"I am not made of gears and cogs, but a ghost much like yourself. Or rather different?" Watcher watched a moment in amusement as Valkon tugged at the watch. He opened his hand so that the palm was in front of Valkon's face. There was a tattoo, or perhaps real, eye with the pupil a small slit. Valkon would see a mortal life, Valkon's own mortal life... Evrything from birth to death in a quick flash. "A new life you have, but you cling so to your past, do you not?" He than closed his hand and let Valkon have the watch, if he so choose to take it. Either way his hand withdrew back to the safety of the cloak to let the watch fall. "The strings of fate bind everyone little yokai. No one can escape them... some merely set new strings for others, but there are always strings attached."

What a day this had been. "Okay, I think I kind of get it now." Chief wasn't entirely sure if that was true himself. He knew he needed someone to help him out and Hawke seemed to know quite a bit, and his dad even more. There was also, their lord, Azmodeus. In time, he would have this whole thing figured out, he knew it. Or at least hopped he would. "Hawke, would you mind if I stuck around with you?" Hopeful the answer would be yes he refused to let his eyes move back to the fireworks. Just than the pink slyph appeared. She introduced herself as Alrana. Chief's face was no longer hurting, it hadn't hurt for quite some time now. He was thankful for that. "Ummm.... I was just asking about what was going on here." He sounded rather embarrassed about not knowing what was going on. He felt as if he shouldn't though, because he knew he wasn't the only one who was completely confused.

Always shoot for the Moon... Davenya squirmed still at the thought of David being back. He was ruthless but since his absence she'd learned how to fill in her gap of power and slowly the felling of a lose had been overwhelmed by her desire to right Jason's path in his afterlife for his life before death had been of blood and gore. Her desire in that matter had "saved" her from herself. For surely her childish good doer ways would cause her to tumble over the edge of extreme. Davenya sighed and nodded confidently taking in what the watcher said before he disappeared. He'd said all the ghostlings had returned save for Az and apparently Kita for she'd been taken away to the dark. Davenya merely shrugged at it. She'd escaped she didn't quite know how it was that Kita had been captured other then that she had. Davenya almost giggled however at the thought of the Festival for while she was concerned about that of her brothers wereabout she always loved a festival fore with a festival was pretty shinies that never failed to catch her eye.
In excitement Davenya danced off away from Quanitela intent on helping with the festival where she ended up passing by a tent full of yet to be used Fireworks and she giggled and peeked in she carefully swiped a couple and made them disappear into a realm of shadows that she was able to travel to and through. She grinned and set out to find ways to help which was when she came across a little charm dragon with an adorable mask and a slightly childish looking face that seemed to provoke a sense of ease through her, though she'd forgotten about her brother she had been still ill at ease because she knew him to be there. He seemed to be searching for something to do. Or rather that was what Davenya thought he was doing. She approached him hoping he wouldn't leave before she got to him. "S'cuse me." Davenya wasn't always the best verbally because she often would shorten or blend her words when she would try to speak in a rush. She hoped that the friendly looking Charm Dragon would hear her.
David's tail worked it's way back and forth as he listened. Venus had scampered away to get a better look at the Watcher and it had slightly aggravated him that Venus's affection was so easily swayed. A part of him screamed that she was his little toy. The Little oversoul had been a sort of comfort to his failure to act. She'd made him feel that just merely his thoughts were good That the lingering doubt, that he wasn't really a ghostling of the darkness as he had thought, was no more ture then she was an actual ghostling. David wanted to hiss as he looked about him and watched the other ghostlings. Then once more his eyes fell upon his snow white sister and he actually felt his heart melt. A part of him sorely seemed to miss her even if she was the reason he could not act on his diabolical plans. David had become the scholar not the warrior that would act. Then there was his sister that rarely bothered with books and research and that such 'nonesense' as she had often called it. David hissed at the warming and stalked off looking to others the dark fey seemed to blend in quite well with shadows other then the obvious fact that his markings glowed a neonish blue an exact match to that of his sister. Flames of the lantern hung as decoration danced over his lense's it was odd to find a ghostling with not perfect sight but others didn't seem to mind and he didn't really care. His silver hair swayed as he made his way around he was not one for social interactions. He was an observer of sorts that preferred to take not of the little details.
...because even if you miss you'll land in the stars.

Hikaru quickly kneeled down beside the ghostling with a shark like tail Hikaru had a concerned expression"if you need to talk i can listen"Hikaru says in a soft tone aside from being a guardian she was also a good listener
Hikaru proceeded to sit down next to the crying ghostling and was ready to listen when she suddenly heard the shouts and saw the fireworks she loved festivals they were always so much fun she then suddenly realized something was in what little pocket she had
She carefully reaches in and finds a token she looked at it curiously then looked at a nearby stand and saw people trading them in to play games that made Hikaru smile but she remebered the ghostling she was sitting next to she turns back to her holding the token waiting with a soft smile to listen to the ghostling

The last of the tears rolled down her cheek. She sniffled a bit than regained her composure. After a few deep breaths she was able to talk. Jewel noticed the sireni eying a small token and the game stands. She didn't want to be rude and kinda wanted to go participate in the festivities too. "Oh it's nothing really, I promise." She smiled sweetly trying to look sincere. "It's just that all of whats happening is all so confusing and overwhelming." Maybe she would see Percy again. That made her blush a little. She decided to dismiss Percy's running away as simply nervousness and that she wouldn't worry about it. "What do you say we go enjoy the festival?" She would inform her more on what really happened later. It was sorta funny, she was all worked up a minute ago and now she thought it was silly to get that upset. She giggled a little.

Hikaru smiles and nods she figured some one just caring enough to offer to listen helped even alittle hikaru had not really done anything but felt good anyway because the ghostling felt better
Hikaru nods to the ghostlings offer and stands up brushing herself off alittle she then holds her hand out to help the other ghostling up"oh im hikaru by the way"she says and briefly looks at the token again sense she spent most of her live life with pirates she had a eye for shiny things or things that intrested her

Lysombre stared at the goings-on with astonished eyes. Gods and Goddesses? Strings of fate? What the hell? The Poltergeist was forced into listening to all that was going on in a kind of stupor. He had never considered that all of this - this lunacy, this madness - was part of the world. He had never considered... mush of anything, honestly, since he had become a spirit. He worried about what existed in front of him, he was concerned with only that which he could physically see: his human; all that surrounded his home; his travels. All of this, then, was overwhelming.
He stumbled backwards, away from the Yokai and the Watcher; so perturbed that he flickered into tangibility as he did so. And it was due to this that he felt something solid against his back, and a hand on his shoulder even as he yelped and slid his body into pure mana.

He was scared of her! The wispy ghostling jumped about a mile when she put her hand on him - which was much harder to do, when he went all ethereal like that.
Somber twitched as he spun around, smacking away the hand on him without another thought. His remorse for this upon seeing that it had been a lady's hand was slight. "What are you doing?" hissed the Poltergeist - the last thing he wanted to cause was some kind of scene. "Don't you know not to sneak up on others? It could get you hurt." ...Was that a bunny hood?
She smiled. He was burning now, visible and red and smoky. "I didn't sneak up on you. You ran into me! That can get you hurt - Lysombre~" She played with his name, drawing it out in a coo and leaning forward; rubbing her cheek against his taut one. Her laughter seemed a little more than amused as he jumped back and slightly higher in the air.
Somber glared at this new affliction. "Who are you," he demanded.
Her smile widened, an odd flash in hot pink eyes. But she refused to answer him as her eyes turned back to the Watcher, and these new and unfamiliar ghosts.

Hawke blinked at the pink ghostling and then at Chief. Did he have to explain it all again? He bristled slightly at the thought. "I'm Hawke. And this is Tai." Moving a bit closer to the lore, he curled up more in his tails. The shadows darkened around him a little more. The little ghostling was not used to so many unknown being around him. He had known everyone in the castle. "And you can stay, Chief. Chief knows some of it. My dad knows all of it and Uncle Chronos even more. Dad said that Chronos and Lord Azmodeus did not get brought here. He's unhappy about it and probably going to end up warring on whomever is responsible somehow. My dad.. I'm supposed to be watching for the crows. Clipper, Knick, Knack, and Feyne.. Oh yeah.. and Lenore. She's a raven. Then there are Nell, Frick, and Frack, the rats."
He petted Tai as he snuggled closer. "And now there's Tai." His eyes turned upwards to watch the dark sky between fireworks. No sign of the crows yet.
Tai Zahra watched the pink ghostling closely as Hawke curled more against him. It was obvious that Valkon's son was unused to so many around him that he did not know. The fact that he had accepted Chief quickly meant that he was at ease around him in some way. But when the ghostling pulled closer at the presence of Alnara, he curled his tails about Hawke more.
Turning his attention to Hawke, he said, "You have not lived before, have you? I mean you haven't died and returned a ghostling, have you, Hawke? I mean, you were born weren't you?"
Hawke nodded. "Born. Dad said my psycho momma stole part of him and did something. There were three of us. My sister Fosull is crazy too and she lives with momma but I live with my Dad. Not sure if our other was a boy or a girl. Never met them yet. Not even sure where they are." He shrugged. "Dad says he or she will find us some day."
Touma sat nearby amazed at the fireworks. They were so large and brilliant. He turned his head taking in all the explosions. It was then he noticed something. The watcher and that violet yokai were at it again. Curious.
Distracted, he turned to watch them forgetting the fireworks and festival. What were they up to? His eyes narrowed and he moved towards the clocktower. Perhaps they had simply not wanted their conversation heard. But he still thought that violet yokai was up to something. It was in his attitude.
He turned when he heard someone talking to him. Blinking in surprise, Touma nodded, bowing to Davenya. "Is there something I can help you with?" He glanced away and back up to where Valkon was temporarily. He still thought the yokai was up to something but turned his attention back to the ghostling next to him.
The yokai winced as the images flashed before him. Then he laughed as he took the watch pulling it towards him as Watcher withdrew a bit. "Loa already pulled that trick on me. She's psycho. Not unlike you I am beginning to think."
He chuckled as he thought for a moment. Drifting, he studied Watcher again. "A ghost perhaps but rather empty if you feel nothing as you state. Perhaps you should find a new job. Care to join me and break the strings of your puppetmaster?"
Valkon broke into outright amusement as he challenged the creature. "You might find out why we struggle even when on the hook. It's in our nature to fight. As humans. As ghosts. Why should I do as every other ghostling does? I'm not them and they are not me."
"My past life did mean a great deal to me, and I know I am stuck between both because of my death as well as what has happened in this life. I would have been Kita's. That much I will admit but I am Az's because of her actions." A smirk crossed his face. "At least for now."
Valkon finally admitted, "I loved the forest and the creatures and constantly wandered there. It was my choice that day I died to do as I did. I had not a care in the world as I wandered there smelling the flowers and exploring. I still do care about those things and the animals, but there is also more now that needs my concerns. I pranked as much as I helped even after I died. I was so angry to be tossed out. Az chose to protect those of us and I had little choice at the time." Valkon laughed, glancing at himself. "I was much smaller then. And yes, I do still cling to some pieces of my past. I freely admit that, but that is only as it should be, Watcher. The past shapes us as much as the present does as the future will. There are things there that I will never let go of, but there are things there better left forgotten too, Watcher. They have been replaced and it is different now."
He frowned for a long moment before continuing, simply staring at the Watcher as he held the watch and note tightly. "The animals, I will protect them from him even if he thinks he will kill everything as he said. Humans.. bah.. I care little about them right now. I saw what was done that day by my own father and those with him. Let Az have them. I may very well have to stand up to him one day to protect what I do care for. Despite his 'marking'. When that day comes, I will do as I need to, just as I have this day."
"For this moment, Az has my loyalty. And this is one way to repay him. But it's not even entirely about him, but another. A friend. I will not leave him shut out because of the whims of two who deign to grace us with their presence." He smirked slightly. "I do not know them. I do him. And strings can be cut. There's always a way. Always. If one waits long enough for it. And I have all the time I need. I am dead. Perhaps in time I'll find a way to break even Fate."
He laughed again, extreme amusement in his expression. Talking semantics with someone who obviously did not even feel as the rest of them did. It was amusing if nothing else and his tails began twitching again. It was time to move on to the next part of what he needed to do to return Chronos.

Alnara smiled at the Hawke boy,"It's a pleasure to meet you Hawke..." Alnara then looked down at the...thing. She half smiled at it cause it scared her... "Nice to meet you...also...Tai..." He was totally giving Alnara the stink eye. Hawke seemed a bit frightened by Alnara. Maybe it was because she was a girl? Alnara knew lots of boys who were shy around girls. She was usually shy around guys also and she found shy boys actually pretty cute. Alnara giggled at Hawke and winked at him just to tease him. Alnara heard Tai and Hawke talk about being human in a past life..."I was human once...a princess of a kingdom." Alnara explained that much, but did not say much else.

Davenya nearly jumped when he actually turned toward her. She had no clue as to why she'd actually jumped. Although apart of her actually believed he'd not hear her. Though his turning had startled her she found herself pleased that she'd caught his attention. Then came his bow. Davenya almost widened her eyes in surprise. It wasn't exactly rare for one to bow but Joachim had been the first and last one to bow to her... that she remembered. Such thoughts seemed to cause a small shadow to pass across her face before she nearly broke into a giggling fit. Thoughts of Joachim lost to a little kid sense of being bowed to as if like a princess. Davenya did her best to suppress the giggles and once she succeeded she thought on his question before he glanced away for a moment or two.
Quietly Davenya watched him while his attention was briefly captured. Davenya minded naught she was still trying to control herself. She seemed all giddy which was normal for her at times thought sometimes she was like a time bomb. Or somewhat slightly bipolar though it wasn't true her mind just wandered about and bounced about thought fluttering one way then the other. Davenya still grinning settled on what she was going to say to his asking if he could help her with anything of something of the sort. Davenya's grinned faded and turned to a frown as she forgot what she was going to say. She sighed softly wanting to swear but she'd never really taken up the art of swearing and she knew naught what to say. She tapped her chin lightly and cocked her head to the side some what before smiling softly "I got it." She proclaimed happily she'd not actually captured the exact same thought but rather another one. "Well sir I was wondering if you'd like to help me find something to help with. I really love Festivals but never seem to find anything to help with. I have fireworks that they haven't used yet. Or I could get something else if you like." Davenya nodded and seemed like a moth drawn to the flame. She'd come across the Charm Dragon in hopes of finding a partner in doing helper like things.

Jewel toke Hikaru's hand and get up on her feet. "I'm Jewel. Nice to meet you Hikaru." With that she darted off into the crowd of people and than looked back to make sure Hikaru was fallowing her. Than she looked around at the flashing lights in the sky, all the people, and the colorful prizes in the fun looking stands. She could hardly believe herself. She never got to experience this. Her father never allowed her to in her life. It was all so new and odd, but great all the same.
Chief bowed graciously. "Thank you very much hawke." He said gratefully, than smiled. He noticed that ever since Alrana came Hawke had gotten much closer to Tai. He didn't think Alrana winking would help very much, just probably make him even more nervous. There wasn't really too much he could do. He seemed to be finding comfort in Tai though. He wondered what exactly it was Tai was there for. It must have been to protect him. What could be making the poltergeist so nervous? Was it him? Was it Alrana? What was so threatening about Alrana?
