((Yes, I know. XD But the Mountain Dew probably had something to do with my last post too. I didn't know Mountain Dew influenced my mood o.o; I thought it was my brother who got affected by Mountain Dew.))

"You didn't, but something did." remarked Lerena. Did she just have one of her moments? She had trouble remembering the psychotic moment she had just now, but she did know that she apparently sounded angry because of Marik's comment. "I apologize for sounding angry. Sometimes I get defensive. I'm not sure why." she said, then proceeded to giving Marik directions to her house. She was confused. What was going on with her? When she went to the doctor a few years ago, they said she wasn't suffering from split personality disorder. And yet, she had no memory of yelling at Marik or anything.

"Eh it's okay," He gave an award-winning smile and climbed on the bike. Once she was on behind him, Marik revved up the engine and followed her directions to a tee. As what he assumed was her house came into view, he slowed not sure how her mother would feel about motorcycles. Pulling into the driveway, Marik kicked the kickstand down and waited for her to get. "Anywasy, I figure I must have done something to tick you off, you seemed pretty steamed.." His eyes widen, okay maybe he shouldn't have said that, it made him sound like he was defending whatever Malik had done to her. Inside his head the other was laughing, as he was screaming to Malik to shut up. "Huh?!" He gasped feeling his pocket viderating. Slipping his lean tan hand into the jeans, Marik pulled out his cellphone and looked at the text message preview before he flipped it open, and read it. Not bothering to reply Marik unmounted the motorcycle and looked at up her.

"I knew it." said Renoko with a smirk. She walked down the stairs and opened the front gates for Lerena and Marik to enter. "My, my. You must have fallen straight in love, Sister." she remarked, looking over at Marik. "Skipping detention. It's not everyday that someone skips school with her." She had a toothpick in her mouth and was licking her lips as if she had found the perfect man for her sister and need only test his strength.

Lerena blushed and looked away from her sister, choosing to reply to Marik first. "Your turn I guess." she joked, pointing at his cell phone.

"Lerena, I was worried. When you didn't come to detention, I thought that perhaps Cobra got to you again." she said, speaking about the famous serial killer wanted all over the United States and who was still in hiding, disguised perfectly.

"No, he doesn't know where we moved." said Lerena sarcastially. "And would you please calm down a bit? You look like a bloodthirsty killer with those pistols at your sides."

"I do? Well, we need to talk. Now." she said, grabbing onto Lerena's arm. "It's important. Your boyfriend can wait."

Her eyes widened slightly. Renoko wasn't even giving her a choice.

A tall woman with long black hair and a long black dress walked down past Renoko. "Welcome to our household." she said to Marik. "Renoko, go speak with Lerena. I'll keep our guest entertained. After all, a friend of Lerena's is always welcome here." As Renoko and Lerena made their way off, the woman greeted Marik. "Greetings. I'm Lerena's mother, Cassie. My apologies for the way Renoko is. I don't really understand her. Oh, do you have a call?" she asked, looking at the cell phone in his hand. "You're welcome to take it now if you'd like. Unfortunately, Renoko can be a bit forceful. But Lerena will be out in a second if she gets her way."

Seeing the famous sister of Lerena's holf the door for them to enter, he found her a little creepy, it wasn't every day a girl made such comments and licked her lips looking at him. 'She's a little strange..' He and Malik both said to each other, as Lerena was drapped off to where they were going to be holding this important talk. Turning to the older lady with long black hair, Marik smiled to her. "Its a pleasure to meet you, I am Marik." Dipping his upper body a little in a smooth bow to show respect for her. "Oh thank you, its my sister." Moving to the door he slipped outside and took a seat on the steps to make the call to Isis, his sister.

After a couple rings he was through and greeted her, speaking in latin to her. "abyssus sanctimonialis quis est instanter novus vos necessarius communico me?" Not wanting the others to know what he was asking, he made sure to speak low hoping that they didn't speak latin. "Oh haud. Dico mihi vos es joking. Has is vere reverto? tamen iuguolo ut vir vox sanctimonialis iuguolo nostrum abbas.
"
His eyes darkened with by the second, he was becoming enraged with what his sister was telling him. Hearing his phone beep, Marik took a couple deep breaths and sighed. "I have to go Isis, I will call you later." Hanging up the phone he looked at the text message from his best friend and sent one back saying they needed to hang out later. Once he was done, Marik dusted off his butt and headed back inside.

Renoko cackled when she was in Lerena's room and closed the door, locking it behind them. "Listen up, Sister. I found the perfect guy in detention. Someone I don't hate. It seems you've done the same. But there's something important I need to address. Perhaps I should check this guy out a bit, see if he's really suitable for you." she suggested with a creepy snicker as she picked up a glass of wine and sipped it.

"He's perfect." said Lerena. "Why are you so insistent to see what he's like? I don't want you to mess up this relationship too." Lerena remarked.

"That was different; he was the enemy. However, we don't know this guy. We don't know for sure if he's your type./b]" explained Renoko as she set the wine glass down and stroked the handle.

"Renoko, you and I are extremely close. Moreso than normal siblings, but you need to understand something. Something important. You can't protect me forever. I don't need your protection anymore. I'm stronger now and it's time for me to prove it." she explained.

"Prove it? Then answer me this, are you messing with him or do you truly love him?" asked Renoko.

"No, I'm not." answered Lerena. "Just don't interfere with Marik and I. Please, Renoko. I do love him..."

"You can clearly say that? Very well. I won't interfere. If he breaks your heart, you're on your own. Show me you're stronger now. Make one move to your old ways," she remarked, pointing at her upper arm, "And you are going straight back to therapy." she said. "You're lucky your two armlets hide the scars. You were unstable then. Please, Lerena. Know what you're doing."

"Is that all you wanted to talk about? My love life? My past? How dull." said Lerena, crossing her arms.

"No. Your Geometry teacher gave me a hard time when he noticed you weren't in detention. Lerena, I think your Geometry teacher may be sexist." she told Lerena.

"What?!" shouted Lerena, shocked. "Are you crazy?! Where are the signs? The proof? Prove it to me!"

"He threatened to give you detention, because he hates you for your gender and the fact we were able to stand up to a powerful gang leader." said Renoko. "He refused to tell you that in class, but I found this." she remarked, holding up her Geometry teacher's diary. "During lunch, I sneaked in and found it."

Lerena felt her head. "You...is that all?"

"Yes, it is; for now. Go enjoy yourself. You'll be given a hard time all Geometry class, but I believe we can get him fired. Just use your head and show him your power as one of the Helena Clan members." she said with a smirk. "Be your happiest, because you never know when you'll have to stand the test again. Cobra will find us one day, Lerena. And he will finish the job as written in his contract. And you must fight him on that day. Be happy, because these peaceful days may not last forever."

Cassie was in the living room with a cup of tea and a bottle of it set on the coffee table. She was waiting for her guest to arrive so they could speak. Marik seemed perfect for Lerena, but she wasn't interested in their relationship now. She sipped her tea as she waited.

She bid her sister farewell, left, and went to the living room. Was that the reason her parents had stood up for her? Because it was obvious her Geometry teacher was sexist? She looked at her mother who was sipping tea on the couch. Should she tell Marik what Renoko found out? Renoko wanted the Geometry teacher humiliated and tormented before he was fired. Why did she say she had detention? She was sure to look into the matter. Renoko wasn't one to be messed with, and Lerena herself even moreso. "I'm finished." said Lerena with a smile.

He had just stepped into the livingroom where Lerena's mother was when her voice hit his ears, and made him turn towards her. "Wow, that was fast." The bleach blond replied with a grin then turned back to her mother. 'Sorry for taking so long I was hoping to at least talk to you a bit before the girls got done." His eyes were back to their pale state as he stuffed his hands in his pockets, rolling back on the heels of his shoes, swaying for a moment before speaking up again. "So are you ready? I think it would be fun to skate and hang out. Maybe if you'd like we can catch a movie." There was a lot going on in his head as he spoke Marik knew this wasn't the time to bother her with his issues, he couldn't believe that his father may still be alive, then again Isis and Odin had made sure to pull him away and get him out of there before anyone really knew what happened. Holding a small smug smirk on his face as he waited for her to answer him, Malik was dying to come out and mess with the female some more, he liked how she had snapped on the other it was almost too much for him.

This life was suppose to be fun to get him a chance to break away from his past, and allow him time to grow a little and learn the boundaries of good and evil, but he still had his own connections his own life that was still left in Egypt waiting for a single call to be made by him or Bakura (his best friend). Before he moved here he connivence his sister that he had de-banned his gang, the Rare Hunters which were a criminal organization of Ghouls. A vishious group of nermous blood thristy killing machines, each unstable enough for him to fully control with his special weapon. Marik had formed the group from finding an releasing those who were already bitter and angery with the world, and soon he knew there would come a time that the world would face the wrath of those men and he would get his families honor and dignity back. 'I remember it all too well..and to think that he lived...i will tare him apart with my own hands...

(Red is a black Flash) It was the night he turned ten, the night Marik received the "Tombkeeper's Initiation, " which entailed having his family's secrets carved onto his back with a dagger. The very sound of the blade being sharpened but only a few feet from him still echoed in his ears, the peircing screech of the metal grinding against the shapening tool gave his own skin goosebumps still. He called out to his father pleadding for this to stop, but his youthful cries seemed to go unheard by the man he was forced to call father. Everything seemed to be covered in darkness, he remembered feeling the dagger slicing into his back, each strock seemed to last a lifetime as the pain surfaced. Hours later, young Marik remembered the sting from the wound being cleaned and the pain from the slightest amount of air touching his tender back. That was the night that Malik, his alternate personality, was born. Malik was made to bare the pain, it was this event that caused his bitterness towards the Pharaoh's family and towards his father. A year later, his sister Ishizu (Isis) noticed nothing seemed to place a smile on his face so she took him outside of the tomb-keeper's home for the first time. There, he was permitted to experience the outside world for the first time, the day was amazing one he wouldn't forget even if he tried what happened that night would haunt him forever. When he returned, his father was furious and began to take his anger out with his whip, lashing whatever part of his son that the coiled leather would strike, as he cursed his son for what he had done. This triggered the anger and released Malik from inside him the evil spirit took over Marik's body for the first time. When Marik came too all he rememebered was being told by his sister. "Its over, you got your revenage now its time to heal.."

Marik pulled himself away from the thoughts in his head, he hated when they played in his head, it was like his mind kept playing sick jokes on him to keep the angery inside. Shaking his head, he felt his pulse rate fall back to normal and his eyes that had deepened so dark they appeared to become black were starting to lighten up again. Breathing slowly, he swallowed hoping he hadn't said anything aloud, he had once and that was hard to explain to his teacher. "So anyways, Lerena, are you ready?" Darting his eyes back to her mother he somewhat expected her to say somthing to him.

((Edited. I left out something I wanted in o.o))

Cassie raised one eyebrow, sipping her tea gently before setting it on the coffee table, walking to the back of the room and gesturing for Lerena to join her. "In a minute, Marik." she remarked. When Lerena came over to her, she glanced at her daughter. "What does it mean when his eyes turn black? Do you know?" Cassie asked softly in a whisper that she hoped Marik didn't understand.

She blinked, searching her memories again. Not one moment did Marik explain that his eyes could turn black. In response, the young teenager shrugged. "No, but...I can guess." she said. The only emotions that Marik didn't describe with an eye color was pain and sadness, but Lerena couldn't say that to her mom. Her theory might be wrong. "Mother, I...why did you stand up for me when I got detention?"

With a smirk, Cassie began to explain. "Your Geometry teacher has that attitude I despise." she remarked. "That type of arrogant attitude..."

"I see." replied Lerena in a whisper again. "We can discuss this later, I have to go." said Lerena, walking towards the door.

"Lerena, you need your skates to skate." remarked Cassie. "Did you get them?"

"Crud!" Lerena explained. "I'll be right back, Marik. And yes, a movie sounds good. I'd like to see a...well, we'll see what's there." she said, going back to her room. Renoko was still there and she was watching a horror movie on her television. "What are you doing?! The volume is extremely loud! What if Marik hears that? And that's my TV!"

"And I should care? I love this TV. It's so beautiful and shows the video so well. I love screams. Anyway, Lerena, what do you need?" she asked.

"Nothing. Just these..." said Lerena, holding up her rollerblades and placing them in a bookbag for her to carry.

"You're not going to the Underground, are you, Lerena? Because if you are, I want to go." she said. "You can't leave me out of the excitement."

"You want to come with us? But...why?" asked Lerena. "Wait! Don't distract me! I'm busy." she remarked, walking out of the room with the bookbag over her shoulder. She had around five bookbags, because she was just that type of person. She loved to be prepared. Thoughts of her past ran through her, since she couldn't ignore the concept of pain after she figured Marik's eyes turning black meant pain. Why did she associate black eyes with pain and sadness? Marik didn't explain those emotions so why was it her business to know? His life had changed; he had that chance. There was no reason for her to suspect that Marik was hiding anything.

[Flashback] A moment of happiness was lost that day. A part of Lerena that was normal faded from existence. She would never be the same again. On that day, she received the scars and was unstable for a period of six months. It took heavy therapy, but she was finally stable again. The pain she suffered, she was grateful for, because now she was stronger and knew the pain of defeat, plus how to get her confidence back in any situation. But one thing she would always hate was her inferiorness to that old enemy of hers. Cobra wore that sadistic smirk as he put the gun to her forehead to end her life. Renoko shot him in the back, causing him to drop the gun. The fight was like some sadistic ritual, which was how Cobra fought. He wanted his victims to suffer brutally and painfully before death. And his own niece was no exception. When Cobra fainted on the ground, she and Renoko made a run to the hospital. Their father took the blame for shooting Cobra and now had it on his permanent record. He was arrested for a year for attempted murder.

That year was the darkest of her life. She would never be the same after that, because her father lied for the sake of his daughters' happiness. The pain of the sword stabbing Lerena, then she disarming Cobra and forcing him to draw his guns, ran through her head. The pain, the suffering, the torment. In the hospital, what she considered torture brought her to make two wounds on her upper arms to show them all what had been done; she was the reason her father was arrested and it was her fault nothing would ever be the same again. One scar on the side of her neck, two along the sides of her legs, two at her wrists, and one extremely bad one in her back. When her father was let out, she was allowed to get a tattoo to hide her wound.

Her therapy may have solved her problem, but at a heavy price: her normal nature was gone forever. And no more was she going to live as a regular human being. Even though she wanted abnormality, this was how it was given to her. This was how her prayers were answered. And now horror movies were her friend; her mind had become twisted and had darkened so much. [/End Flashback]

As a few of Lerena's memories ran through her head, she remembered the truth about who she was; a demon-like person who loved horror and wanted the death of her once beloved uncle. She returned with her rollerblades in a bookbag now on her back. "I'm ready." she told Marik with a smile. It was obvious that Lerena had been thinking about quite a lot. The images that flashed through her head were painful and her back almost ached as she remembered her uncle's deadly stab. But now everything was fine, because Cobra wouldn't find her here.

"Have fun." said Cassie. "Don't kill yourself. Remember the number 1 rule when rollerblading."

"The rule that I shouldn't be afraid to fall?" asked Lerena.

"No, pain is good when you're rollerblading." answered Cassie with a smirk.

"You're psycho, Mom." she said. She started walking to the door and looked behind her. "Coming, Marik?" Lerena teased with a smirk. Since Marik made her happy, she was willing to try to change for him. After all, would he be able to love a demon-like human being? There was more to her past than just her pain.

Freezing in place when he was told she'd be right there, he nodded and crossed his arms over his lean chest; as he waited he let his mind wonder to his Hunters were up to. Having instructed a very precious memeber to watch over them, Marik had all his trust in the girl. She was a ticking time bomb that no one could predict when she would finally explide. 'I wonder what she is up two, its been a while since she had contacted me, I wonder if she was conquored and my men all slaughtet? The question made him chuckle, he knew better then to even assume such things had happened, however with the current news that his father was still amoung the living, Marik understood he would have to be careful if they needed him he and Bakura would have to leave...

At the same time, somewhere down town Tokyo was a lean boy with beautiful white hair, alluring eyes, and an innocent expression on his face that no one would expect him to be the second in command to the Rare Hunters. Around his neck hung a ornamental ring on a golden chain that his father (the curator of the Domino City Museum) got him when he was one a business trip in Egypt, little did the old man know what spirit lied in the ring, or what would happen to his son once the piece of jewelry was around his neck. Bakura had in heritaed an evil soul from the past. In truth, this unassuming object was the Millennium Ring, one of the seven mystically-empowered Millennium Items. Ryou, the King of Thieves, was the sole survivor of the slaughter of the village of Kul Elna perpetrated by Ahkenaden, as part of the ritual to forge the Millennium Items. Seeking revenge on the son of the pharaoh who had ordered this act, Ryou stole the Millennium Ring from the priest Mahado, and was consumed by a portion of the soul of Zorc Necrophades, which the demon had been sealed in the Ring at the moment of its creation.

Looking down at his watch he was a little annoyed with waiting for Marik, "What can he possible be doing that is more important then us talking about the plans we need to set?" He uttered out barely audiable so only the spirit inside him could hear. Annoyed, the teen hissed and pulled on his helmet, throwing a leg over the seat of the motorcycle, he gripped the handle bars until his knuckles were white. 'He's not going to hear the end of this.' Bakura vented to the dark spirit inside his body, they weren't close by any means but they had learned that each of them have one thing in commen which was to get revenge and shed blood of the inncoent, this fueled them to compermise on the body sharing and with hours of looking at himself in the mirror, Bakura and Ryou are able to communicate and share the body. Peeling out of the parking lot where they were waiting Bakura's tires squeal on the black top as a small trail of smoke followed his back tire.

'Foolish Humans,' Bakura chuckled, his eyes two able to change when his emotions changed and by free will to fake others out about what he was truely feeling deep inside. The anger at his best friend was boiling up inside him, he wasn't jealous but a little birdy had also made a call to him about the news and he wanted to make sure there was a plan to cover the 'what if's' that could show up. If there was one thing that the darkness inside him taught him was that if it can happen it probably will happen. 'Marik this is not the time to play pretty boy, we have work to do.' Taking a turn he zipped down an ally way, checking any place he thought the other blond haired boy would be.

"Never been more ready." Marik replied walking behind her as he turned and tossed a hand up at her mother. "It was nice meeting you," he then headed on outside with her, "you can put those in the side pack." He educated Lerena as he unsnapped the bag and opened it for her. "Just in here. Then we can head off to my place so I can get my skates." Even though the thoughts were lingering her beautiful face was all it took for him to forget the dark past and pain. A light pink shade fell on his cheeks as he stood up and cleared his throat. "Here." Handing her the helmet again he climbed on and waited for her arms to wrap around him. The joys of a motorcycle and meeting a cute girl. Once she was on, he walked the back away from her mother's, or what he assumed was her mother's car, then hit the black top and was off towars his place. It wasn't a long ride, he lived rather close to her it seemed, but closer then he expected. Kicking the kick stand and getting off after her he nibbled on his lower lip for a moment, "you can come it if you'd like, I don't have much."

Pulling back out his keys, Marik had a bad habit of turning off the engine then slipping his keys into his pocket. Jinggling them in his hands while he walked up the steps to the front door of the place he was staying, "are you coming?" He asked as the motorcycle that was parked between the buidlings went unnoticed. Unlocking the door he opened it and cocked an eyebrow to see the television was on. "What the?" Then a loud smatching sound roared from the kitchen, as he took off into the other room he slid to a stop and looked at his best friend and his class mate Joey fighting over the last pickle which neither won since it was on the floor.

Bakura had been looking for Marik then he had gotten smart and just decided to wait for the unreachable male at his house, which was what he should have done in the first place, considering that he was now almost out of gas. They both pulled away and pinted at eachother as if they were five and in unison shouted. "He Did It!"

((WARNING: This post has been brought to you by a girl who drank Mountain Dew and is now unable to sleep, not to mention bored.

EDIT: This post is pretty good now that I read it while it isn't past my bedtime. I hope it's acceptable o.o))

Once they left, Renoko had stopped the horror movie to speak with her mother. "I trust you did what you needed to, Renoko." explained Cassie on her cell phone. Renoko and her were communicating on cell phones with dark music in the background for effect. It was something they did when deciding bloody business. "You can't let her know that Cobra has almost tracked us down. He'll be here soon. I received a letter from him just the other day. Yesterday, in fact. You have the diary, I trust? We can use it to create things that Lerena's Geometry teacher would never have imagined." explained Cassie darkly. "Ah, it's a wonder that Lerena can keep it a secret. Well, well, well, she doesn't know what we've done in order to protect her. We've shed blood for her life." added Cassie. It was ages ago. She had made sure that Lerena's life would have the abnormality that she desired. Her power was strong and she was certain that her husband's knowledge of criminals would aid her in doing so much without being caught. She had no intention of doing her worst here in Domino City. Many of Lerena's past victims had committed suicide, or so it seemed. It was true; Lerena's mother was a murderer and she hadn't been caught yet. Her assistant in crime, Lerena's father, would see that no one harmed their daughter. And Renoko was in on the plot. Lerena knew all her past victims died, but she didn't know how. It was a devastating truth and Cassie planned for Lerena to not know the truth until she received her powers.

"You think it's a good idea for us to continue this? After all, Lerena doesn't know about 'her'. It's dangerous for us to continue our plot here in Domino City. If we raise suspicion because of Lerena's background, it'll look bad. We need to take a break for awhile." explained Renoko. She ran a hand through her thin, black hair and used a toothpick to pick at the food inbetween her teeth. "Mother, this 'game' we're playing may be going too far. If Marik should learn of what we're doing; if he should learn of our actions, then our plan will be ruined. Until she receives her powers, she won't have the abnormal life she craves. We need that abnormal life for her in order to win the game."

"The rivalry between us and the Natsuki Clan must be settled, Renoko. I won't forgive them for setting my daughter up. Those fools! To be honest, I'm surprised that Lerena's dark half didn't emerge and kill Cobra." said Cassie, sitting down on a chair as her husband massaged her shoulders. She crossed one leg over the other. "You know, this game is supposed to be until Lerena receives her powers, and then we go all out; we kill the Natsuki Clan."

"And raise suspicion of ourselves?" came Renoko's voice on the other line. "Honestly, Mother, you're strange. We need to make sure the Natsuki Clan comes to us and we need to make sure we're not in a public area. A forest sounds like a good battleground." explained Renoko. "Will we tell her eventually?" asked Renoko.

"Heh, maybe. When she receives her powers, she'll mature. But we won't kill the Natsuki Clan until it's time. You're right. Killing them now is the least of what we should do. Renoko, do you need to get back to your movie?" asked Cassie, sipping some wine.

Renoko sipped some wine herself. "Indeed. I'll give you the diary by midnight. Be in my room by ten. Lerena really needs to set her loyalities straight. Showing Marik a lie will do no one any good."

Cassie snorted. "He is perfect for Lerena, but I fear that Lerena lacks the confidence necessary to keep her catch if she isn't honest." Her husband sat down across from Cassie at the table and began reading the newspaper. Cassie and Renoko said their farewells after a few more minutes of discussion about how honest Lerena should've been with Marik.

She turned her horror movie back on and sighed. She wanted Lerena and Marik to be happy together, but something just didn't click with what was going on. Since Lerena was truly in love this time, it might be necessary for the Helena Clan to stop beating around the bush and help Lerena unlock her powers. And perhaps they should quit murdering people. But Renoko couldn't ignore her parents' wishes. She had to protect Lerena and be by her side. If what happened before happened again...the Natsuki Clan played it rough. The Helena Clan couldn't be weak now. After all, it was the idea of Lerena's own ex-boyfriend to begin this sick, sadistic game.

The slight blush from earlier amused Lerena, but she held back a smirk and kept herself from making a comment on it. Lerena shook her head. "That won't be necessary. Get your skates and I'll be here waiting for you." she replied as she got off the motorbike. Her skates were in the sidepack while Lerena's cell phone was now in her hand again. She was speaking with a friend from America now. That friend had started a conversation with her first! It was her fault she wasn't following Marik inside, but it wouldn't be long. All she had to do was tell this 'friend' of hers that she was extremely busy and would get back to her at around midnight. After Marik went inside, she looked at it and her eyes widened. Cobra knew that she was in Domino City?! But this couldn't be! This had to be a lie. Marik was first priority right now. He liked her and she didn't want her stupid uncle to stop that. The Natsuki Clan wasn't fair at all. They had to have a spy in Domino City watching every move they could get of her. Something was going on. She replied to her friend then snapped the cell phone shut, placing it back into the pocket of her jeans. Lerena decided that she'd worry about this issue later. Right now, she had to live for the thrill of the Underground.

Palming his face at the immature actions of the two friends that were in his house, he looked at them both after a couple moments then sighed. "I don't have time for this, you two, are...wow." Shaking his head, the white ripple of loose hair fell into his face making him have to brush his hands through it to make the strands fall into place. "Just don't break anything else." Stepping over the broken glass and puddle of pickle juice, he headed for his room as Bakura left Joey to clean calling out to the other. Stopping with a hand on the door knob, Marik looked over his shoulder and at the other with a cocked eyebrow. "What is it, I am in a hurry." Not wanting to keep the cute girl who he was lucky to have met waiting that long he rolled his eyes at the other. "Can't we talk later?" Pushing the door open, Marik knew that this was a one sided battle if he was planning on going anywher tonight he knew it was better to just answer the questions and deal with time later. The room was empty for he hadn't had much time to pack the night he was taken from Egypt, nor did he have a lot to him name. There was a small twin bed, a dark oak dresser with matching bed-side table, on the table was a cream light and the floor was a off white color. Flopping down on the bed, Marik shot his purple eyes up to the other, "what?"

Walking into the room behind Marik, Bakura pulled the door shut and eyed his best friend in the eyes. "Haven't you heard? I'm sure you have. You're father is seeking you out, and you know what happened last time, Isis told me the entire story." Sitting down on the edge of the bed next to Marik, Bakura turned and looked at him. "And the era of Pharaoh Atemu is fast apporaching, if we are reclaim our families honor then we can't not stall much more." His eyes shifted into the darker color, signaling that Ryou was coming into the light and speaking what he had to say. "I think its time you know you are engaged to Ahora Izume you were given to her at her birth, I don't see why you bother..with the other girl..." He didn't even have to say the girl's name, rumors spread fast in the town.

Standing up quickly, Marik was heated, jerking around he's eyes narrowed as he looked at his bestfriend's body. "Shut up!" He wasn't in the mood to hear about another girl that he had been given to in the past. "Wait..how do you know?" The blond asked with his arms folded before him, the purple eyes baring down on his best friend.

"Simple. Your Sister told me." Bakura gave a light chukcle, "go on, play pretend for now, but in your culture the only way out of an arranged marriage it blood shed." Brushing past the other, Bakura opened the door. "Have fun on your date..just remember sooner or later the truth will have to come out..." He chuckled and headed out.

Annoyed, Marik took a huge breath and hissed it out between his teeth before grabbed the skates, faking a smil and heading back down the stairs. Passin the two in the kitchen he didn't speak to them. A side of him knew that Bakura was right but he wasn't ready to risk loosing her. Not yet. Walking out the front door he looked up at her and smiled. "Sorry if I took too long."

As Marik spoke to Bakura, another similar situation had just arisen, only it was far different. Lerena looked at her cell phone and saw a familiar number from an old friend, or rather, an old enemy. "Justin? What does he want?" asked Lerena as she answered the phone. "What do you want? Why do you still have my number? Didn't I tell you to beat it? After what you did..."

On the other line there was a loud cackle. A voice responded, "Oh, but Lerena, you'll want to hear this. Do you believe in sadistic games?" he asked her.

"Shut up!" ordered Lerena angrily. "What are you talking about? After five years, how could you still..."

"If you lose this game, Lerena Leigh Helena, then you will be my fiance. It's in your best interest to listen to these rules so you know how to win." explained Justin with a smirk.

"You still haven't tortured me enough even after hiring my own uncle to kill me? Tell me! How does Cobra know I'm here?! Answer me!" Lerena shouted into the speaker.

"Enjoy your happiness while it lasts. One day, these happy days will end. Kiba heard the rumors so now I know too. He's alive, dearest, and he will carry out my wishes. And guess what? The last thing you will hear at the end of the game is my name. You will not hear the last of me. Your 'boyfriend' might as well dump you now, beause there's no hope for you, dearest. I hope you enjoy fiery pits of despair and torture. I will tell you the rules by one in the morning. Be there." explained Justin with another loud cackle. He hung up the phone and Lerena's eyes widened.

She heard the front door open, changed her facial expression and posture, and smiled at Marik. "I'm glad you're back. I was worried for a moment." she remarked as she slid her cell phone back into her pocket. Justin's threat was something to take seriously, but she would enjoy her time with Marik to the fullest. Renoko and Justin both had a point; she couldn't hide who she was forever. "Ready then?" she asked with a smile.

"Ready as ever." He replied to her walking up to his motorcycle, "if you'd like to meet my friends, I can bring you back by here before I take you home." His voice was back to the soothing one he was born with and his eyes a relaxed purple, there was too many bombs being dropped on him today. But the moment his eyes met up with hers it made eveything else seem meaningless. Lerena was the priority for him at the moment and nothing was going to come in between that at his moment if he could help it. Handing her the helmet, he smiled and straddled the motorcycle as he waited on her to get on behind him. There was a lot that should have made him want to be alone and get everything figured out, yet all he wanted to do was spend more time with her. "Ready?" Marik asked looking over his shoulder at her for a moment then revved the engine and took off down the road. Speeding a little faster then he had before when she was on, Marik swirved in and out of traffic at a fairly decent pace, then he pulled onto the sidewalk and then the concret where people were walking. Coming to the enterance of the undergound there were steps, he had rode down them before over and over but he had never rode down them with another person. "Hold on tight." The boy called back then slowly walked drove down the steps it wasn't long until he was parking and the "theme" music rushed into their eyes telling them they had arrived.

((I just decided to post Lerena's half of the post. I did have three fight scenes planned out to keep me occupied, but I got tired and didn't feel like thinking. I do have them in development if I decide to post them later. These fights contribute to the plot, which Marik will eventually know about if all goes well and I don't get bored. If I get bored, my characters will fight each other again. But you're spared just this once, because I'm tired now. I like making long posts if you haven't noticed and I'll use any legit excuse to make my post longer. >.> This includes beating around the bush and taking 5 hours to make one post.))

Lerena smiled and got on behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist gently. He seemed to be going faster now for some reason so she wrapped her arms around as tightly as she dared. As they went down the stairs, she kept her grip. The 'theme music' was nice and felt inviting to her. That's right; Lerena was a dangerous person. In fact, she was so innocent at first glance that people missed the fact she was the second-in-command for the Demonic Sisters. Marik brought out the best in her and made her feel better. Lerena felt her issues disappear and subside when she heard Marik's soothing voice. Apparently, he was now the light in her darkness. "I'll meet your friends after this. Hopefully they'll like me." said Lerena with a brief smile as she got off the motorcycle. As it would seem, Justin was determined to ruin Lerena's love life until she ran back into his cold embrace. But Lerena was no longer like that; now she was stronger. The words that Justin had said still rang through her ears as clear as day, but as long as she was with Marik, everything would be fine. And the American teenager was going to give the Underground her all so she couldn't be weak because of a few bombs being dropped on her head. Where there was a will, there was a way, and Lerena's will was strong.

Marik flashed her an award winning grin, he couldn't stop smiling when he would look at her it would just happen. Unsure if this was because it was falling in love with her so suddenly or if it was he was really nervous around her. Marik had no clue. Reaching out for her hand, he laced their fingers together and headed through the door that blocked the underground from the outside world. "I am sure they will love you, after all what is there not to like about you?" He teased pulling her closer once they walked inside. There were people that looked like they had stepped straight from the gates of hell and back onto earth. "I hope you don't mind tough looking people." The blonde leaned down to whisper into her ear, "stay close, I know you can protect yourself but I don't want to have to call 911 because someone groped you." He laughed a little more, Marik was already having a blast.

Just then a hand was tossed up and a tall lanky guy with brown hair and matching eyes rushed up to them. "Yo Marik!" He called informally to the blond showing they knew each other. As he neared the Egyptian, the boy slowed and looked at the girl that was with him. "Woah," he smiled.

"Hey Tristian." Marik wasn't one to get jealous so he didn't say anything when his friend looked over Lerena. Instead he reached into his pockets and pulled out his pack of cigarettes, offering the other one as he lit up his own and took a long drag. "What are you doing here?" Marik finally asked, he figured it would be some kind of gambling.

After fawning over the American girl, he turned his complete attention to Marik. "I am here playing poker and betting on skaters, are you going to race tonight? If so I am betting on you, so don't let me down."

Chuckling he flicked the cigarette away and dropped his head. "Oh don't worry I am sure I can easily help you double or triple your money in just the start up races." He gave an evil grin then spoke up. "Watch over her, make sure she doesn't cause too much trouble, I'm more worried about the insolent fools who would try something on her then i am here." He headed off to sign up for the races.

((I'm skipping the fights I mentioned, but if you want to see them, I can add them in as a flashback. If Marik has friends, Lerena needs some too. XD I'm letting loose a bit, because I'm sort of angry so I want to have as much freedom to beat on my own characters as possible, lol. I might bring in Mai later. I'm considering it.))

"Hi." said Lerena. "Take a picture; it'll last longer." she remarked with a smirk at Tristan. Why did he have to protect her? She didn't need protection. Then again, she didn't need to stir up trouble either.

"Lerena-chaaan!" shouted a girl with silver hair and wearing all black and running over to her.

Lerena blinked and turned her head. "Huh?! Caroline, what are you doing here?!" she asked, shocked.

"Don't be worried. I just missed my friends down here. Did Keeyla tell you?" asked Caroline.

She nodded. "Yea. It's unfortunate. Anyway, mind telling me how you knew I was here?!" asked Lerena, crossing her arms.

Caroline sighed. "I can't tell you right now." remarked Caroline, licking her tongue ring. "Where's Renoko? You two are always together. Don't tell me you two had an argument."

Lerena laughed. "No, Caroline. We're good. So, what's up?"

"Your friends miss you, Lerena. In fact, our families might have to transfer us to Domino High School just so we'll stay sane enough to stay out of a mental institution." laughed Caroline.

"Don't tell me. All of you are moving?" asked Lerena.

"Sorry, but we have to." explained Caroline with a playful wink. "We'll fill you in later." she said. "Are you going to show me a good time or what, Lerena? Please tell me you're going to skate. And, our friend over here is probably bored since we're not including him. So, who is he?"

"His name is apparently Tristan and he's supposed to be protecting me or something." Lerena answered Caroline.

Caroline smirked. It was obvious by her expression that she was amused that Lerena was letting a guy protect her, but Lerena's glare provoked her to behave. "So, are we waiting for you to get signed up?" asked Caroline. "I wish I could race, but I'm here on official business to watch over you."

"I feel rich. I have two body guards." joked Lerena. "Tristan, this is my childhood friend Caroline. I grew up with her before moving to Domino City." she explained.

"I cannot find it!" complained Eva. "We'll have to leave it to Kiba. Meanwhile, let's transfer ourselves into Domino High School, shall we, Sister?" asked Eva with a smirk. She led her sister to the school to get transferred in.

"That sucks! I wanted to beat her at her own game!" explained Diva with a pout. "Oh, well. Let's go. We can torture her later." she said, then blinked. She took out her cell phone and saw that Kiba had left a text message. "That coward! He's afraid that Lerena's new boyfriend is stronger than him! When we meet up with Kiba, I'm going to kill him!"

"No! That'll weaken our defenses. He isn't the enemy." explained Eva. "Lerena is. We have to corner her alone though, so I understand where Kiba is coming from. We have to capture her and kill the rest of the Helena Clan!" she remarked, walking inside the school building.

Cobra had dragged Kiba out of the Underground and had him leave a fake text message to his sisters. He met Kiba outside where fighting wouldn't be a problem. "Kiba, keep your hands off my niece, you moron!"

"That girl, your niece, she's more of a threat than the person I'm supposedly afraid of." said Kiba.

"The agreement was to provoke the Helena Clan to join your brother's sick game. I'm doing this to protect my nieces, not to let you break the rules. Quit doing it or I will kill you. Don't think for a minute that my name is to be ignored. I killed your father; I can kill anyone in the Natsuki Clan. Justin wants to kill my family, but I won't permit it! He won't have my niece's hand in marriage. I'm protecting her!" said Cobra, grabbing a hold of Kiba's shirt collar.

"Fine! Stop it already!" said Kiba. "You're touching my perfect suit!"

Cobra slapped Kiba. "I have to meet up with my gang. If you as much as stare at Lerena, I will ambush the Natsuki Clan and kill them. I want this game to be interesting, but I don't want you to have things your way!" He threw Kiba to the floor and walked off.

Kiba fell onto the ground and stood up. He couldn't disobey the infamous gang leader, Cobra. He was powerful. But no one said he couldn't harm Marik. He went in and signed up to be Marik's opponent.
