Tansy smiled softly at Gigdet and patted her on the head as she walked back. She was a good kid. She looked back at the mirror and to her reflection. It was odd not to see the top of her two white wings just behind her shoulders. She moved them somewhat under the harness and nodded to herself. She turned And tried to look at her backside. Since she was wearing pants, her wings stuck out from under her shirt. She would have to get different clothes.. "Oh dear." She sighed. Or! She smiled brightly. "Does anyone have a long coat I can borrow?" She asked as she walked back into the main room of the Pent House.

Ako hesitated before glancing at the sketches, fast enough to only see the poses. He let out a short laugh when he heard the other half of her argument. "Yeah, I think I could do without that level of awkwardness. I think I'll just find some other way to get money."
When Gidget produced the wad of cash she'd been paid, Ako had to struggle to keep his jaw off the floor. "Nevermind, I think we're good on the money issue."
He turned back to Annie, still bothered by the last thing she said. Why wouldn't her Dad want her to be an art major? He decided not to ask out loud, not wanting to pry too deep into family matters.

Annie stared at the wad of money- she had never seen that much money in one place before- except on TV, that is. "Uh, yeah... the money issue seems good." Taking back the sketches and returning them to her portfolio, and with her back turned still to Tansy she asked, "Are you planning on going out? I have a coat in the closet you can borrow." Turning she smiled at Tansy and said brightly (her inner comic nerd coming out), "It is tan- you'll look like a female version of Angel from X-Men when he's milling around the city! Okay not exactly, but you both have those pretty wings." Then Annie blushed surprised at her outburst and ducked her head, "Um... I guess I'll go put my things up."

After handing Garrett the money, Gidget brightens up at the X-Men comment that Anne had made. She becomes bouncy again and points to Annie with excitement. "Oh oh, that's where I got the idea. Tansy's wings look just like Angel's, so I modeled the harness after the one in the comic books. I didn't know you liked comic books Annie!"

Annie smiled faintly, "Comic books are one of the reasons I became an art major... and Monet, and Casset, and Rembrant, and Warhol, and Ansel Adams, and Timothy O'Sullivan... and..."
Trailing off, she disappeared into the bedroom and a minute later came back out carrying her coat. "Tansy, you wanted to borrow this?"

She nodded somewhat and smiled. "Yes, please, if you don't mind. I was thinking about going out for a walk around the town. But my wings still stick out just a little, and I though a long coat would help. But I see that both of you already agree with me." She laughed softly as she tilted her head to the side somewhat. "Would anyone like to come?

"I would." Ako said. He wanted to see how Tansy handled going outside after being copped up for so long. "Maybe we could even get something to eat while we're out. I don't think we can save the noodles, they kinda passed the five-second rule."

Annie lowered her head, considering Tansy's offer. She wondered if it might be slightly daunting to go out on your own after so long... but Ako offered to go out with her. Then again it would be entertaining to watch Tansy enjoy her new found freedom-curtosey of a harness, what irony.
"Why don't we all go out together and get dinner some place? We haven't been able to go out to eat together, yet."

Gidget gives off a delighted squeel and exclaims, "Dinner's on me! I'm gonna go clean up!" She darts off to her room and accidentaly slams the door shut in her excitement. The others hear a quick "sorry" being shouted from the other side. Moments later the sound of running water can be heard from the shower in her private bathroom.

Tansy smiled and laughed brightly at Gidget, before turning to Annie. "That is a great idea!" She laughed. She was happy, and excited. She haddn't been outside in almost two months now, and now she was free to go out when she wanted. And to make it better, her new friends were all coming with her. Her brown eyes held life in them once more, as they sparkled and smiled. She had been to solom after her death, she was glad to have a change of additude.

"I'm glad you like the idea," Annie said, smiling. "And maybe in a few days, Tansy, we can- well at least Gidget and I can help you find some new clothes."

In a way that can only be described as cartoonish, Gidget emerges from her room only a few minutes later. Her attire is in stark contrast to the filthy denim she was wearing only moments ago. Her pink hair free of the bandana she was wearing, and is now hanging down to her her shoulder blades. She is wearing a sunflower patterned white summer dress that comes down to her knees. She is no longer wearing large steel toed workboots and is now sporting white open toed sandals. Slung over her shoulder is a tan purse that is being used to carry Ratchet. The white cat sticks his head out and mews softly.
She bounces over to Annie with a big sweet smile and asks, "Annie, could you braid my hair like you did the other day? I think you called it a Veronica braid?"

Tansy paused and blinked for a few seconds at Annie, but then nodded. "That... would be helpful." She said softly as she tilted her head to the side. "I should also cit my hair." She was hesitant with her last sentence. Unsure still what she wanted to do.

Annie nodded and beckoned Gidget over, "Come here: I'll do your hair. It makes me feel like what it would be to have a little sister. I hate being an only child..."
She smiled at Tansy, "I have a magazine of hair cuts that you could look at if you want."

Gidget giggles and drags a chair over in front of Annie. She turns it away so that the back is facing Annie and plops down in it. She sets down the purse with Ratchet in it gently and sighs in pleased content.
"I know exactly what you mean Annie. I like having two older sisters. I mean, I love my brother and everything, but there were times I wished he was a girl. He would laugh at me whenever I told him that aloud. He said that I was enough girl for the both of us. I'm still not entirely sure what he meant by that."
She lays her hands in her lap and looks over adoringly to Tansy. "If you cut your hair it shouldn't be too short. Your hair is so pretty...and I still say you'd look good with pink hair."
