Uzi nodded and grinned " All hunting related which is my purposes" her tail swished behind her again " I'm happiest when working, maybe becuase my soul is happy then," she mused.

"It might be part of our purpose to be happy when we are working, particularly when we are applying our specific skills the to task at hand," Zia mused, waving to the ride operator as they approached.

" Aren't your skills rather limited in how they can be used?" Uzi inquired as she tilted her head up to take in the full size of the Ferris wheel. If they weren't going to be riding it she'd have made a challenge of trying to climb it, it would require a lot of jumping and careful angling but it would likely be fun. That too made the combat essentic happy, testing herself and seeing how far her body could be pushed. Perhaps the hunter in her always sought a challenge even if it wasn't against game. The golden eyed alter supposed the same could be said for Zia but she wasn't sure how it would work with the older one.

"I have to be touching something or someone for my ability to work," Zia said, nodding. "Other than that, I haven't had many limits. Sometimes I don't always understand what I see or there's too much information." It led the way to one of the baskets, letting Uzi get on first. "There are some things I'd like to be able to read and simply can't because of their composition."

Uzi had been surprised by how weight sensitive the basket was. She wondered if the way it moved and seemed unsteady was meant to make the ride seem more fun. " I wouldn't like not understanding things or not being bale to use my purpose for certain things." The huntresses admitted with a flick of her tail. " I like things to be as I think they should." She liked certainty and control and when her life lacked it Uzi became uncomfortable and unhappy.

"I'd prefer order over chaos, but I live here at Farstep," Zia said, sitting next to her. The rider operator closed the basket up and moved to make the wheel turn. "Sometimes a bit of the unexpected can be fun. Keeps one on their toes." The ride lurched a bit then the basket rose up into the air.

"So long as the unexpected is not overwhelming." Her kind were supposed to be good at adapting and yet Uzi often felt stuck. " Perhaps that what school might be good for making it so that even surprising can be handled easily." The animal like alter's golden eyes looked over to the side as they rose up away from the ground. Not spending a large amount of time in trees and with cliffs not really looking over much in the desert the view from up high was different like here.

"Even overwhelming can be sort of fun," Zia said, leaning forward a bit to look out over the carnival. "It's all in how you're prepared, I guess." It looked up at Uzi. "How do you like the view?"

"It feels less real" Uzi murmured looking down on the people and places below they seemed less like they were part of the world she'd been in only moments before. " I can see father things things are flat but they still look real." Perhaps becuase she was higher than normal and becuase the basket itself was new to her. Being high on a bluff and look down at the scrub brush desert still felt real becuase she was connected to the dirt.
"It's nice here, not home but nice." Farstep was so different from home and from how she normally viewed the world that Uzi felt like she was nearly transported to somewhere else that she didn't quite understand but could be awed by. Perhaps she should visit more often, if she had time.

"I always liked it, but then, I was raised here. It's hectic and chaotic and half the people living here seem a little on the insane side, but I wouldn't live anywhere else," Zia chuckled. "It's full of life and I like being surrounded by that feeling."

" You like people" Uzi pointed with with a twitch of her tail. " I like... individuals." Eli , the dogs and his family were special to Uzi but they were just a few beings and she trusted them on varying levels, enough at least to live with them without much worry. The carnival was nice but the alter doubted she'd ever be fully at peace here. " We're different."
