The small boy, looked up at the looming stone, it's edge a few feet above his short white spikes of hair. Blue eys blinking, below a sweat covered brow. Raine bent down, trying the jump high enough to get to the edge. His hands clapping the top but slipping back. This was too impossible, he would be there all night at this rate. "Gah." Tsuyosa-sensei wasn't even this hard on him.

Raine tried to grab the edges, of the rock. To pull himself up, it failed horribly and hurt his fingers. Jumping up to try and grab the top of the rock, his finger barely touched the top, and his shoulder screamed in agony, as stitches broke. The side of the stone was so smooth that he couldn't get a grip on that at all, and came clapping his sandals back into the dirt, with each attempt.

Raine tried again, circling to the other side of the rock. Bending down, and jumping. the sun not even touching the tip of his head, from behind the shadow. The rock was just too big! working around to the back of the rock, he pushed his mowhawk back while he tried to think of a plan, maybe this was another test. A trick to see if he could get over something there was no way he could do. Looking around for something to stand on, the boy found nothing and figured the only thing that would work, would have been the rock that he had pushed over the small cliff parallel to him.

Raine grabbed the top of the stone, his fingers clinging on for a second the small boy dangled for a second, trying to bend his arms and wrist in a way that would pull him up. But the tips of his fingers weren't enough. Raine dropped to the ground looking back at aoshiro.... he shook his head, all this stuff was ridiculous it made more sense to do stuff that he could actually manage and than do a lot of that. Than he could move to this higher level stuff. Maybe coming along for some training wasn't such a good idea.

The small boy tried finding a space to grab on the rock, a small handhold. but there was nothing, he would just have to jump and pull himself up. But he could barely reach the top, jumping two feet was a long ways for a nine year old. And he knew he didn't have the leg power to jump much higher. He should probably think into some dexterity training later. The boy sighed, trying to jump up again, his finger slipped off the edge and he fell back.

"Ah, crap!" he said getting more frustrated, not only was lifted this big a** rock more stressful and hard than anything. Raine couldn't reach the top of this if he had a stool. The small boy flung his fist out, smashing into the rock. Without his Aian Nakkurru it was much more painful, but his bare fist rumbled the stone. He seethed and jumped again and again trying to get his hand up on top of the stone. but to no avail, he tried for long minutes that were painfully frustrating.

"So you were defeated in each battle is that what you are saying ?"
He asked as he looked down at the boy wondering if he could ever finish the training without dying from exhaustion.

Raine looked back to Aoshiro as he spoke. He wasn't afraid to admit he lost, it was all about learning to become a ninja. "Yeah, but they're kage you know. All jutsu and no dignity of fists. That's how I fight you know. Like a true warrior, like a reckless fist fighter!" He said this, and leaned back against the rock, than again that didn't really fit into the definition of 'ninja' The small boy shook his head, and went back to trying to get on top of the rock.

Raine jumped and felt his fingers on the sharps edge. Staring up at the line of stone that cut a horizon into the sky behind it The small boy hatched an idea. He couldn't walk up walls but he could surely run a few feet up them. And this rock being as thick and smooth as a wall would hopefully do fine. Stepping back, the boy took a running start, his feet slipping as they hit, but carrying just enough over the edge that he could slip his whole hand around the edge. Pulling himself up and rolling his elbows over the edge Raine crawled up to the top. Proud and confident, he stood on top of the rock and looked down at Aoshiro. "Aoshiro-sensei, One down!" he flung up his finger in victory jumping down back in front of the rock.

Raine leaned down once more. Taking a deep breath, knowing what he was about to do. This was insanity, and that was what the tekkenseisai were all about. Shoving his fingers under the stone, Raine growled for a second while nothing happened. The rock soon shifted though, and lifted from the ground. Small dirt chunks below fell from the bottom, as he lifted the stone higher. He definitely felt the stitches breaking in his shoulders once more, as every muscle stressed in his body to get the rock up past his waist. His face glowed red and veins in his arms popped forward. Slowly he lifted the rock over his face, and above his head. Thrusting it back toward Aoshiro. He ran up from behind, kicking at the bottom of the rock, and latching his fingers onto the top of the stone. contracting up, his arms burned, and Raine kicking his leg over. Standing once more, two fingers held out and fierce smile on his face.

Raine shoved his fingers under the rock once more filled with confidence. But an other stick broke beneath his collar and his flesh popped open. The small boy sunk his head down in a fit of agony. his fingers still beneath the rock. Pulling quickly the rock came up quickly and went back down just as it had come. He hadn't placed his feet, of even his stance in the right way. Quickly he pulled his finger out, from the massive weight. Hating the fact that he couldn't budge the stupid rock. Just this morning he had been smashing rocks like this into pieces. He wanted nothing more than the smash this rock now.

Determined, Raine took a breath, resting for a second. He leaned up against the stone again and set his forehead on the cool stone. sliding down slowly, Raine spread his arms, around the edge of the stone and stuck his finger down in the ground. Beneath the stone, they lay still for a second, flinching when he pulled them up the rock, lifted a bit and light burst over the ground below the stone. but it soon fell back as Rain's arms gave out.

He strokes his shin and nods as he hears what the kid had to say about the kages. He had to agreed with this as all the kages his met thus far were all jutsu and no tai, but then again that wasn't far from what he was himself.
"Ah I see, so technically you are a brawler, hum there is someone I would like you to have as a training partner some day but not yet neither of you is ready to fight in a fair match"

The boy shoved his fingers underneath the rock. This time determined to lift it off the ground. He did so and the rock rose steaily, getting very high and close to his neck.Trying to shift the position of his hand the rock wobbled, and raine's eyes shot open, the huge stone tumbled forward and he lost it in his hands. Dropping it forward, the stone crashed to the ground with a huge den and the boy sighed, looking back to Aoshiro who was talking to him. Raine honestly didn't want to know what kind of friends this guy had. Who knew! The boy smiled though. "Yeah brawler."

Discouraged and exhausted Raine walked to the fallen stone. The grass around it flattened, he sighed and bent down shoving his finger under once more which were now raw and sore. He was in a very awkward position in their new area and had to let go to get in a better spot. The boy looked over to the setting sun. His mom wouldn't even be expecting him, and Lavi had gone off on his own way. He could stay here as long as he wanted... reasonably of coarse.
