Hellbane Laster

PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 6:53 am

*The group of five were hemmed in without back up, but outside the barrier, more security staff were arriving by the minute.

Red mist seeped out of Iden's cell and started filling the area. With his wounds, Iden would be at risk from the stuff within ten minutes, at the rate it was released. On top of that, the two gunmen were already happily shooting for him, while Jackie knelt and lashed for him with her whip, looking to pull his feet out from under him. The two melee units hung back for now, though one moved slightly to the side to fire a taser at Iden, the two prongs almost projectile like, held to the main unit by long wires. If they hit Iden woudl be instantly electrocuted.*

Get him BACK in his cell Jackie! I will not have this compromised by him even getting to the WEST wing let alone loose!
Understood sir, already on it...

Iden wasn't going to need ten minutes. He ducked behind one of the cells, and grinned like a beast. He was acting out of desperation, which made the dodge all the easier. He had nothing to hold back for, which meant Celerity was cranked.

Electricity crackled and whips snapped, but he was not standing near still enough. His movements were nigh impossible to track as he ducked back around the corner and lunged. The taser cracked past his ear, leaving the man holding it nigh defenseless as the vice grip latched around his wrist. Iden spun, whipping the man off balance and pulling him into the role of a meatshield. The other weapons thudded into the guard's back as Iden planted his boots on his chest, and kicked.

The man ragdolled through the group, knocking the other gunman's aim off. With a horrid crunch, his face met with the strange barrier that had cut them all off from the outside world. He crumpled, bleeding and unconscious.

The moment's pause say Iden moving to take the next shooter. Jackie was not slow as her underlings, however, and took Iden's shoulder with her favored whip. The snatch at the gun was successful, but Iden had not torn it free. With a snarl, he bounded backwards, through the rushing guards with their shock mauls, and shoulder checked the woman. With the sharp tug on his weapon pulling him off balance, the gunman tumbled forward, giving Iden the moment he needed to stomp the man's neck and snap up his rifle. There was no hesitation in clamping his finger on the trigger; celerity hasted his reactions to a fraction of the time it took any of his assailants to so much as turn.

Yet Jackie was quicker than he expected. The whip may have fallen from her hands, but in its place was a wicked looking pistol. The needlegun was lifting as Iden spun, and the first shot took the weapon from his fingers.

There was no time. Pure, utter desperation mandated a speedy reaction beyond what day to day combat would allow. His palms slapped at her hand and went for the throat...they would be struggling with each other, grappling for the advantage. He was strong, certainly stronger than she was, but she was nimble. It led to a stalemate for the moment, though he knew in time he could win.

Call Hellbane. CALL HIM HERE.

Brute force would push the two struggling people towards Iden's cell, where the crackling bars still hummed with electricity. ONE of the two of them was going to be fried in a minute, if things kept going.

((Scuse lazy lack of account change))

Smile, you're on candid camera. He hears you.

*Jackie grinned at Iden.. and locked herself with him. Strength rippled up her arms, limbs bulging a little as her muscle mass increased. SHe was NOT going to let him throw her into the electrified bars, and would rather hold him still that force him into them in turn.*

Aint no easy way out DeSeer. Give up now and I'll resist the urge to beat you stupid...er.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 8:00 am

I don't want him to HEAR me. I want to SEE him. Big difference, b***h.

He was being forced backwards. The sadistic jailer was far stronger than expected, strong enough to lock Iden in place and push him towards the bars. It had only been seconds...and now he was close to losing. Just an inch more...

The b***h would know that a boot hit her in the spine, and little else. Form of Mist was once again Iden's friend, though it left him staggering for the effort to plant his feet on her back and shove with everything he had. If she DIDNT fry...well, he'd be surprised.

*Iden would NEED all four - of their blood, only about half of each was useable. Leaving him better off, but likely still not on top form.
As he moved with purpose for Jackie and brought the maul down, the sound of her face squishing and the resultant roar of pain her stil living form gave masked the flicker behind Iden. As he attacked, Bane set his hand to Idens shoulder, digging nails into him as he turned those icey blue eyes to look at the blue haired fighter.

Bane was walking disease, and Iden was already ingesting poisons form what he'd eaten. What Bane afflicted him with now was unclear, svae that there was ALSO poison in his touch. Like a striking viper, he pumped an inhibitor into Iden, then stepped back, to wait for his body to lock up.*

Speak. I am here.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 8:41 am

The fact that Bane snuck up on Iden was...impressive. He was honestly taken by full surprise. True, crushing a good portion of Jackie's face had felt good, but the nails driven into his shoulder. But Bane was there, so Iden began to speak...in two different ways, meant for two different people.

You need better quality staff. Look at this...thing. I hope for your sake not all your people are incompetent like this...it'll make my job easier.

:: Roan, I know you're in here. For God's sake, tell me you can hear me! ::

I don't know why you're doing what you're doing, or how...but I will not be a puppet. I will, however...be a worker. A soldier. But never a slave.

Inhibitors were one thing, but they took at least a little time. The needle pistol was in Iden's hand, barrel pressed to his ribs. He would not let himself succumb, not yet.

*When he wanted, Bane could be LITERALLY silent. He'd snuck up on Roan before, after all.*

The quality of my staff was never tested against such as yourself. But she should not have taken findings from one subject as granted for another. She was not a scientist, of any sort.

*Hellbane frowned, tilting his head as he heard his elites come up behind him, stuck on the far side of the barrier*

I do not desire a... puppet. OR a soldier. Nor either a slave. You are merely the latest test bed, a subject only. Like you rmother before you, I have NO interest in what you are or can do, only in your make up. You will incubate the revised Bane virus for me, and we will observe the effects on yourself and those explosed to you. If you choose to do this voluntarily would be of benefit to me, but... it is inevitable either way.

*As Bane spoke, Iden would feel a slight twitch not TOO far away from him. The familiar tiwtch of Roan, though her mind was a MESS. :.

.: Wh?? Who? :.

*Some part of her sang with joy for FINALLY finally hearing a voice INSIDE her head, where silence had been killing her worse even than what Bane;s people had done to her, but her fractured mind didnt QUITE understand*
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 8:59 am

I say you're full of s**t. You want a lab rat, you don't need to rob them of who they are. Science or no science, I'm not stepping into your lab to become a mewling little braindead puppet.

:: Oh God...Its me! Iden! Come on, Roan, you know who this is! ::

You want your incubator, whoop de do for you. But either I keep my feet, or you don't get s**t.

His arm was losing feeling. He was stalling, trying to buy time. Clenched teeth and bulging veins showed that he was fighting the restrictions pumped into his system, forcing himself to stand and hold steady.

You may keep you self, I have no use for your mind or need to use it for our achievements here. Research in that area has sadly been inconlusive and tying up resources I need elsewhere.

However, I do not need someone of your background attempting to guard ANYTHING down here. Do you understand?

Sir...

Silence.

.: Iden... another trick? My poor son... I fought, you know... so glad you are not here... Iden... :.

*Beneath the weak and ocnfused voice, a flicker... a brief glimpse at the pool of will and reserve that they had not touched, merely force dher to hide away, for now. Roan.. was in there somewhere.*
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 9:16 am

At the least, give us the dignity of being somewhere other than a ******** ZOO.

:: Goddammit, Roan, they got me. I'm trying, but...come on, COME ON! STOP BABBLING! I need you to get out of here for the both of us! ::

But you know what? You're full of s**t. ******** you.

His fingers were twitching, but he had steady enough hands to let the needle gun fall to aim at Jackie's head, and squeeze the trigger. He kept squeezing, until his finger just would not move. The inhibitors were doing their thing, and for once...Iden just didn't have it in him to play the martyr, terrified though he was.

.: Iden. :.

*Roan's voice was stronger as Hellbane turned off the barrir preventing Iden going anywhere and anyone else coming in. Security teams rushed in, headed by Bane's elites, flowing around the living disease to tackle Iden to the ground and bind him in full restaints whiel Bane watched without interest*

Find Issa. Let us hope she does not turn out to be such a failure as Jackie. Take her upstairs and made use of.
Would you like us to put him in the west wing?
No. Modify a cell in this block. I do not want him near the Matriarch. SHE is still of use in development. He will be the new subject... AFTER the toxins are purged. Do not fail me again.
No sir.

*Bane turned and walked away as aninjection to knock Iden out mentally as well as physically was given, gesturing with one hand*

Put him in a cage and lock the doors. Our little zoo exhibit has a long way to go...

.: Iden.... my son... no one... hurts my sons... :.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 9:31 am

Next to Bane, the air seemed to shimmer. The light clacking of claws on the ground became the soft stepping of shoes. Where once was nothing, now Maximillian stood, in his full glory.

The scientists have been reading increased brain activity since he began speaking with you in the primary subject. I would advise they both be kept in shielded containment.

There was no preamble to the advise; Max was business first, as always. He continued to keep stride with Bane, even as additional input from his numerous sources fed through the strings that bound them all to him.

Perhaps the conditioning is not being thorough enough. Once again...I wish to request that more time be given to the project. This proves we are being to hasty in our assessments of the subject.

For your aims, yes. However the new virus is progressing beautifully, and a much better subject has come to my attention with regards to the mental programme I originally envisioned.
A lot of extra effort will be required to obtain him, but if the subject is viable, I will let you know details when they come clear.

Viral is currently engaging the original subject. Depending on results there will depend on our revised time scale. If he falls... you may have the Lady for as long as you desire Max. If not... we will have ot see what occurs.

I wholeheartedly agree on turning on shielding on this level. I had not expected such to even be possible. Then again... I had expected Iden to be properly neautralised on entry. Jackie... has a lot to answer for. Please look in on the matriarch in person, Max. Anythign else you require will be provided to you immediatly. You have my full trust in this matter.

*Hellbane glanced at Max as they walked along, holding hand out to recieve an injector from an aide, which he applied to his own flesh*

He displays remarkable tolerance to the weaknesses of his bloodline.

It was an offhand observation, a statement of the obvious more than anything else. Still, it was not his decision.

It is not my project that I am concerned for. The dead ones hold no interest to my own research. My primary concerns are the inherent instability the matriarch seems to display. I would rather see her terminated and use the younger blood than release her prematurely.

It was a subtle bait. He knew that ran counter to Bane's schemes, and the value Roan held. Despite this, it was an honest opinion; Maximillian was displeased with the haste in which the methods were being applied to strip the subjects of their resistance. It was not thorough enough. This was likely the single greatest source of contention between the two.

Whether the Lady lives or dies is of NO consequence once ALL data has been mined and there is only so much more we CAN gain from her. If you wish to have the youngblood... so be it, he is yours. I know YOUr studies do not co-incide with the undead element, but you ARE here to work WITH my people Maximillian. Im sure you can fit it into your schedule.

The matriarch will remain MY concern only. A side project if the young blood proves useful. You see as a scientist only my friend. The Matriarch's worth is incredible. Even to you. She has seen a bredth of human development through the years, and is even a window into your own kind 500 years or so ago. To terminate her when she is so well containted would be a waste.

*Hellbane glanced at Max, but no anger or annoyance showed*

Prove to me Iden can be more useful, and prehaps termination of the source will be more viable.
