"Because we don't want a war with Netura when they have one Semane," Anduril answered. With that said, he took to the air, heading towards the town he had been directed to.

Bulletbeard The Pirate "Because we don't want a war with Netura when they have one Semane," Anduril answered. With that said, he took to the air, heading towards the town he had been directed to. The Merry Man, Little John himself, simply began to laugh loud and merrily at Anduril's dismissal. Well...a war with Neutra with William on the throne was unlikely, so long as cool heads prevailed at the meetings of peace. He and his band walked by Anduril's father, tipping their hats respectfully. They knew where they were going, and soon were knocking on the high doors of the Elven council.

Selce followed the first elf to leave the platform. She had decided to follow him, since his views were closest to hers. She stayed low just barely topping the huge trees. She tried to stay in his shadow as much as possible. " I'll reveal myself when we get to the town, he won't have much choice then but to allow her to help." She said quietly to herself.

Their was a silence at their table until the food and drink came. As they ate, Althenna turned to Kayn, "You know, you seem pretty smart and coherent, yet you don't take human form. Are all lesser demons able to be so coherent?"

Kayn stirred at the question and raised her head at Althenna.
“I haven’t found a need to take human form- and I haven’t really tried,” Kayn answered. “Why take human form in a world where humans are supposed to be your mortal enemies? I’m sure before the war demons in human form were a lot more common. And almost all lesser demons either look something like me, or in full demon form. They‘ve got less control, although it seems as if most demons don‘t even care about that anymore.”

Valora didn't hesitate to dig into her food rather viciously. She didn't even bother to pick up the utensils. She just grinned, snatched the chicken bone and bit into it like you would expect a starving person to do, ignoring any disgusted looks that may have turned her way - although, most of the glares were directed towards her for other reasons.
Val swallowed hard and almost choked on the load she forced down. She grabbed her whiskey and drained it like it was merely water, feeling the soothing heat in the back of her throat. She breathed a refreshing sigh, "So, you don't know what you would look like as a human then?" Val was quite interested to see what Kayn would appear as without scales and fangs. "Considering you may be stuck with one and a half humans for a while... why not give it a try?"

Althenna leaned back in her chair and frowned thoughtfully, "When I was at the eastern palace, I over heard some demons there talking about a problem with lesser demons getting out of control. That's something that's been bugging me lately, too. There seems to be a lot of... odd incidents like that going around-- even in Netura and humans aren't exactly magically inclined." She said, knowing that most historical incidents involving masses of odd or violent behavior had to do with magic gone wrong (or right, depending on who you were).

“I tell you it’s the constant wars that drive everyone mad,” Kayn said in response to Althenna.
As for going human… she wasn’t quite sure what she would look like. But there was something about looking like a human that made her skin crawl- no doubt it was the hatred against them she had grown up with.
“But humans are so… soft and fleshy,” she said with her lip curled in disgust. She shouldn’t even listen to the half-breed anyway.

"Honestly I don't care what you look like but when we go to Henry's castle, you'll need to blend in." She said. She didn't want to admit that she could sympathize with 'everyone'. Sometimes she didn't feel so sane herself. There was a reason she wasn't with her tribe.

“Well then I’ll try it after we take care of the demon lords if I must,” Kayn growled. She would much rather not be a human. Kayn hated feeling so powerless without her demon strength, teeth, and claws, all of which would disappear if she would to go human. Humans could survive just fine, but not someone as unused to it as Kayn was.
Although it’s not like she would have use of her claws at the moment- not until they encounter the demon lords and King Henry. The moment she walked away from her duty as a warrior, she knew she would be fighting a lot less- which made Kayn constantly itching for a brawl. At least to feel powerful.

"Good. It's either human form or pretending to be a demon slave and believe me, you're much better off with the former." after a few more bites, she spoke again, "We'll need to find parchment or something so I can draw the lay out of the palaces. It would be best if you both could properly acquaint yourselves with the layout before we try do much more. The more familiar you are with the buildings, the easier it will be later on." She cast a slightly worried glance at Valora, "And Valora, try to slow down. I don't know about half-demons but humans usually puke if they eat much after a time of starvation."

Valora laughed as she saw the demoness curl her lip and growl. But she did understand where she came from - it must run in the demon blood to despise weakness. Val had always felt weak next to her higher demon father, even though he never pushed that on her intentionally.
The half-breed leant back in her chair to stretch her now full stomach, also letting out a belch. "Pardon me," she grinned. "Don't worry, I'm done! So," Val leant back forward, her arms holding her up on the table. "when we getting started?"

Althenna ginned, "The sooner the better. But we're going to need more people and supplies. I may want to think we can take this job on alone but I haven't gotten this far by being a cocky b***h. We'll need to find a healer or a medic, too. We need some sort of anti-poison. Apparently poison claw runs in the eastern lord's family." she finished bitterly.

Kayn let out a heavy sigh. More patience and recruiting awaited them as she picked uninterestedly at her food. She didn’t really have an appetite anymore.
“So where do you suppose we go from here to find such people?” Kayn asked with a tone of annoyance. It wasn’t that she had expected action right away, but things weren’t much different right now than before Kayn met Althenna. Although maybe if Kayn was still wandering about, she could have picked several good fights.
