Roxanna smiled after a moment, pulling her hand from the cup. "Kat's alive, and currently arguing with a man about a disguise."

Roxanna shrugged, "I tried, it was difficult to find anyone. I thought I'd caught a bit of Lincoln, but the ocean waves were too loud. Usually those aren't a problem." She furrowed her brows slightly, perplexed at the issues her powers were having. "As for Kat, it's good she's alive, but I don't know if I'm in any position to help her now. I've been wondering if Jeffery made some kind of comment to the authorities, and that's how they gathered her location, but I can't be sure."

"Do you honestly think I wouldn't have thought of that before? This isn't a new thing, Jarred Flint. These people have been around for a very very long time. Are connections are nothing compared to theirs, and they have much more at their disposal in terms of powers of varying degrees." Roxanna let out a small breath. "Nick has been researching them for years, and it always frustrated him that there was nothing he could do. I was always the one to insist we push a little hard and go a little further than he was comfortable with, and in the end it got him killed."

Roxanna jumped slightly at Rex's growl, afraid for a moment the dog had changed his mind about being friendly. She relaxed quickly after realizing it was directed at Jarred, however. "Your dog doesn't like the idea of drinking?" She asked.

She shrugged, thinking for a minute. "At the moment? The smartest and safest objective would be to turn tail and run, and hide away until everyone forgets my name. Sadly, though, my conscience was always a little too sharp. I suppose I'll have to do what I can for the people of St.Eva. There are powers developing at a massive rate, and it's about to get ugly."

"I do exactly what got me into trouble the first place." Roxanna said, motioning her chin towards the glass. "I listen in, and I meddle. So long as a conversation is around water, I can usually pick up the gist of it. New powers usually involve a whole lot of freaked out noise." She paused slightly, "I can also sometimes hear when they're about to go pick up someone. It's possible to beat them to it, though I've always been too afraid to try for that on my own. Perhaps we should go get Rook and Kat, if we intend on doing something, they may be able to help us."

"I can't send a message, though I can get a feel for where they are, usually through the body of water close to them, or through sounds that I pick up." She stood up from the chair, "I do know the general area, we'd just have to find the cheap hotel and look for them. A glass of water with us would help though."

Roxanna stood up and followed after him, tugging slightly on the shorts and belt to keep them up. She paused to give a wave to Rex, despite her awkwardness she was beginning to like the animal. "Are you sure you're up to this?" She asked Jarred as they headed to the elevator. "It's just barely been dropped in your lap. I wouldn't entirely call that fair."

"A few days ago I had to spend time explaining things to a rather unreasonable man, and he was more than happy to drop everything and return back to his normal life. I have to admit your mindset is refreshing." Roxanna waited as the elevator took them down, "It's not going to be a walk in the park, though."
