"One Host-Agent will accompany each group of two Eves. The Adams and I will be tracking on our own, ready to help at your call."
Host-Agent R had appeared silently behind them, causing Schraeder to turn.

"Now... we have a general idea of where he jumped out to. He can't have gone far, since we're watching him build a teleport this very moment. Once he's out, though, which he's almost surely done already, it's free game, so we need to move fast.
"Looks like he's kinda heading into the snow. Nova Scotia or somewhere near that." Lionel cracked his neck. "I suppose whenever you're ready... or once we have a teleport locked down."

Adela listened to all this patiently. With a small nod, she said, "I see no problem with this." She was happy she'd brought a hoodie. She finished off her coffee and gave a tired grin. "I'm ready."

When Schraeder nodded his agreement with Adela, Host-Agent R snapped his fingers, and two men stepped into the light.
"Host-Agent A," said the first. He spoke slowly, calmly, and bowed his head slightly after his intro.
"Host-Agent M," said the second, a smaller man. He seemed to be rather interested in his new companions, having a sort of eager air about him.
"They'll be joining you," R said to the Eves. "Go ahead and meet them."

Adela looked over at the two Agents with a slightly wider smile. "Good to meet you both. So who's going with whom?" Honestly, she'd had the feeling that she was gonna be with Schraeder. And it'd make sense seeing how the two worked well with each other. "I hope we all get along alright."
Agent A looked at her with a half smile. "It is a pleasure to meet you." He was 6' with wavy blond hair and blue eyes. He was well built and had an aura of calm surrounding him. Honestly, I just want to go home. He knew that his job was important, and he was happy to serve his country. He just wished he could spend more time with his family. I can't believe Lorelai is already 9. He loved his wife and child more than anything, and felt thankful his wife was as patient as she was. Becoming a father made him a lot more patient with people. He never minded helping out someone when asked, and was a moral man. All in all, he was a good man and tried to stay that way.

"Ladies and gents," Agent M greeted them. Looks like a strong bunch. Good. At least they won't have to be culled if that's the case.

Jon said nothing as the others introduced themselves. He simply gave a nod and turned to the acclaimed Agent R.
"Go ahead then, tell us who's chaperoning whom so we can begin to track down this extra-dimensional b*****d and so we can get to work, I'm eager for a bit of action, considering I was rather left out last time."

"Dibs on not the overeager one?" Agent M asked tentatively.

Host-Agent R looked at the Eves for a moment and said, "M, you're with Adela and Schraeder." Adela and Schraeder had no idea how he knew their names, but there it was.
"A, I'd like you with Jon and Finnegan, please." The two Host-Agents nodded and moved to stand with their assigned charges.

Finnegan smiled and nodded at the agent to whom he was assigned, "Nice to meet ya, the name's Finnegan as you mighta guessed." He held out his right hand to shake.

A gave a small nod towards Finnegan and shook his hand. He was slightly worried about Jon's enthusiasm, but made no mention of it. At least he wouldn't have to worry about the guy holding them back for lack of motivation.

"And the portal closed, which means they're through it. We're gonna start a distance away - there's a snowstorm going on, it looks like. A little unusual at this time of year... very, very unusual. I think something's... causing it. The Thief can't just... can he?" Lionel stopped himself. "Let's get this show on the road. Harry?"
The heavy-coated man made a gesture, and the portal exploded into life.
"Let's get this moving."

Schraeder stood next to the portal and gestured for Adela to stand next to him as they waited for Host-Agents M and A to go in first.
R gestured, and the two Host-Agents nodded and walked through the portal. A went first, drawing a pistol, and M produced a submachine gun and followed five seconds after.
The Adams nodded to the others, and Schraeder went into the portal. Adela, Finnegan, and Jon followed.

Finnegan was glad yet a little disappointed that the fight was over. He remembered bidding farewell to Clarissa and hanging back to ensure she got through safely. He was second to last to leave and waved at his brother, but Saieve seemed too distracted to notice.
"What the hell was that, now?" he blurted out upon returning, "Oh...and I suppose how is everyone?"

After being assisted through the portal and hearing the voices of some of his companions, Joneleth shook his head and opened his eyes with some effort.
"Blimey..."
Lifting himself up off the floor with a groan, he turned and regarded those who had returned. He clutched his chest for a moment as he felt a twinge of pain that had apparently lingered on from earlier.
"What happened..? I'm assuming we're all alive... So, I have a need to thank whoever watched out for my unconscious form."
