Wow....this is getting good....
PostPosted: Mon Oct 26, 2009 6:28 pm

Once there was a a beautiful young girl who lived in a small town just south of Farmersburg. Her parents had to go to town for a while, so they left their daughter home alone, but protected by her dog, which was a very large collie. The parents told the girl to lock all the windows and doors after they had left. And at about 8:00pm the parents went to town. So doing what she was told the girl shut and locked evey window and every door. But there was one window in the basement that would not close completely.

Trying as best as she could she finally got the window shut, but it would not lock. So she left the window, and went back upstairs. But just to make sure that no one could get in, she put the dead-bolt lock on the basment door.

Then she sat down had some dinner and decided to go to sleep for the night. Settling down to sleep at about 12:00 she snuggled up with the dog and fell asleep.

But at one point, she suddenly woke up. She turned and looked at the clock...it was 2:30. She snuggled down again wondering what had woken her.....when she heard a noise. It was a dripping sound. She thought that she had left the water running, and now it was dripping into the drain of her sink. So thinking it was no big deal she decided to go back to sleep.

But she felt nervous so she reached her hand over the edge of her bed, and let the dog lick her hand for reasurance that he would protect her. Again at about 3:45 she woke up hearing drippping. She was slightly angry now but went back to sleep anyway. Again she reached down and let the dog lick her hand. Then she fell back to sleep.

At 6:52 the girl decided that she had had enough...she got up just in time to see her parents were pulling up to the house. "Good,"she thought. "Now somebody can fix the sink...'cause I know I didn't leave it running." She walked to the bathroom and there was the collie dog, skinned and hung up on the curtain rod. The noise she heard was its blood dripping into a puddle on the floor. The girl screamed and ran to her bedroom to get a weapon, incase someone was still in the house.....and there on the floor, next to her bed she saw a small note, written in blood, saying: HUMANS CAN LICK TOO MY BEAUTIFUL.

Lady Kira X
Coffins used to be built with holes in them, attached to six feet of copper tubing and a bell. The tubing would allow air for victims buried under the mistaken impression they were dead. Harold, the Oakdale gravedigger, upon hearing a bell, went to go see if it was children pretending to be spirits. Sometimes it was also the wind. This time it wasn't either. A voice from below begged, pleaded to be unburied.

"You Sarah O'Bannon?"

"Yes!" the voice assured.

"You were born on September 17, 1827?"

"Yes!"

"The gravestone here says you died on February 19?"

"No I'm alive, it was a mistake! Dig me up, set me free!"

"Sorry about this, ma'am," Harold said, stepping on the bell to silence it and plugging up the copper tube with dirt. "But this is August. Whatever you is down there, you ain't alive no more, and you ain't comin' up."

Oh this was funny. XD

Not all scary stories have to be scary....
PostPosted: Tue Nov 24, 2009 7:07 pm

This isn't necessarily creepy. Then again, I guess it is.

Back in 1999, my Oma (may her soul rest in peace), had flown to the US to spend Christmas with us. While she was staying with us, she slept in my sisters' bedroom, right next to mine. I found out, years later, that during the night, my parents would be awoken by her screaming. My mother said they were the most horrific screams she had ever heard. She said it was as if someone was trying to take her away. I also believe she said that my Oma actually asked whatever it was, amidst the screams, not to take her.
She died in February 2000. A month after she left to go back to Germany.

After she died, that same night actually, I had gotten up to use the bathroom. House was dark, everyone asleep. Back then, I'd use the bathroom with the door open. I was a child then. Now? Not so much. Anyway, while I was using the toilet (I was taking a leak. And then I sat there for what seemed like forever just daydreaming.) I happened to look up and I saw the ghost of my grandmother standing in the hallway. (What a wonderful way to greet the dead...)
She just stood there in the hall, looking as if she had just left my parents' bedroom. (The door was right behind her.) I stared, unblinking, at her. It felt as if my breathing had stopped, I was thinking of nothing. It was as if I had shut down. She looked content. She was wearing one of her typical night gowns. She was gray-blue, translucent, a yellow glow fading at the edges. And then I blinked and she was gone. When I blinked, I remember feeling as if I was released from some hold that had been put on me.
It took me ages to summon up the courage to go back to my room. I finally did, creeping out and then running to my bedroom, closing the door, locking it. After that night, I never slept in the dark again. I feared shadows, dark corners. I soon became all too aware of the noises the house made at night, unsure if those noises weren't in fact being made by something else.

In that house, (I've lived in several) I'd walk to the bus stop each day. It wasn't very far at all. And naturally, I'd walk back home from the bus stop. One day, while walking home from it, I noticed my Oma sitting in the car of our next door neighbor. She was in the backseat, right side, watching me, looking at me. The mother, I'm assuming, from the next door neighbors' house, came out, walked to her car, got in and started rummaging around in her purse. My Oma was still in the backseat of her car. She remained, even as the car drove off minutes later.

After my Oma's death, my mother wanted answers, wanted some kind of closure, I guess. She and my dad called several psychics. Now, you may think this is absurd if you are the skeptical type. But we believe in this stuff. As I mentioned, they called several. The last one they called was telling my mother that she had something really important to tell her and that she had to tell her because it was important. She kept stressing this fact until the line went dead. My mother flipped out and tried calling back. It said the number wasn't in service.
These were also the kind of calls where, you'd get charged outrageously after the first few minutes. Well? We never received any bills. My parents were expecting to pay a fortune for it but nothing ever came.

We eventually moved away from that house. As I mentioned, I've lived in several. We had forgotten to grab a few things from the house - knick-knacks, I think. My dad parked the car, we waited inside as he walked in to get whatever it was he had to get. He came back to the car, literally flipping out. We drove away quickly, not bothering to say much. Several years later I found out why: when my dad had gone into the house, he heard things being thrown around, forcefully, in the attic. He also heard voices but couldn't make out what it was that they were saying.
No one else besides us lived there and we hadn't ever really used that attic. Of course, my dad was spooked and didn't want anything to do with it. We still don't know what it was.

Nothing really. I never saw her again.
My mom read somewhere that the reason I saw her was because I never really grieved thus allowing her to be able to make contact with me.
And I never did grieve, really. I never cried until years later. I was sad but nothing more. I loved her though.

Other little things have happened after that wherever we went.

The most recent having happened at our neighborhood elementary school playground.
Last year, when I still had the balls to take walks at night, there was one particular night where I and my sister went to that elementary school on our way back home to swing and stuff.
It was a really foggy night, no noise, no lights really, just the moon high above the track and the soccer field behind the school.
Approaching the field, we started getting really paranoid and felt like there was something out there in the fog that we couldn't see. We tried to ignore it.
We stayed a bit, walked around, but then the feeling became too much to handle.
It was also a little windy and the tether ball chains were clanging against the poles. It didn't help much taking into consideration the fact that we were already spooked.
And then, I got this feeling that we had to leave, we couldn't stay any longer. We began walking out but then I started to run, anything to get me away from that playground. Whatever it was that I felt was still following me, all the way home.
The feeling didn't go away until we had gotten inside the house. With the shutting of the door, it was gone. And that was the last time I took a walk after 6 o clock.
>.>
I'm more worried about rapists or murderers rather than the unknown but yeah. It's just another reason I don't go for walks in the dark.
