Here it comes... Rednal thought. Pattern recognition was useful. Still, he had to try. "Faust. Relax. I realize this is all pretty wild, but it's only going to be more difficult if you try to fight it. Everybody has their own issues to deal with, and these Shadows like to go with an aspect of that. There's no shame in being human, after all. It's going to be hard, but you need to try to put aside your usual reactions and accept yourself for who you are..." Rednal thought for a few moments. "Or you can go and reject it, I suppose, at which point it'll go crazy and we'll beat it up for you." Was there even any point in trying to talk people into accepting their deeper feelings? That didn't seem like such an easy thing for anybody to do if they didn't already feel that way... but Rednal realized, after a moment, that he wanted to hope that other people were strong mentally, too, and wouldn't reject themselves. "It's your decision now, Faust. Can you accept yourself yet, or do we get to do this the hard way?"

Faust turned around, hearing familar voices. Oh no, were there other people here to hear all of this?
He heard Rednal from the other day, and Chie.
"N-No!!" he called. "You don't understand, This isn't me. I'm nothing like that!!"
The shadow chuckled darkly.
"Once more, where I can hear it this time, Would you, other me?" She called, Faust turned.
"Shut up!!" he called, frantic. "You're not me!!"
At this the shadow chukcled. Faust suddenly felt weak, as the shadow started to glow a deep red, with energy coming out of it.
Before he knew it, he had passed out again, and in the shadow's place, stood what looked like Faust. However, there was something definitely odd about it. One half of it had the hair tied back, and for the most part looked like Faust. The other half however, looked more like his shadow, and it's hair flew freely. The eyes were split too, one looking like Faust's, and was bright blue, the other, yellow like a shadows. It's outfit looked a bit torn, the shirt of it covering the female side, but exposing the male hald, and the pants were torn as well, the girl side cut off like shorts, and the guy side kept long like pants.
"I am...a shadow.." the thing called, as large wings spurted out of it's back, and it started to flap, a tail appearing as well.
"I just wanted to be a girl, why can't you understand that?" it called, as it stood, angrily glaring at everyone.

Chie noticed as Faust rejected his shadow, like most people before him, and it shifted.
"Wh-what is that?" she started, looking at the thing. However, Rednal jumping into action seemed to bring her back to reality.
She adjusted her glasses, and broke her card, as her persona twirled it's weapon around, and she felt a wave of power going through her.

"Actually, no." Rednal answered immediately. There was a pulse of energy around him, and the intense feeling of fright faded, an effect of his Instant Recovery ability. "One thing about your type is that you seem to be pretty resilient... but I think a few more hits like that will take you down, and my friends are here with me to help as well. You may be tough, but so are we, and your emotions aren't so strong as to overcome everything we have. You're nothing more than a fragment of your creator. And in my case, I have the God of the World protecting me, so little stunts like that aren't going to help much." he was already gathering power for his next attack, ready to launch it when his teammates joined in. Hopefully, they could get over their fear fairly quickly... While he was totally confident about his chances against lesser Shadows, more major ones like this needed to be fought as a group.

Faust's shadow sneered at Rednal's comment, but felt the golden hand crash into it.
It shrugged the attack off, feeling as it didn't hurt it as much as it should have.
"Is that all?" it called, as it let out a Ghastly wail, knocking the only one that was quivering in fear, Teddie.

Rednal exhaled. "Black Viper." he said again, pounding into the Shadow as hard as he could. The strategy was simple. Hit it until it fell. He hadn't yet heard of a Shadow that had ever listened to reason at this stage, so the usual tactic was to defeat it with all the power they could muster. Nice and simple, just the way he liked it. Rednal didn't intend to give up no matter what happened; it just wasn't his style to let somebody die, even if that person was a stranger... which Faust wasn't.

Yukiko watched as Teddie fell from the shadow's attack and pulled out her card about to slice it as she heard Chie calling to her. "Yes Chie?" She called back pulling her fan straight through the card sending an attack right at the shadow as it healed itself.
