At first, Damian pulled his face back from her touch. It was so light and trembling, though, that curiosity made him still once more. A frown took his brow. Women throughout his life had touched his face with a passing carelessness, or desperation, and only one person had ever taken their fingers gently across his features as if memorizing them. Only one...

As her fingers became just a bit more sure, Damian could no longer stand it. Silver eyes opened, at first resting upon her shirt. In moments they opened fully to see her neck and finally, flicked up to her face. Shock immediately replaced confusion as his eyes became wide and dumbfounded. What Richard had felt back at the bar, he was feeling tenfold, almost sending him into a faint.

"Raquel." Her name was barely even said as his lips more twitched than formed the sounds. Damian's eyes changed again to pure amazement as they locked onto her green. What a beautiful shade of green that he had never seen in anyone else! Though he couldn't smile just yet. This couldn't be real, not after all he had been told by police and investogators.

"Raquel," he said again. His hands went to her face, gently cupping it. Every curve of her was felt, every line under her eyes brushed with his thumbs like a blind person reading features. He might as well have been blind, because still he did not believe what it was he was seeing again. All the while, he trembled and whispered things no one could catch, just trying to see, feel, and understand this thing that was happening.

Finally, once he was so sure that he couldn't blink her away or lose her from right under his touch, Damian's eyes filled with tears. Beautiful sadness twisted his face, and in one swift movement his hands moved from her cheeks to her shoulders and waist, pulling her towards him so that he could hold her. "Raquel!" he cried. Damian buried his face in the curve of her neck and shoulder, sobbing hysterically as he took in her smell. Everything was coming back, though it had only been a year. She was back. Somehow, life had taken pity on him and handed everything back in one afternoon.

All the missing pieces were back in place, and all he had to do was open his eyes.

Raquel had remained silent and patient, letting it all sink in for him as her own eyes steamed tears. When he suddenly grabbed her, her heart tore wide open as she sobbed into him as well. "Damian-" She cried and whispered over and over, clenching at him so desperately, so tightly... as if he were to be yanked away at any moment.

They just both sat there on the floor of the library, the chairs pushed back, clinging to each other as their cries and muffled words filed the room.

Richard smiled form his place back a bit, turning slightly to give the two privacy, though knew this could take some time... The two needed nothing nor anyone else but each other for awhile. He mentioned something about checking in alter before excusing himself, though it was doubtful anyone had heard.

Raquel felt near fainting as well, her whole body aching fro so much emotion coursing through it.

After several minutes of crying, Damian adjusted his face, but did not let her go. No, it was doubtful he would ever let her go.
"W-why--" he tried to ask. "How?" was easier to get out. He feared he might break her with how tightly he was holding her to him, and yet the reckless abandon Damian felt at having her back prevailed. "T-tell me everything," he said, choking on every word. It would take a good bit of time for him to calm down, now having his love back after thinking her to be lost forever.

Raquel felt utterly limp in his arms, exhaustion from it all taking a toll on her rebellious body that still tried to hold him close.

Yet despite it all, through her soft sobs she touched his lips gently with one finger, shakily pleading that they discuss it another time as she took in his face. How he had changed...

He looked so much older, not just physically but emotionally. He had been through a lot in the past year. Though, so had she. She wasn't sure how different sh looked to him, pondering this as she stroked his face and hair before it became too much for her again. She buried herself into his chest, sobbing silently as she gripped at him. At this rate, she was afraid she'd lose consciousness on him. Her head was busting, giving a warning she should calm down.

"H-hold m-e?" despite the fact he was already doing so made her request that much more desperate. She felt so many emotions at once, it was a wonder how she could comprehend even one or two. It had been so long... so long since she had felt his touch.... her heart had never hurt so much, yet felt so wonderful at the same time...

He could accept that. He could accept anything she asked, so long as he didn't have to let her go. And since she pleaded for him not to, he would oblige.

Damian scooted them back towards the chair and gently brought them both to sit in it. It was a large, soft chair, colored green and filled to the seams with soft filling. There they could find warmth again in the library, and in each other's arms. Damian did his best to cradle her, kiss her, whisper to her how much he missed her and loved her still after the time that had passed. She'd been missing for months before they had told him she had been found dead. Too much time had been lost... but there was another thing that he had been wanting to say to her, something he hadn't told Richard because it had been too personal.

"I am so sorry," he said with the same tears still blurring his vision. "I'm sorry, dearest, I couldn't find you... I couldn't find you anywhere. I tried. God, how I tried..."

Raquel cried along with his, though kept kissing his lips to quiet him. "Shh...I know...God I know you did...You couldn't have changed what happened Damian...you just couldn't.-" She let her lips traced around his, finally having enough sanity about her to really show him how much she missed him.

"I don even know where I was Damian...it was terrible..." She tried to stop herself from crying again, tough simply clutched onto him, fighting the urge to just have her lips all over him.

Knwoing that she had asked they go over what had happened later, Damian didn't press her for information. He only pressed his lips to hers, and along her jaw line and neck. She was back, and he could kiss her, love her, feel her next to him again. "I love you," he whispered again, as if he hadn't already said it enough. Though what was unsaid was that he would murder the people who had taken her if given the chance. Nothing could console him of that now.

She closed her eyes, tilting her head back a bit, stopping her own groping for a moment, to simply let him kiss all over her. Just feeling his lips pressed against her was utterly uncomprehendable to her at that point.

Though as his hands moved to her back, she winced a bit, her grip on his arm tightening a bit. She inhaled sharply, though tried to ignore it by kissing him again, whispering she loved him in return.
She didn't want to ruin this intimate moment of finally having the other back with horrid details and 'souvenirs' from her absence.

Damian thankfully didn't notice. He was too wrapped up in his affections to her and with the very idea that she was back. And as much as he would have loved to take his love even further, very simple ideas occurred to him that he had overlooked.
"Are you tired?" he asked, pulling back from her lips. "I gave away all your clothes, so you need to get more now... Are you hungry?" Details, details, as always.

Raquel couldn't help but laugh as she kissed him again. "No no...I'm quite fine... I've been taking care of myself pretty well..." She assured. "No, all I want right now is you..." Her eyes were pleading and yet so full of happiness and life.

"Damian for the past year I've done hardly anything but wish you could hold me again, touch me, kiss me..." her voice had turned into a whisper, as if it were some sort of secret or forbidden desire as her mouth hovered longingly over his.

How could he not oblige her? Damian kissed her sweetly.
"Over this past year... I've wished to see you, speak to you, just to have you back at all. They told me they had found your body, that you were dead, and since then I've hardly been myself. It's only been lately that Lorey and Richard have been coaxing me out of the house..."
All was said in between kisses and coddling, as if he was trying to make up for everything they hadn't been able to do over time.

"I'm so sorry..." She muttered back, overstimulated with his voice, touch and affections all hers all at once. "I wanted to send word out to you...but I couldn't,...I didn't even think I would ever see you again until about 2 months ago...Damian it was terrible...just terrible..." She cried a little more now, hugging him tightly.

"I was told you were dead... Though I couldn't believe it. But even after I was assured from a good source you were alive, I wasn't sure I'd make it out alive to ever see you again..." She clutched at him as if by just saying it, all would become true suddenly. "I dont know...what they wanted..." She shook her head, tears steaming down her face. "I couldn't give them whatever the hell they were looking for. They told me if I didn't give it to them, they would take it...and apparantly they did...but I still dont know..." She shook her head, not wanting to think about it.

"God Damian...." She looked up at him. Really, all she wanted was to not think about the bad things that had happened. She wanted to simply lay in his arms, staring into his eyes, maybe even more... but just to have him near, and there and alive and well and all hers... Thats what she wanted.

He didn't understand anything past the fact that she had been kidnapped, and was unable to come back. His face grew serious, and as he looked her in the eyes, he found himself becoming very angry.
"Did they hurt you? Who was it that did this to you? Who, Raquel? We have to put an end to this, once and for all... I cannot lose you again. I cannot." It was a desperate string of words in the silence of the library.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 17, 2009 5:44 pm

Raquel knew he deserved answers. She just didn't want to relive them just yet. "...It was the Amaranthine... Andrew and Amethyst... They had approached me when I was in school. But I gave them no answer to many requests and offers they tried to push on me. So finally I was getting tired of having to deal with them and agreed to meet them to discuss what I would do with my life. I figured it was my business and I could get them to understand I genuinely don't want or need their help. But I don't think they liked that very much... I blacked out and the next thing I new, I was sore and could barely move in some dark room..." She furrowed her brow, thinking back a bit.

"I was there for God knows how long...i was fed right and eventually moved to what looked like a prison cell...though it was always so dim..." She rubbed her head as if it were hurting her. "Andrew kept interrogating me, asking these things I had no clue what they were or what I had to do with any of them. He said I had something rare..something valuable, though I had no clue what. He would beat me...though it wasn't anything I hadn't experienced before... Though Amethyst didn't like it... She was kind to me while I was wherever the hell I was.... she's the one who assured me you weren't dead after all, and helped me escape..." She swallowed a bit, looking to the ground.

"But I'm getting ahead of myself... Andrew. He was convinced I had somehting of importance to him and the Amranthine culture... He said he had finally gotten whatever it was... after I had blacked out when they injected me with somehting...when I awoke, he was bragging, covered in blue blood, and my body was.... in agony... Physical pain on its own was terrible throbbing and aching all over, though my head was bursting it seemed...I can jut remember screaming and crying, and wanting to bash my head into something... It was as if all emotion, all thought I had within my mind were being crammed into my vision simultaneously...then all at once- Nothing. It jstu stopped, and I passed out again. When I awoke...I was on some strange planet, and Amethyst was there...she told me she knew I was in pain but she had brought me to a place I could hide until I could walk again. Then I'd have to run. So I did..." She swallowed a little, looking back to Damian.

"She said...'things wont be the same for you anymore, though your not alone'...But it was said so consolingly... She said i'd be fine and then just took off..." She stared off into the distance a moment before wrapping it up. "I spent the next few weeks trying hard to jump form planet to planet to finally make it back home... Thats when I ran into Richard on Nimbus. I was working so I could affoard a ticket to Veratia to find you...But... you know the rest..." She tried to smile for him, so he wouldn't dwell on what happened to her.

It was resolved, then: If Damian ever came in contact with them again, there would be bloodshed.
Though not wanting to upset Raquel over what he might do, or never even have the chance of doing, Damian said nothing and just held her close.

"...are you alright now?" he asked. "Is there anything you need? Anything? Besides just being here again..."
