest was looking for. Ah! His boots, Hunter looked around for pants and a shirt, since he had been wearing his towel the whole time.
Hunter nodded again, "Food... right. Sorry about that..." Hunter forgot the man needed to eat as well. Not really used to having humans in his house...
He found his clothes and then put them on. He was ready, he would just wait for the priest now.

Come to think of it, he had seen a vampire burned at the stake as well.
That had been something...Raffaele had never seen a vampire go nuts like that...but there was no need to think that way right now.
He stood up and walked closer to Hunter.
"There's no reason to be sorry---you shouldn't have to provide me anything you don't need yourself."
He took a step in the direction of the door but became cautious as he neared the exit.
Raffaele was still warry about what had happened.

this, the end of life. Hunter rolled his eyes. Hunter had watched a couple of his aquantances burn at the stake. It was not pretty and Hunter thought it one of the work ways to go.
One would think it easy for a vampire to break free, but they chained the supernatural. Wherese the humans simply got rope... stupid people....
Hunter made a mental note at Raffaele's words to go get some food. He also observed the way the man changed as he neared the door.
"If you want I can go first." he suggested.

Walking out he left it open for Raffaele to follow, and walked forwards a few feet to give the man room as well.
He was looking around, and being alert as he could with most of his attention focused on the man behind him.
He was more worried about Raffaele's well being than his own.

The kind I have always seems to slip my mind. ------------------------------------------------------- Raffaele who had built up a litttle more confdence with the vampir leading the way, stepped out and followed.
This was so odd. Usuallt Raffaele's ego was inflaited each time he stepped foot into the pitch black streets this time around he felt very, small.
He assumed he'd get over it eventually. And if he didn't, well, he'd have to suck it up one way or another.
Raffaele's eyes shot to the trees instinctually.
Looks like those years of training had paid off.
It was clear there was a vampire in there, probably hanging out and what not---but as a habit Raffaele made sure to detect everything.
He told himself it was fine. Not every vampire was a rapist---and hey had Hunter to ward them off anyway.
Or attract them....
"Hunter! Hey Hunter!"
REALLY!?
Oh all the times to see a familiar face this vampire dipshit had to pick now!?

This wasn't fair, not at all!
Even worse it was a giiirrrlll vampire. And by girl Raffaele meant she looked like a ho...but then again if her clevage wasn't as exposed she would have been a very nice sight.
Not that she wasn't now but, Raffaele had a thing for modesty soooo.....
He stopped (he sort of had to) as the vampiress landed in front of them. She crossed her arms and sat in her hips.
"Oh darling it's been ages! How are you?" She flashed a very toothy smile. Somebody wasn't shy about showing off their species...then again why wouldn't she be?
Her red eyes moved over to Raffaele to which he reaised an eyebrow.
"You keep your snacks tagging along?"
Oh wooooaaaaaahhhh no.

this, the end of life. Hunter sighed, he had hoped that she would have just stayed up in her tree. He turned though and gave the woman a look as she lept down from the tree. "Just fine Tanya, and perhaps if you wouldn't keep pissing off the wives of powerful men and getting chased out of town we would see each other more often." he said with a roll of his eyes.
Introduction: Tanya=Vampiress he used to fool around with before Belle. Acquaintances. The woman was friendly enough though. More into a good time than torture and such. She even went so far as to only hunt once a week. A feat that Hunter thought was amazing.
Her next comment elicited a growl from him and a raised eyebrow from her. "No." he said sharply and she grinned and looked back to Raffaele.
"New plaything then?"

But hey, Hunter growled at the b***h for that so that had to count for something!

And then it was shot down....
Now under normal circumstances Raffaele would have been civil, naggy and what not maybe a little snarky, but civil.
He was having a bad day. Sure he had lost his virginity and that had been fun, but overall this was a bad day.
He crossed his arms and replied in a very snooty tone, "Ah yes, just as you once were I'm sure..or rather still are."
He had his girly aspects, and when he was fighty hell he used them to his advantage.
Brain ninja right there.

this, the end of life. Hunter snorted, holding back a laugh at Raffaele's comment. Not so much the content, but the fact that he sounded like such a girl. Tanya just laughed.
Obviously Raffaele didn't know this vampiress as hunter did. "Yes, I do enjoy being Hunter's plaything human. The best part about it is that I will still be around to do it long after your dust has blown away." she smirked, not evilly, but there was a bit of an edge behind it.
She then looked back at Hunter eyebrow raised in a question. "I do enjoy his company Tanya, very much. Do not touch him." he said flatly, a warning and a threat all in one. Raffaele was very clearly his human and he wanted to make sure she knew it.
"Alright alright. I stopped by to see if you wanted to go hunting but clearly you are busy."
She shrugged and darted off, Hunter sighed an looked back at Raffaele, shrugging.
