"He'll prolly be much handsomer if'n he looks anythin' like Uncle Faolan," Annie chimed in before Kelly could say anything. Clearly the children were oblivious to the physical similarities between the boy and Faolan.
Faolan just gave a snort of laughter at Annie's comment. "If'n me boy looks anythin' like me, he's doomed."

"Oh, don't be silly, Faolan," Ellandra said, taking the liberty to make a silly face at her husband. "He's hardly doomed, more like blessed. and you know I'd love it if he looked just like you."

"Take after th' handsomest man you know?" Faolan asked, tilting his head. "Does tha' mean them kids ain't mine if they be takin' after this handsome bloke?" He grinned at her, ears wiggling a little.

Ellandra huffed and turned away for a moment, then her lips twitched. "I don't know. What do you think, little ones?"

Kelly frowned at her. "Tha's not funny."

Ellandra bit back some laughter. "I think you're right, Annie. After all, Faolan is very handsome, isn't he?"

Faolan just made a noise of disablief. A knock on the door stopped his answer from coming, though, and he went to see who it was, finding the children's parents were there already to get them. "I take it you all had a nice evenin' out?"
Much thanks went around and some introductions for Elle and the parents then the children were collected and herded off for home.
Faolan leaned against the doorframe a moment, then grinned at Ellandra. "You gae rest awhile, lover. I'll finish cleanin' up."

Ellandra shook her head. "N-no, I'll help," she said quietly, smiling at Faolan. "Then we can rest together."

Ellandra nodded a little. "Well, yes." She paused for a moment, her bright grey eyes darkening as she thought about what to say to explain this. . . "While I was away. . . I found out what my mother was, Faolan."
