The three in the lead seem to be itching for some action, however the armored gaurds could care less about the escaping prisoners. This fence is not leading out of the camp, but into a separate part for the fortified base. There are several tents and patrol stations, it is apparent that this is the main camp and rest area. There is a way out, a giant hole in the wall. Presumably made by the second scorpion being fought in the middle of the camp.
Either exist seems blocked by a scorpion and guards. The main gate is the best bet if you want to fight your way out. The hole in the rear wall is the best course for a quick and stealthy get away.

My eyes narrow, and I'm wondering why the people I'm stuck with are so eager to get it on with guards who are otherwise occupied.
"Oh, the hell with it," I say, turning toward the rear entrance. "If you guys want to stay and fight 'em, you're welcome to. I, on the other hand, am getting out of here."

OoC: So let me understand the area. We have two giant scorpions, one attacking near the main entrance and one attack the barracks. We also have an enraged ogre attacking the wizard and cleric. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of these accounts.

ooc: The ogre is still trapped. But he threw something at them. Which will be revealed when Hana posts. There are two scorpions and a bunch of gaurds. However they are mostly distracted by each other. Mooo is running, presumably to sneak out. And is therefor headed in the same direction as Mig, X, and Bob.
Also, the second scorpion is in the middle of a training field, headed toward the barracks.

Whilst the majority of the group proceeds toward the sneaky exist, the ogre's attack makes contact. Shards of ice shatter out of the doorway, striking at the wizard. They do not do much damage [see above] but, the do hit her.
The brunt of the damage comes from an object thrown out at the adventurers. A lute flies out and strikes the cleric hard in the back of the head. She is unconscious, laying beside a now broken bardal instrument.

:As I said originally, since the guards have better things to do (i.e. not killing us) I say we run and let the scorpions entertain our hosts. Anyway, on to actual things happening.:
Drothal leaves the unconscious person he just met in the middle of the compound.

"We've not really got the time to go looking for the bard. If he was interested in escape he had a chance when we broke out. Bring it with us, perhaps he'll show up on our way. Wherever we are going. For now it seems all's quiet on the western front."

* Xavier's legs are wrapped in a faint magical aura. *
Xavier:"Go on. I'll catch up."
* Running faster than most horses and even some well trained monks (base speed now 60 and running), Xavier darts back into the cells. He spots the bard and hands over the broken instrument. *
Xavier:"Sorry about the condition but some magic or a good craftsman should be able to get it working again. Also, there is an exit that the group is heading towards in the wall near the guard quarters. Watch out for bugs."
* Xavier waits for a moment to see if the bard has anything to say. If not then he takes off to catch up with the group. *

The group is splintered. The thief, mage and cleric are left stuck inside the prison compound as the bandits begin to overtake the scorpions, blocking the exits.
